After starting to get instruction from Harmotome, Still had taken to spending more time at the sparring grounds. At this point, she wasn't actively participating in any spars yet---just observing. The captain had explained that developing the skill to read an opponent's body to anticipate the next strike went a long way. The rest of the lesson had then been dedicated to pointing out the signs to look for that were an indication of what move the opponent would use next. The corrupt hadn't thought about it before, but if people could read minuscule twitches in faces to decipher feelings, then this was just as valid.
So she watched agents spar, and she paid close attention to any tensing of limbs and movements, and then watched what followed. It was what she was doing now. Watching, one leg crossed over the other, and an elbow on her knee, which supported her chin.

He had been watching her.
It wasn't unusual; Wolfeite's penchant for following the people he was interested in learning more about was a habit that had long since stemmed from when he had only been Archer and he had found himself needing to know more about Lorne Benoit. Sometimes he still found himself angry that the man had disappeared, had slipped away right under his nose; he was not going to think about that now, or ever.
So he watched Stillwaterite, because she had thought herself to be too much of what she wasn't, and it was undeniably entertaining. The training grounds within the castle walls was meant solely for agents and corrupts to practice, which also meant that Wolfeite could approach the senshi without her realizing, all power signatures swirling around them, a comfortable blur of Chaos.
He came up beside her silently, hands tucked against the small of his back, as though he was any other agent simply observing, ears pointed upwards, the mask up around the lower half of his face. After a moment, Wolfeite said calmly,
"Taking notes?"

Another Chaos signature beside her hadn't set off any alarm bells. During the course of her time today, quite a few had come to observe as well and then left. It wasn't until the one now beside her spoke, and she heard his voice, that she realized this wasn't just another agent. Still hated the way she stiffened in response, and that she couldn't stop herself from the knee jerk reaction. Anyone else would have been preferable. It was easy to avoid agents if you tried hard enough. Destiny City was huge and each agent ran their own schedule, but she had been making it a point to make sure she would not run into him again. So much for that. The corrupt forced herself to return to the ease she had been moments prior, and didn't look at him. That facade of his of being controlled was back. For how long, who knew. "Not that it's any of your business."

He was undeniably pleased at the way her shoulders seemed to stiffen, at the way she seemed to instinctively understand what her place was when it came to him. Wolfeite's gaze was on the training circle in front of him, but he could sense it; the way she grew rigid in her seat, in spite of her cool, irritable tone of voice.
"Everything that goes on down here is my business," said Wolfeite lightly, voice slightly muffled behind the mask. An ear flicked towards Stillwaterite.
"Why aren't you out there? Content to stand on the sidelines the entire time you're here?"

Listen to him. She wished she didn't have to, but seriously, did he hear himself? Like he owned this place. Like he owned Negaspace. The scary part was, was that he probably believed he did. You couldn't argue with someone like that. She tried anyways. "The lack of oxygen from your high perch is clearly affecting your brain." She replied, her voice dipping into levels of cool. "You should come back down to earth before the damage is permanent." Trying to bait her, too. She wished she could go, but she refused to. She was here first, and she wouldn't run from this monster. It would only feed him (though how little she currently realized that now was still feeding him too). "You answered your own question earlier." Still replied. "It's best to study and learn before putting it into application."

He wasn't offended by her lack of acquiescence to his belief system, or his rank. Wolfeite knew his place, and he knew perfectly well that the Negaverse agents were much higher up than the corrupt senshi - at least according to several old fashioned people who couldn't see past the ends of their stupid noses. Wolfeite did not discriminate; in spite of Kamacite's flaws, the corrupt was an integral and necessary part of his pack and he had already proven himself to be useful. Stillwaterite could be useful too.
She just needed to be broken, first. Like a horse.
"Oh, so you are listening to me," said Wolfeite casually, arms folding across his chest. His golden gaze flickered down to where Stillwaterite sat, resolutely trying her best to ignore him, but he was pleased it wasn't working. "I didn't think you cared."
It was dripping with sarcasm. Wolfeite added, "It's understandable that you'd want to learn more, anyway, seeing as how you're not quite up on anyone's real level as it is."

" It's hard to ignore the buzzing of a fly after a length of time." Cared? Not in the slightest. The only thing she cared about concerning him was that he kept his claws off of her, and then leave her alone. It was hard to have anything of those things when he insisted on parking himself right here next to her. The corrupt nearly rolled her eyes at that blatant baiting, but now, she did look at him...and she kind of hated that he was standing, so that she had to look up. "You don't know what a real level is. You exist on your own imaginary plain and have lost all touch with reality." Her expression hardened. "Now leave me be, Wolfeite. I have no interest or desire to deal with you."

