User ImageDecay of most organic matter made an excellent environment for fungi, specifically the bio-luminescent Fungi that grew native to these caves Mordrem carefully tended. There wasn't anyone in the graveyard right now at least no one he could see. Mordrem grumbled. Not like it mattered anyway. Both Nan and Tah alike were under-appreciative of his rather exquisite work if he might say so himself. Most of the tribe often forgot he existed at all, taking the fact the light from the fungi he grew had always simply been there. Mordrem scoffed a little as the carefully checked patches he suspected might have fungi growing. He was always very careful in picking new growth to add to his crop. Mordrem only wanted the best and brightest, but wild was a bit harder to find.

then he found a patch of growth on the lower half of a rotting patch of wood the tah carefully inspected it before grumbling in disappointment. It wasn't too healthy and the wood had almost dried out causing the fungi not to be too bright. It could be saved however, he wasn't sure if it would be worth it with this batch, it didn't seem to bright.

Despite the city being made mostly of stone, there was some left over wood in places from construction or thrown away from abandoned props, if it was untreated it made for excellent spore sewing; along with the fact the entire cave system was relatively more humid in some areas than others. One just had to know where to look. Mordrem continued to ponder before another moment grumbling again.

"You're not suppose to be here." Rang from a voice in a delightful sing-song voice, which came from the nearby equipment shack. that leaned carefully against the neglected grave yard fence, sat a dark colored nan. Though her voice delightfully rang out to the Tah nearby, her attention remained at the craft she worked at with her paws.

"Well, I at least didn't invite you." She hummed pleasantly, as her ruby speckled tail flicked and twitched thoughtfully. Her attention turned at a glance to give the Tah a smile as her magical thoughts sew a few more feathers to the top of the mask she worked on.

Since her Father had gone missing, Dirge felt it was her job to keep the family 'buiness' running till his return. None of her other siblings or mother seemed to be around, and she didn't want her family to displease their Dark Lord. Dirge was around still, and someone had to keep those lost protected and content. Though, that wasn't too hard as of late....The Dark Lord's rage had been kept at bay, and no woven had been lost as of late...

So for now, the dilagent Dirge worked to make the graveside a more....content and looked after place. Though she had still failed to locate her father's shove and lantern....

The tah was almost startled, almost upon hearing a Nan speak. How could he have missed her? "No you didn't" he replied simply. Modrem began to carefully lift some of the rotting wood examining it carefully. Mordrem scoffed he didn't need an invite to the graveyard. He was just looking for fungi. He was surprised at all another soul was here. The graveyard was usually deserted. She was awfully cheery for a Nan. Mordrem though often was in a better mood when no one else was around. He took note of her work, she must be the current grave keeper.

"You are not the only one who has a job to do." the Tah spoke with a deep rumbling voice. Though just his normal voice one might accidentally mistake it for something more intimidating. Mordrem didn't really care though what others thought of him; he only cared about his work. Mordrem wasn't much on idle chatter either though he kept and ear on Dirge.

"Well." The word left Dirge sharply in a huff as she turned her attention back to the mask she worked on. Keeping an ear on the intruder, Dirge turned her head to his second set of words.

"Oh, so what is it that you do, that makes it so important for you to be here." The Nan inquired not moving from her spot of or work. If it was such an important job, inspecting wood-then Lord Gaberial would want him to be able to go where ever he wanted. If that was the case. It's not that she was the offical acting grave digger, but someone had to step up to the task.

Dark tail, twitched whimsically behind her as she still continued to work on the mask in her paws.

"I keep the lights going so balam of other species can see." Mordrem grumbled as he revealed a soft glowing fungi at the bottom of the stack of damp wood. He glanced up fpr a moment giving the nan his attention. He generally didn't like talking to others since they never appreciated his delicate work. He noted the mask she was working in. New gravekeeper she must ve, the fact the graves hadn't deteriorated and were very well cared for showed she cared quite a bit about her job as well.

Thankless jobs they were but jobs to be proud of none the less.

Dirge's ears twitched with intrige as the Tah before her spoke of his job. Oh, my! That is an important job, she always wondered how the mushrooms had gotten there, and were so neatly and mindfully placed. It was enough to have her slip off her perch.

"Oh so you are the one that does that!" Dirge exclaimed softly in awe. Tail shifted and twitched as the Mask was set down on the fench where she was working. Slipping down from it, she carefully trotted over to where the Mashroom searcher worked.

"I had always wondered about those kindly lit paths, and how they came to be-honestly thought the Weaver might have done it." She went on to mention as she carefully pawed her way over to the mushroom picker. Stopping in front of him. Her ears perked as he flipped over the damp wood and revailed a mushroom from it's hidding place.

"Oh -wood- you look at that." Dirge spoke with a grin as she lowered her head to look at the glowing shroom. How curious. Her tail shifted about, and her paw raised to loom and poke over the top of the button.

"I guess I should say 'thank you',..." The nan spoke looking up from the glow to the Tah infront of her. But then again....it was her grave yard....

"or rather 'your welcome'." She smirked.
