Ah, now this was the sort of patrolling that Namaka preferred, no one out who could misinterpret her wandering about and the night so still that she could breathe. Granted, it was also raining a little, but that was what the raincape she'd brought along from home was for.

And thanks tot he lateness of the hour and the rain, she had the shopping district to herself. Which meant she could admire the things behind the darkened windows. Which was exactly what she was doing. Pausing a moment to stare at a sun dress and mentally calculate her allowance.

"Too bad I don't know if there're any mirrors in there or where they are," she muttered to herself. It wasn't actually being bad if she only wanted to try something on without having to deal with people, right?

Oh well. As she walked on, she paused here and there to peek at windows, not minding just how wet she was getting.

Some time had passed since she'd last interacted with the Dark Mirror senshi baring the face of a dearly departed old friend. When she caught the feel of an aura that felt like cool shade as opposed to oppressive darkness she followed it, wondering if there was anything at all to the vague sense of familiarity about it.

Corvus was met with a pleasant enough surprise to find out that she was getting better at tracking auras-- or maybe it was simply that she was getting better at paying attention to them now that her focus was realigned. She approached slowly, giving the young woman a chance to feel her presence as well. Transcendence had not made her aura go brighter, at the very least, only the soft swirl of gentle markings on her skin.

"Good evening. I wasn't sure I would see you again."

There was something odd about the Order aura that was approaching. Namaka tried to put her finger on it, but could only conclude, somehow, that is was simply more. Therefore, it was something new and possibly worrisome.

"Good evening. I wasn't sure I would see you again."

Eyes widening, Namaka turned. She knew that voice and it was the one Order senshi she'd actually been wanting to see again. Turning with a shy smile on her face, the Dark Mirror's face went slack with surprise at what she saw. Was this why Corvus' aura had felt slightly odd?

"The hair is very cute, but why are you, uh... glowing? How are you glowing? Is this a senshi thing or a you thing?"

Curiosity and wonder made her move forward a little, one hand reaching out to tentatively touch a glowing swirl on the older senshi's arm.

"It is an Order thing-- At least it is as far as I am aware. We call it Transcendence." Corvus reached up, tucking a curl that had fallen free from the pile of hair atop her head back behind her ear. "There... Doesn't seem to be as much information on it as people would like, but I'm starting to think it might be contagious." Corvus spoke with soft laughter, traces of amusement lighting her otherwise storm-colored eyes.

The Senshi of Vengeance remained still as Namaka reached out to her, letting the young woman trace one of the markings on her skin. It felt no different, gave off no special warmth. It seemed like a mere decoration and likely would until an agent of Chaos went for her starseed again-- she hoped. She had no desire to test it out any time soon.

"I trust you've been well?"

Transcendance? Namaka could feel no difference between Corvus' normal skin and the glowing marks. And this was a thing that could happen to White Moon folk, but they didn't know anything about it? Insane.

"Seems like something you folks should know more about," Namaka stated solemnly. "I mean... your tattoos are glowing. If I had glowing tattoos, my parents would be screamin' for the hospital to make sure I wasn't irradiated or something."

The faint twinkle of amusement within the other senshi's eyes was comforting and Namaka sighed, wondering how to answer Corvus' question. She never really knew how to answer all the possible variations of 'how you been?'

"I... s-suppose I have? I mean, school is school and my parents are helping me look for any s-scholarships that involve drumming," Namaka sighed again and shrugged. "But that's probably not how you meant, is it? Some crazy waterlily girl attacked me the other night. I didn't hurt anyone, not really. I was doin' what I did to stop him from hurting people."

Even as she spoke, a note of confused belligerence crept into the girl's voice. She had been helping. Or trying to help anyway. It wasn't fair to be slandered and attacked just because she wasn't wearing white!

"Believe it or not, there are quite a few things that we folks have little to know information on. It doesn't mean that we aren't trying to learn more, that we aren't growing our pool of information daily, but it does put us at a bit of a disadvantage." Corvus reached up to lightly take hold of Namaka's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze before releasing it.

