Rain believes that she is a bison and doesn't belong in the pony world. Since her parents were killed by bandits, their wagon left in a pile of cinders and belongings scattered around. She was found by the Bison tribe outside Apploosa. They tried getting her to stay with someone there, but always found her way back to the tribe. In the end they made her a member and she lived and learned their ways. Learning their ways of dance be it for rain, blessing and stuff like that.
At present the elder bison of the tribe 'Gran Bur' sneaks her onto a train bound for PonyVille so she can learn to be a pony instead of being a Bison. Find her place in the world as it were.
