She hadn't been paying any mind to where she ran, too busy glancing over her shoulder, the cat was just concerned with escape from the youma which had been after her. it wasn't until she was sure it was no longer after her, either it had given up or found something better to go after, that she came to slow down and take in what was around her.
"A graveyard..." Lovely...just lovely. This was not a place she normally would go, ever, and yet here she was surrounded by tombstones of all shapes and sizes, and various colors, and she really didn't know where she was in the city. She had, for once, lost her calm and taken off running without thinking of where she was and where her paws were taking her.
Seating herself for a few moments, to calm herself, the Russian blue was looking around with bright green eyes. The area was...nothing but trees and tombstones. Nothing else to tell from, at least nothing close enough anyway. She hadn't just run into the graveyard but she'd run rather far into it.
"At least that youma is gone." Because there was only so much she could do, and it wasn't much. She was, sadly, limited in her capabilities and she didn't want to call for Benitoite to bail her out of trouble. She knew he wouldn't mind but it was a matter of pride for her, and she had no time to pull out her communications device and use it.

Paris might not have been a senshi, but he was aware that cats were important. In fact, he was pretty sure they ranked high up on the importance scale as well, one didn't see a magical cat every day and they certainly didn't talk in every iteration. Cats were cats after all. So when a cat that had a feeling that he likened to those powered, Paris assumed this cat was one of those magic cats, and thus, he should probably make sure it didn't need his help. Or that it was okay. Which was hard to guess given it had just run into the grave yard he was occupying in an attempt to pretend he was out on patrol and not you know, avoiding responsibilities. Creeping out from behind a tomb, Paris watched the cat for a moment and figuring he should probably say hello- "Hello." He said hello.

She should have felt the knight, and she had but she really had been ignoring the aura of power, as they were within the graveyard as well. When she heard their voice she jumped, just a bit, she had heard them closing in but she had not expected them to speak up.
Turning her heard towards them she tilted her head before standing, tail high up in the air behind her. "Good evening little knight. Is there anything I can help you with?" It was best, in her opinion, to be nice to the other side. Perhaps she could, eventually, lure one to her side and claim them as one of her own children.
Katya would, forever, consider the corrupted senshi and agents in Benitoite's team to be her children. She had long ago had the ability to have kittens taken from her and so these children of chaos were a replacement, whether they knew it or not. They would forever be her little kittens, though none of them were as little as she was when in cat form.
"If I can help you....don't hesitate to ask."

When the cat jumped, Paris jumped, not expecting to have spooked her as he did. Now he just felt bad. "Sorry. I didn't mean to sneak up on you." Crouching down to be better at eye level, (as it was, it probably was painful for the cats to have to look up at everything all the time), Paris held out a hand. Maybe they wanted to sniff like normal cats? Shake...paws? He didn't know. He wasn't a senshi after all. "I just noticed you and well... I don't talk to cats much. I mean, talking cats not you know, normal cats. But people talk to them too they just can't talk back oh sorry...." He trailed off. "...I'm rambling aren't I?" "I'm Paris by the way. I just.. wanted to say hello I guess."

"It's alright. I should have sensed or at least heard you. I was a bit distracted." As one could imagine. She had just had a good run, long as it was, in order to escape a youma. Honestly she didn't get why they didn't like her, despite serving chaos, it was the same sadly for corrupted senshi. they never got any love from youma, just a general dislike or hate and hunger - lots of hunger.
Reaching out with one paw she rested it on his hand before moving closer to him. "You are but I believe I understand and it's alright. You don't talk to my kind often, even less those who serve chaos I"m sure." She spoke while giving a single nod of her head.
"Katya, it's a pleasure to meet you as well. Tell me...what brings you to this place? It is rather boring...." Was he trying to not patrol or was there some reason to be in this part of the city. It was rather dull and she sensed nothing around them...nothing to do.

