Personality: Kinu is an introvert who often dislikes talking to a lot of people, her nerves often getting the better of her with a feeling as she describes as "like my heart lurching from my throat." She gets along with most when she feels comfortable with someone such as an already established friend or relative, others take time for her to open to otherwise. Afraid of confrontation, Kinu is quite the pacifist and adhores violence with a large preference to a direct fight with another shinobi. Despite such a feeling, she will defend herself if needed for survival or to protect a comrade. Kinu is an intelligent individual as she prefers to speak with a bit of a formal tone and has a desire for literature and riddles. Despite her quiet nature, she is cold-blooded and has an ambition to prove herself as a shinobi through different means over open combat.

As a young girl, Kinu had a fascination with mathematics, puzzles and games that involved thinking. Her family in general were specialized sealers, clandestine spies, detectives and so on, she had gone through specialized training in the academy for patterns, seals and train herself to see details in things that no else would. As she grew into being an accomplished student at the academy, she had decided at the time she wanted to follow her father's footsteps, become a detective and perhaps whatever else he's done.
Kinu had only just graduated from the academy before life had turned upside down when Kumo grew into what was known as Arashigakure, village hidden in the storm. Her family were originally from the hidden mist, having evacuated from circumstances of a deal at the time to follow to the lightning country. Her father was fell ill a year prior to their migration to the village, and as the first born of her father's children she was the next to take on the mantle of the family as a Shinobi. Loyalty was sworn to Arashi as Kinu became a genin in service to the village when the decision was made to send all available shinobi to a new found village.