Her answer amused him, enough so that a grin formed behind the mask, feral and sharp and unseen, though his eyes cut towards Stillwaterite again, a quick flick of black and gold in her direction.
He was riling her up. He was pushing her past the reasonable tolerances that she might have held, and it was this that made Wolfeite feel a thrill of adrenaline and satisfaction, of triumph. He was still standing quite calmly beside her, arms folded over his chest, ears upright - an indication of his general mood, if anything.
"Unfortunately for you," said Wolfeite airily, "This is a public space and I'm perfectly within my rights to stand here and discuss things with you. That's all we're doing, isn't it?"
He gestured at the training field before them.
"We're discussing my apparent loss of senses and your inability to progress."

Still felt her jaw tighten, and as soon as she did, she was disappointed with herself. This General was worming his way under her skin through her finger nails far too fast. No one else to date had the same effect on her. Why was this becoming a problem now? She kept her stare on his face, even if he wasn't looking at her, and her stare was hard. "This isn't discussing." The corrupt replied, "And don't patronize me saying it's anything but harassment. I have no interest in dealing with you. Go find someone else to bother."

He felt another surge of triumph course through him, but tamped down on it. It wouldn't do him any good to show his hand all at once; that was the problem with many of these other so-called generals. Pushing things without thinking, understanding nothing, losing control of their lives.
Wolfeite gave a small, theatrical sigh.
"My my, you certainly have a flair for the dramatic," he said lightly. "I suppose it's only natural that you'd rather not talk with me, seeing as how you're not at my level yet. I wouldn't say you could ever be, seeing what you are, but perhaps you've given up."
He shrugged nonchalantly. "It's understandable."

Stillwaterite stood then. While she never cared about height, because she didn't view it as an intimidation tactic to be used, she was glad that she was nearly at his eye level. In some way, in this small but minor way, he couldn't look down at her. She stood a few scant inches away from him, and she looked him dead in those youma-altered eyes. " I don't ever want to be at your level."

She was tall, he had to give her that. And she was strong minded, which was precisely why he liked her in the first place, Wolfeite's gaze flickering towards Stillwaterite as she came in front of him, her eyes locking on his with a sort of intensity that thrilled him.
Good. Break.
The feral, toothy smile was still wide behind the mask, something in Wolfeite's eyes glinting.
"Good," Wolfeite hissed, low and growling. "Because you'll never be. Not when you're as weak-hearted as you are."

It shouldn't have bothered her, but it did. She knew, knew, he was goading her. She still just couldn't understand how this thing was allowed to be a General. "It's a weak heart that would fall for your tactless and overhanded bullying. What's the matter, Wolfeite?" She sneered. "Can't inspire confidence and camaraderie through honest work and dedication? So you have to brow beat whichever poor soul that will fall for these cheap tactics? If that's how you became a General, I'm appalled. The standards for advancement are cheap, then." She rested her hands on her hips as she spoke. "And the best thing anyone could do is replace that mask of your's with something more useful, like a muzzle."

He arched a brow at her. The needling was a tactic he knew all too well, because it was what he did to anyone who was not Kamacite or Aue. The two of them had their own way of working with his methods, but Wolfeite was someone who was quite used to prodding the knife exactly where he knew it would be the worst.
And now Stillwaterite was giving that back to him.
It was almost poetic. Wolfeite felt the thrill of excitement coursing through him, a feral sort of desire to sink his teeth into her neck and tear her apart. He had always found confidence to be an interesting thing, when it was done right and not dropping into arrogance, and this was no exception.
"How do you think you got here, then?" he asked, and the muzzle comment made his chest heave.
Without warning, he reached out, Wolfeite's claws snatching at Stillwaterite's arms, dragging her forward off balance - and then, ignoring any looks he was getting, disregarding any sort of things she might have been saying, Wolfeite teleported them both away from the arena.
They reappeared seconds later in front of a massive door that jutted up from the dark, purple streaked hallway. Wolfeite kept hold of Stillwaterite's arm, all but yanking her forward as he pushed past the doors and began to stalk down a long, wide hallway draped in more dark purples.
"If you're so certain you are better than me, then let's put this to the test, shall we?"

She was about to answer his question, but instead gasped as he suddenly grabbed her and pulled. The corrupt went forward, but instead of falling into him, or anything else for that matter, the space around them blurred, and they appeared somewhere new. That--- Still found that she couldn't formulate much in the next few moments, as her legs worked to stay under her as she was yanked again. Once she was able to right herself, and was steady, she shot a quick look at their surroundings, and then focused her heated glare on the General. She didn't know where they were, and thus was hesitant to teleport right at the moment. She never liked running low on energy, especially when sorely caught unaware. The corrupt tried to pull her arm out of his iron grasp, but that blasted strength boost Generals received compared to Eternals was in effect. " Let go of me." She demanded. "You have no right to just take me wherever you want." That last part came out as a hiss.
