Kumiko was bored. This was usually a bad state for the young hallowed girl, as it generally meant she would try and find ways to entertain herself. Her tails twitched behind her as she stalked the dormroom halls. If she was lucky, she would find someone she knew who she could talk into doing some... social activities with her. The second best thing would be for her to make a new partner in crime. It was always better to break rules in pairs- you could work to deflect the heat from each other if people started to catch on. Working alone was always a little chancy, so easier to get caught.

Kaya had really had to go to the bathroom. She knew it wasn't okay to skip class. The hybrid was sure that she'd come back to it--but her body had needs. And so out she went, the "key" of the classroom, a well used feather duster, in hand.

The freshling brushed her hands on her skirt as she exited the bathroom. Another nightmare? She paused and looked at the multiple tails. It wasn't abnormal but it was still...interesting. She grinned and waved at the other nightmare. "My name's Kaya, what's yours?"

Class could wait right?

Kumiko turned at the sound of the voice, a large grin appearing on on her face as she saw the other freshling waving at her. This just might be the jackpot. She waved back and skipped a few steps closer to the other girl. "Hello, my name is Kumiko. It is very nice to meet you." She answered in what she hoped was her most friendliest voice. It wouldn't do well to scare her off in her first meeting. First impressions were everything, at least, that's what her father said.

Though... some curiosity nibbled at her. It shouldn't hurt to ask a question or two, right? "Why do you have a feather duster?"

A response! Kaya waved back with the feather duster excitedly, the tag claiming that it was a bathroom pass tinkled loudly as she did so. Shoot, she hoped no one heard that. The hybrid lowered it and beamed at the other freshling. "Kumiko, huh?" There was no doubt in her mind that she might forget it later on. Her memory was so poor.

"My name's Kaya," she rocked back on her heels, clasping her hands behind her back. "It's nice to meet you too!" The distraction from class was nice at least. Even if she and this girl didn't get along at least she got more time out of class. The work could always wait.

"Feather duster?" her lips pursed in question and she looked down. "Oh!" The thing in her hands! Right! She had forgotten about it. "This is a bathroom pass!" She didn't understand why the teacher had it on a feather duster. Why would someone want to steal a regular bathroom pass? Her explanation made no sense. "What are you doing out here?" Was she also going to the bathroom?

Kumiko giggled at the sound that the 'bathroom pass feather duster' made as the other girl waved it around. Adults were just so ridiculous with some of the ways they tried to enforce rules.

"Me?" She smiled with a look of pure innocence- one she had practiced for quite some time. "I'm out of class because I came down with a very sudden illness. Quite sad, just in time for a test too. Terrible, I guess I'll have to make it up later." He smile changed to the more mischievous one that came naturally as she spoke. She punctuated the end of her statement with a fake cough into the bend of her elbow. "So I guess I was heading back to my room. Of course, if something interesting came up between here and there, no one would find it strange if I got distracted, right?"

She leaned forward slightly, watching to see what response the other girl would have. Hopefully Kaya would be someone interesting and wouldn't just go to try and tattle on her. That was always so boring and tedious.

The hybrid's smile widened and they gave the feather duster another swing. "Yeah, it is pretty silly, huh?" They eyed the fake feathers on the end of the stick. "I don't know why someone would steal a bathroom pass." That was always the excuse. They didn't want it stolen.

But why steal it? It was just a piece of paper. It didn't ensure that the student would come back or not.

A frown crossed their face, feet shifting. Well, they didn't like the sound of that too much! "A sudden illness? D-Do you need help to the nurse?" They looked around. Where---was the nurses' office. The more they thought about it, the more they couldn't remember where it could be.

Hm. They'd have to figure that out. Maybe Kumiko knew?

Getting back to class could wait. "I can take you!" Even if it took all period. Actually, they'd preferred that. Their class was boring too. "Even if it's to your room!"

Would people find it strange? They placed a claw on their chin, lips pursed in serious thought. "Yeah, they probably won't." A grin bloomed on their lips quite suddenly. "It's not nice to poke fun at sick people."
