For a while, life was great. Jaewon's siblings were happy, he was happy, they all loved to go out together and party like there wasn't a care in the world.

And then the day came when their mother, humble as always, requested that they come back to the forest to visit. Of course, Taeyang and Daesung made up excuses about schoolwork and a field trip. So in the end, it was Jaewon who went and visited their mother. And, without a prior warning, their grandmother.

If it had just been his mother, everything would have been fine. but grandmother...Oh grandmother. Diappointed in everythign they did, especially their new hobbies. Jaewon's insides churned when she showed him the picture she'd found- online- of him dancing nearly naked on a pole. It was something he never wanted to get out to family, but here he was. And the lecture seemed to drone on for hours, and at some point there was yelling and screaming.

He didn't want to settle down yet, but Grandmother needed to be assured that the family line would continue. A stone would be brought for him, and he was to go and find another Kumiho to imbue with. Afterwards, what he and his siblings did was not to be questioned or interfered with. When Jaewon repeated the request, he simply left out the fact that 'another kumiho' was to be the other parent.

It had been agreed to.

And Jaewon, spiteful in the moment, spared barely a thought of what it might mean towards who he selected to imbue the stone with. In the end, it had been a happy meeting, and one that parted with Jaewon all the happier with his choice. A memento for himself, and one he was sure even his siblings would adore.