The truth was, Paris hardly talked to anyone at all. Cats just less than others. After all, what point was there to seek out a cat when you had a code, (even if his code was stupid and he didn't want to talk to it like...ever.). "I-" She did have a point. He was rather odd being in a graveyard of course. But how did you explain that it was peaceful, that it was nice. No one around meant no one to bother, no one to watch to make sure they'd not be attacked. No one to worry about saving and no youma to be trying to kill. "Well..." How did you explain you were in a graveyard to avoid doing your job? "I like it. It reminds me of my wonder." Which was true. It was nice. And it did remind him of his wonder. Abet, in a creepy way. It lacked the poison tunnels though. He was glad it lacked in the poison air. "It's a nice place to come and think. No one can bother me here. What about you? I mean, cats don't really have a reason to visit dead people."

"Oh? What is your wonder? if a graveyard reminds you of it..." She spoke gently, though she was curious. She didn't know much about knights. She knew what her General knew and not a bit more, she hadn't interacted with knights before. She only knew what he knew because Benitoite told her. Thankfully the one she stayed with, by her choice, had been around a long time and knew a lot. She couldn't imagine being tied to, or choosing, someone who knew next to nothing...or less than her General did.
"No, that we don't. The dead do nothing for us. There is nothing to upgrade and no talking and teaching to be had either. I was running from a youma. I may serve chaos but we are not liked by youma. Us and the corrupted senshi we care for as disliked by the youma who also serve chaos. I believe it goes back to the original war....the senshi were all originally serving the other side...and the youma remember somehow..." At least that was what Benitoite thought and it would make sense. Somewhere in there the mind, or the body, remembered and knew what they had once been. But that also, without her saying it, meant she had once served order...and she knew she had. She couldn't remember it but she did know it.
It wasn't something she ever spoke about, she disliked this fact, she didn't even like remembering the time before she was awakened...and that she did remember...somehow.

Paris frowned, going a bit pale as well. “It’s, “ he hesitated, “catacombs. My wonder is a grave for those who passed. It’s made from their bones and in underground. Not bad just very.. lonely I guess.” He didn’t want to mention how it was also half filled with toxic gasses but that was for another time. Maybe, if there was another time. He didn’t like to dwell too much on his wonder, it was old and full of sadness and melancholy. Perhaps just so, what memories he had were somber ones, filled with rituals and paltry blessings over bodies that would be buried, making the foundations for a city of corpses. Reaching out, he stroked Katya’s fur, smiling despite his apprehension. “Sorry, you had to deal with a youma. If it folloed you here well, I know you’re chaos and all, but I’d rather you not die.” He muttered under his breath, “I’d rather no one die if I’m being honest.” He was curious though. “I thought Youma were monsters you made? Are they really from that long ago?” He had to admit, “If they are… it must really be terrible to live that long only to die when we hit them with a baseball bat or something.”

"That does sound lonely. I would think all wonders and planets would be lonely though, I hear there is no life on any of the senshi's planets which means no life at the knights wonders either. A very lonely thing indeed." Though it wasn't like knights or senshi could, or did, live up there anyway so they didn't have to deal with being the only person in an area. If they could live up there, and chose to, she was sure the lack of people would get to them.
Smiling, purring, at his words she nudged his hand gently with her head. "You are a kind one...aren't you. Not meant for this war like some." Not wanting for others to die...but did he fight - would he fight? He didn't seem the sort at all.
"Some ar...some are new. They were all once people as far as I'm aware. It is what happens when a starseed shatters inside it's host. It turns them into a youma." Reaching up he licked at his hand, this one was too kind for this war. She did hope it wouldn't twist him like it did to some. Maybe she could find a way to keep him....somehow...maybe.
"You don't kill them though...they turn to dust and regenerate...and go back out. I don't know how long regeneration takes...maybe it varies. But I believe only a royal can honestly kill a youma - where they won't regenerate. But some are very old...ancient. This is as far as I've learned anyway. There could be other things I don;t know, other ways to make them, and they might not all have once been people. But I'm unaware of anything else about them." How would this poor boy take to learning this? Licking and nosing at his fingers, in the hopes to make up for the information she'd just dumped into his lap, she felt bad for him....but hey - at least he'd never actually killed a youma. That was good...right?

