Emergency Response Team

Among the senshi and knights, there are those who are best suited to defending and healing. And among the Light side, some of those have banded together to create a group called the 'ERT', the Emergency Response Team. They are a group that formed to help not only minimize injuries caused during battle, but also to help treat injuries gained in battle...and to transport fellow Powereds to the hospital, CC, or home if need be. A group that has chosen to work beyond the boundaries of courts and alliances, their goal is to make sure everyone survives, whether they like you or not.


Structure of Membership

Although started by Hyakutake, the ERT has no 'formal' leadership. Decisions causing change within the group will be made via majority vote, and 'leadership' in large-scale battles falls to the senior-most ERT member PRESENT at that battle. In the latter case, it is simply for ease of co-ordination with the offensive, and to prevent delays in help getting to those who need it.

There are two main classes of membership; CC Support and Field Response.

CC Support
This 'class' fall into two groups: technical and medical.

The technical group are those who run dispatch. They man the lines, and make sure ERT members are sent where they're needed.

The medical group are civilians, guardians, and bastions who are best kept away from combat that have experience in first aid or medical professions. They stay at CC, and patch up those returning to CC or are sent out with senshi and knights that can protect them to those who need first aid before they can be moved.

Field Response
These are the groups that, when on duty, are either PART of a patrol group or are ready to respond to calls for aid. They consist of 3-4 knights and senshi, with up to 2 healing and 2 defensive. They'll occasionally contain 1-3 others, such as a Guardian of a more martial bent helping to protect a healer or a combat-capable Bastion with medical experience.

Large-scale Battles
In large-scale battles, such as those experienced at the Johnston Center in August of 2020 and Veteran's Park in October of 2020, the Field Response teams' first prioity is setting up a 'fall back point'. This point will be defended from youma and 'Dark-aligned' Powereds, and will provide a place for their allies to retreat to if needed. Once the area is secured, groups are sent out as needed to provide healing, defensive aid, and to bring those who need off the battle field back to the fall back point.

Important Notes

Membership is NOT compulsory. If you have a senshi, knight, bastion, civilian, or guardian on the Light side that fits the bill and you want them to join, AWESOME. If not, that's cool, too! The ERT isn't everyone's cup of OOC or IC tea!
Court ties are acknowledged. Hyakutake herself acknowledges she will always be a little more protective of her court than those outside her court. However, she WILL ask, ICly, that members try to put those who need help the MOST above court ties if need be. They're in this to help people. Not to play favorites. Everyone has someone that needs them, that they need to stick around for, even if that someone hasn't been met yet. OOCly, this means that while plots can revolve around a conflict of interest, please don't join the group and ignore this, nor claim that 'Hyakutake never said anything'. If the member's joining wasn't RPed out, it is to be ASSUMED that she said something about it.