"The marks aren't present in my civilian life, otherwise you're right. They probably would draw too much attention and raise question. I also, fortunately, don't live with my family anymore..." It had been too risky to stay at home past graduation from Crystal. She had tried, but the war had gotten worse and there were things she wouldn't have been able to hide forever.

Her brow furrowed as Namaka's tone shifted between talking about her life on the outside and talking about her life as a Senshi of the Dark Mirror court. "Hold up. Rewind... Who were you trying to stop from hurting people?"

For the briefest of moments as Corvus gave her hand a friendly squeeze before letting go, Namaka froze and swallowed down a burst of panic. Then, she took a deep breath and forced her nerves to steady. Corvus wasn't that much older than her. She didn't have to be afraid.

The younger girl was momentarily lost in her thoughts before Corvus' question brought her crashing back to the present. Confusion flickering across her face, Namaka began to explain in a halting voice.

"This... this creepy guy. I-I see him in the park all the time when I p-patrol. He started following people a few weeks ago. And the o-other night he was following a girl and I... I."

Namaka paused, thinking over the events prior to that crazy senshi accusing her of being evil. Trying to figure out how to explain all her thought processes to someone that she was a little afraid of, but also respected.

"I was afraid he was going to hurt her. Grown up men shouldn't be following teenage girls through a dark park. Especially creepy men who watch and stare before they start followin'!" Namaka bit the words out, suddenly defiant. "I didn't hurt him, just took enough energy that he couldn't keep following her. I'm not good at fighting and I couldn't physically attack him. But I stopped him without hurting him or causing a fuss."

It broke her heart that this young woman with a familiar face seemed so anxious that she was afraid to tell her of what had happened; that she was so concerned that something ill might come of being honest. Breeding fear was not how they could convince any of those touched or tainted by Chaos to come back to their side. She couldn't ever hope to stand for what she believed in if the meek were too afraid to come towards her.

"You did what I would have done, were I in your shoes. Our duties are not only to ourselves, and to the ideals that we stand to uphold. They are also to our city and those living in it. We have the power to protect and we should be using it for that." There was always that vague hope that they might be able to coexist if they could all just agree on that... But protecting wasn't enough for the Negaverse. Chaos couldn't just protect, it had to consume.

"You weren't hurt, were you? And the girl? Was she alright?"

Blinking as if the thought were an alien one, Namaka silently took stock of the fight and then shook her head quickly.

"No, I wasn't hurt. Maybe a couple bruises and scrapes on both sides."

Had Waterlily Girl hurt her knee? It seemed like something of the sort had happened.

"I think she might've hurt her knee when I tripped her...?"

And here was where she was likely going to be lectured for fighting this woman's spiritual kin. Scrunching in on herself, she waited for the censure that was sure to come.

Her lips pressed together as she listened, watching the expression shift on the young woman's face. Her heart ached as Namaka withdrew again, seeming to be waiting for her to do what... Attack her?

Corvus shook her head slowly, dismissing the thought and the vague irritation that came along with it. "For what it's worth, I'm glad that you're alright-- and that you were looking out for that young woman. We have the potential to do a lot of good with the abilities that we're awakened with. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding out how."

There was an odd lack of yelling. Instead, Corvus looked... sorry? Sad? Namaka was having trouble parsing exactly what the older senshi's expression meant. Still, she wasn't being yelled at or lectured. Instead, the things Corvus was saying sounded more like just... sisterly advice.

Sighing a little, Namaka nodded and stood awkwardly for a moment, trying to figure out what to do with her fidgeting hands.

"Wish you could convince some of the others on that one," she settled for muttering as she shoved her hands under her arms. "It'd be nice if people just stopped assumin'. Though I guess sometimes it's safer to assume, but I don't have to like it!"

A little timer in her head was starting to go off. She only had so much time before her nerves and pent up worries would start to become more then she could handle. It was time to go home and have a good cry into her pillow.

Feeling greatly daring and more than a little frightened, she reached out to give Corvus a quick, barely-there hug before pulling back as if she'd been burned and smiling through two tiny trickles of tears. Oh yeah, she'd definitely hit her capacity for peopling.

"I... I have to go!" she gasped out even as she turned and bolted. "Thank you! I'll think about what you said, I promise!"