Paris shrugged. his wonder was a place of death, he hardly wanted living things there. It would have made it even creepier if he was honest with himself. "I don't... dislike my wonder. But it's not for the living. To live on at any rate. The death do not care for that of the living. Such places are for our comfort, not their own." The cemetery was an example of this. The dead would not rise, and no real use of the land. Only their family and kin paid and maintained such. "Thank you though. I just get by. It's not.. pleasant to fight or hurt others. This war is rather needless." Smiling as she gave his hand attention he returned it in kind in the form of light scratches to behind her ears. "I didn't know about the youma though. Makes sense they'd come back. Still... can't imagine it's kind. To die then be revived over and over."

"No, I doubt it is good for them. Though I do wonder what they feel or think of it...if they feel or think anything. Some are rather inelegant but others...not so much." Sticking her little pert nose up into the air. Some were not much more than slithering little shadows with glowing eyes. They didn't seem capable of much more than feeding and perhaps slithering to where they were told.
"Perhaps for those smarter ones it makes them more dangerous...more hateful of your side. I wouldn't know, I'm not about to try and ask one." She wasn't even sure where to find those smarter, higher up, youma. She could ask her General but it was still a risk on her life, even if he could control such a youma and get them to be mindful and not kill her. "My General had a youma...one that was bonded to him, as many officers have such a youma, his had once been an officer. I believe had he died he would have felt it and known...and it would have made him more angry with your side, especially whoever had killed him. For those older, more ancient, of youma I don't know...even for the smarter ones." The newer ones...like Bazzite...they surely felt and knew what was happening. But what did they think of it...what did they feel.
"I think emotions are dead to them...at least most. Like an animal but able to speak and think. But they take orders and don't do much more than what they are told and what an animal does to live and survive. I think that's all they are as youma." All they were left as...a shell of what they'd once been. Something twisted and disfigured...a lost humanity and in it's place...the animal side all humans had but didn't run on...because they were human. As a youma that was all there was left, though maybe it was amplified.
"And no...you're wonder is not for the living...like negaspace is not made for a guardian cat...corrupted or not. But we live with what we have. I like the side I serve and those around me. What about you though? Do you like you're wonder...do you want to remain as you are?"

Being among the negaverse sounded complicated. But then, if he really explained knights, it was just as complicated if not more so. The youma though- it wasn't just sad, it was tragic and twisted and so... wrong. Paris knew that in war, morals got blurred but to go so far as to revive the dead, force them to do the same thing over and over- no wonder the youma were mad. Any being would be mad if that was their fate. Her question had him hesitate. Did he like his wonder? "I... guess?" It was not a good answer. "I like the way it lights up with the scones, the shadows that get cast from the structures- its beautiful in this sort of... macabre way that shouldn't exist yet it does. Then there is the lake- its black, the water itself i mean, It's black from carbon and yet if you drink it, it tastes like.. like warm milk. Unreal- yet it is. And the remains- there are things that lived their once, massive and terrifying but now are just bones. It's almost serene to look at them- how they make these natural monuments to themselves." He sighed, because no matter the otherworldly beauty, it wasn't good. It wasn't bad, but most certainly not good. "But it's not good you know? There is something about it that just... should be. As for being me. I mean, Paris. I.... question that a lot to be honest."

"There is a beauty in dark things...just as there can be in many things. It sounds like something worth viewing - that someone needs to see it to know it is real." That it existed. Because if he didn't see it than who would and who would know it was real and possible? "Black water...that tastes like milk. That is rather interesting and impossible sounding. I believe it, magic is behind many things, but this is a surprise still." A very surprising thing but not in a bad way. She was curious and honestly wouldn't mind seeing this wonder, and trying this black water he spoke of.
As the other continued to talk she tilted her little head a bit. "I find your description interesting...intriguing in fact. I wish I could see it myself. Tell me...what do you question...? What questions do you have? I may know some answers for you, or have some information. It is good to question - to wonder. Take a seat and let us talk tonight." Motioning with a paw to the headstones. he could find a seat on one of them surely."
