Jacie had just waved goodbye to Kinley and was now heading back to his room. Everyday he said goodbye to his packmate, it hurt him. Even with his friend, he felt alone. He may be their pack leader but.. Was he a good one? Was Kinley happy in his pack? Not to mention, Red was constantly challenging him for Alpha but he had so much to learn or he may have given up his title so that someone else could feel the stress of being Alpha.

As Jacie moved inside his room, he sat on the bay window’s ledge and looked outside. Was… Kinley really going to stay in his pack when they were older? The grimm sighed, touching his claw to the window. He wanted to be free of the academy and have a mom and dad… or at least one. It wasn’t like he was a great student though so who would want him? Jacie sighed again and brought his knees to his chest. He needed to focus more on illusions if he was going to be a master at it. There was absolutely nothing more cool than being able to use illusions to do whatever you wanted! A small smile crossed his face. He couldn’t wait to get into college and maybe by then, Red would have joined his pack and the three of them could stay in an apartment together or something.That’d be ideal. Another smile crossed his face as he considered his future. Maybe he should work harder… No, he was going to work harder! He had to so he could master the illusion art! In fact, he was going to start right now!

The young grimm got up and dug through the books he got from the library till he found the one on illusions. Sitting back down, Jacie opened up the book and began his head start on mastering the art.
