Though it took her a few days to move past that initial closing off of herself, eventually she managed to put herself back into being a part of the world again. Even went so far as to spend a couple extra days with her sister, one of which was spent hanging out with their grandmother at the bath house for a late mother's day sort of thing.
And in the end, though it was almost an entire month since the day, the golden eyed twenty year old had finally made it back to the home of the woman who had saved her. She didn't know if Bellatrix knew how much that night on the roof had ended up meaning to her, didn't know if she could find the words to tell her really. But maybe the gift and card could better do what she could not.
She'd been spending a lot of time at the woman's house up until mother's day, hanging out in the evenings and just enjoying the presence of Bellatrix and her own daughter. It had been weird at first, but a comfort none the less. And a welcome distraction when her own family couldn't help.
So here she was, gift hidden behind her back with one hand as she knocked on the door, dressed in a cute floral skirt and a soft blue tank top and flip-flops. There was no harm in dressing up a little, right? Hopefully she'd forgive her for not stopping by recently. It had taken her a little longer then she would have liked to find the right gift.
