The pride was flourishing, barring some small storms and the odd fishing incident that was soothed by a few grooming sessions and their medics long hours. But in the end all was done and dusted. It seemed there were more marriages and such going on as well which warmed the Lady's heart to no end, more blood in the pride would mean a boon to ensuring the future generations.
She wondered if she should consider looking for a husband?
Settled on the beach enjoying the evening as the sky was starting to turn pink and orange and deep blues over the beautiful calm ocean...it was just sublime and reminded her why she loved this land.

The beautiful sunset wasn't lost on Ele. The male was on an evening walk just so he could enjoy the beautiful colors. His expression wasn't as severe as it usually was, and those that knew him the best would see his lips had curled into the smallest smile. Before he realized he'd needed this walk to just try live in a moment of peace, Ele's mind wouldn't stop nagging thoughts about those storms. They might have been small, but it had worried the Lord in a way that he fixated on. So he'd set out aimlessly. Ele forced himself to focus on flowers he saw here or there, how the grass was blowing in the wind. Just little things that he wouldn't have normally noticed. In time he relaxed. His paws had taken him to the beach, where the calm ocean danced with gem like shines of color. "Beautiful," he breathed out, eyes locked on the horizon.

Vauhna noticed the lion out of the corner of her eye, ears flicking in his direction before she noticed him looking out over the tapestry of colours that the sky had become with the sunset, smiling to herself she stood up to go over and greet him. She'd approached just as he commented on the sky and took a moment more to appreciate it.
"It is isn't it?" She responded, making sure to atleast be a softer volume with her words as to not completely startle him. He looked a little on edge. "Are you well today?"

He wasn't as startled as he could be when he heard the voice. Ele's ears did flick back and his tail puffed slightly, but over all he just slowly looked over toward the voice before he saw the female there. How hadn't he seen her? Now there was a fluttering feeling in his stomach. "Sorry for intruding," he murmured softly. "...I am better now than earlier, so, yes I think." He answered her question and gave a softer expression as he finally composed himself, settling on his haunches. "....Are you well?"

Even if she hadn't startled him as badly as she'd feared, she offered an apologetic expression at the slight puffing of his tail and offered a polite bow of her head in greeting with the same warm smile on her features.
"You're not intruding, it's the pride's beach after all...and I'm doing quite well, just fed." Her curious eyes settled on him as she sat herself down next to him. "Were you not doing so well earlier?"

"I... take things too seriously when something goes awry. I think about it too much." It's what he'd been told time and again, but he couldn't help it. His tail flicked in an annoyed manner beside him as he stared up at the sunset still. Ele rolled his shoulders after a moment. "So I forced myself to walk and focus on the smaller things. I ...noticed it gets me out of ....the moods."

Vauhna listened on quietly to his words before nodding gently, she knew that feeling. Noticing the tail flick and offering a small reassuring smile.
"I see, I'm often told I mother everyone too much or fuss over them, a 'worry wart'." She then glanced at him. "It's good to balance those things out so you don't stress yourself out, but without some serious faces here and there nothing serious would get done...so it must be appreciated on some level."

A worry wart? "Worrying's a healthy thing to do...I suppose I'm the same, in perhaps too much worry does negative things to lions." But she seemed to like that he tried to balance himself out. Ele wasn't sure he was doing it right, but he was trying. "Sometimes distracting myself like this doesn't work. Those nights I don't sleep for days on end. I'll eventually crash, my body forces itself to shut down and I'm asleep for a full day and night." That hadn't happened since he was an adolescent worried about this female in heat he'd come across in the rogue lands. Nothing happened with her, but he tried to stay close to fight off those males who'd just take from her and hurt her. "What do you do when you find yourself to fixated on the worry?"

"When I worry?" She smiled and looked over the waters barely kissed by the waning sunlight as she sat there beside the other. "I usually think on how far we've come, how well the pride's been doing, I tend to think on our accomplishments so I can let the little worries roll off my back...if for a little bit." She looked back towards him. "Or I talk to others to take my mind off."
Rolling her shoulders she let her paws gently settle in the sand. "Besides most of my worries are for things like pride member's health, how they've been settling, certain people here and there...but it happens, I tend to mother others a bit too much, even poor Faun."

She mothered his brother. That didn't sit too right with him. They'd never had a mother. He didn't get treated like that. A spike of jealousy over how Faun seemed to have anyone and everyone falling for him. Maybe not romantically, but he had friends. Ele just gave her a 'work smile' as best as it could be explained and nodded. "I see." They worried about the same things, but his seemed much harder to shake. Maybe it was because of how he was. She could really offer no real advice for his worries. Talking of them, when he wasn't sure how to form his thoughts into words was out of the question. That and he wouldn't want to bother anyone with his thoughts. Everyone had their own things to do. Letting them roll off his back was also not an option. If he could do that, he wouldn't be where he was in the first place. Ele went quiet after that, trying to process things internally, just staring off straight ahead of him now. "Thank you for talking with me."
