I currently only have enough money to cover food and rent for the rest of the term. I'm almost a week late and want to test for pregnancy but I don't want to dish out 25 bucks (more than a weeks groceries) if it's nothing (which is mostly likely is).
I thought of planned parent hood but apparently they've started charging for pregnancy tests. I can't get a doctors appointment for another two weeks, and even then I'm in the smack middle of finals.
I live in Canada, Newfoundland to be specific. Any one know of another option?

Does your local health department charge for it? Some have testing for free. Well, at least in Ohio.

I'm afraid I don't have any experience or knowledge when it comes to how things work in Canada. I know here in the States, even the dollar stores carry pregnancy tests for $1.

I honestly don't know of any freebies other than the ones you mentioned. That being said, waiting two weeks for an appointment won't kill you. I know not knowing can be a huge ball of slimy worry, but the best thing might just be to make your appointment, try to put it out of your head until then, and focus on your exams.

Look up "crisis pregnancy centers" (The only problem there is you're facing religious and/or pro-life propaganda a lot of the time a few crisis centers got in trouble here in the US for not telling a woman she was pregnant until it was too late so she could not abort).
OR call planned parenthood explain the situation and ask them if they know of any other options. They may be able to steer you there.

I know that in BC, Canada (where I live), pregnancy tests are anywhere from about $10 - $20, sometimes for packs of 2 or 3 though (so like $9 or $10 for one test, or $20 for 2 or 3 tests in one pack).
However, it might be worth considering not having sex if you can't even afford a pregnancy test right now. Or, buy the pregnancy test and get peace of mind, and then do something about birth control.
Aside from pregnancy tests, the only thing I can think of would perhaps be some sort of free/walk-in clinic, and see if they'd test for free.

I went to one of these for my proof of pregnancy papers an they didnt push any particualr option on me. I do think they gave me my free ultrasound so it would be more real for me and I would be less likely to do it.

I know that where I live, in BC, they have youth clinics which accept people anywhere from ages 14 (I think) to 21/22...you can get both pregnancy and STD tested there, as well as get birth control, for free. I went to the one in my town once and that was how I got started on the pill-they recommended one to me based on the medical information I gave them and gave me a three month trial, and said I could come back after the three months to get more if I wanted to. You could look into that. The one here is called Purpose, though I don't know if it's nation-wide or not.

I know that in NC you can go to the Human health center and they do STD checks and preggers tests for free. You might also know them by DSS, Human Services.

I hate to sound gross but you can tell by putting ur fingers into the vigina and you can feel for a little hardness or you can do the clean way, you can press lightly on your lower stomach and move around very carfully and you can try to find a small hard or too mushy area. You can get a cheap pregnancy test at the doller tree or dollar general. Alot of doctors offices do it for free. Mine does

I'd love to see where you got this information. It is extremely unsafe and you run the risk of infection by checking your own cervix (which I assume is what you're trying to tell people to do). I highly suggest not doing what Shantail has advised. Dangerous and best left to the professionals.

Because if air gets into the womb it can be fatal.
