Takes place prior to the tourney... General Tourmaline stood in the training hall waiting for her guests to arrive. There were three senshi currently under her observation and care; Sailor Cursa, Senshi of Ostriches, Sailor Lalande, Senshi of Vultures and Sailor Mab, Senshi of Spindles. While she'd not bothered with engraved invitations, she had sent each of them a memo to their personal communication devices letting them know when she would be summoning them. Unlike her officers, the senshi had been given advanced notice. Unlike her officers, their first bout of training wouldn't involve the word survive. An additional invitation had gone out to Sailor Aue-- more of a personal request, really. While Tourmaline wanted nothing more than to introduce her flock to Sailor Dia, she wanted to ensure that each of the would conduct themselves properly first. Aue made a wonderful enforcer, was a perfect example of what Senshi of the Negaverse should be when it came to using his abilities to compliment a battle situation, and had also been instructed to bring a First Aide Kit. Just in case. --------------- "Did she say what she wanted us all down here for?" Cursa murmured while staying close to Lalande's side. Teleporting down to the Negaverse via a summons was still unpleasant. She assumed it would get better, maybe, once they were able to do it on their own, but... The halls felt cold and something about them made her skin crawl. Lala had been at this longer than she had been, though, and he seemed so confident about it. There was no reason why she couldn't have that confidence too. She had to have it, honestly, because General Tourmaline had already stated that she had expectations for her. She couldn't just rest on her laurels-- not when her performance reflected on Lalande personally vouching for her too. "Have you met Sailor Mab before? What about Sailor Aue?"

"My guess is she wants us for either inspection or training." While they walked down the hallways he was working on braiding his hair. He had no idea who's bright idea it was to give all of the senshi in the Negaverse ungodly long hair. Cursa at least got off easy while he on the other hand had a mass of red waves that just got everywhere. He was at least getting better at putting it up somehow so he didn't get tangled up in it. Sometimes he could leave it down but when Tourma wanted them, officially, it had to go up. "I know Aue, he's the one that found me and brought me to Tourmaline. He's a hardass but he's a damn good senshi." He respected the other Senshi and looked up to him in a way. "Mab ... haven't met him. I hear enough about him from Nitratine and Cornetite but haven't met him yet."

Being summoned wasn't the least pleasant thing that had ever happened to Shea - actually, it didn't even register on his Top Ten list - but it definitely clocked as something he would have preferred to avoid if at all possible.
Still, when one's General called, one answered the goddamn summons.
Mab appeared in Negaspace, blinking at the low light and also the pair of senshi already heading further into the training space he assumed they'd be occupying. Red was braiding his hair for some reason, and legs was all but clinging to his side. Fascinating. "Helloooooo~ Fred and Ginger! Hold up~" Confident strides made heels click solidly against the hard stone of Negaspace, the sound ringing out echos throughout the hall and into the training space into which they were headed.
"So. Hi. I'm Mab. Charmed, I'm sure."
----
Tourmaline's first 'invitation' had been responded to with a curt 'hell no'.
The second and third received similarly crude responses until beer was offered, at which point the Finn capitulated and agreed. It was a personal request he had fully intended to grant, with his refusals a mere formality necessitated by his taciturn Finnish nature.
And as Aue was such a paragon of Corrupt Senshi values, he was already waiting for the new corrupt recruits in the training space with Tourmaline well in advance of the General having summoned her flock. "Noisy." Voices could be heard approaching, two - then three. Lalande was known to Aue, but the other two he'd only heard about from Tourmaline and Tiberius. Cursa of Ostriches and Mab of Spindles. Feminine senshi, aggressive magic. One with a self-buff, one with an actual attack, if the s**t-cat was to be believed.
Aue crossed his arms over his chest, expression schooled from annoyance to boredom. "I will feed them to the beast if they are stupid." Wasgo would feast on any of the trio if they couldn't hack it by his standards; Metallia had no need for more garbage in her army, she had enough of that already clogging up the ranks.
They will not waste our time, I will make sure of this...

"Ideally it won't come down to that." Her response was low, for Aue's ears only. If they were useless they would become youma. If they were too stupid to become youma their starsds would provide wonderful boosts of energy for either Wasgo or Pet, certainly. One way or another their worth would shine through, she would see to it. When the three assembled she cleared her throat, calling for their attention. She had high expectations for each and every one of them-- as she did for all of her recruits, honestly, but more so for the senshi because she knew what they were capable of. Each one of them contained a force to be reckoned with, had access to magic that she hoped to help each of them harness to the best of their abilities. "Thank you for joining us here today." She made it seem as if they'd had a choice, as though she hadn't summoned them away from their civilian lives. Warning them ahead of time counted for something, did it not? "We won't be going around and making individual introductions. I trust that in learning to work together each of you will get to know each other better individually. Lalande, you are already familiar with Aue but Cursa, Mab... Remember him. He outranks you and his commands are to be followed as though they are my own, understood?" Whether or not they understood was also not her concern currently. If they didn't now they would soon, either she or Aue would see to that. "The purpose of this training session is to give each of you a chance to use your magic in a safe place. It is my understanding that senshi aligned with Order are, in general, a disorganized group of misfits who blunder through things. That is not our way. That is not how we learn, and it will not be how you learn." Tourmaline stood tall as she spoke, remaining still in the center of the training ring despite any temptation she might have had to pace back and forth in front of the trio as she addressed them. She didn't. There was no need for the distraction of movement when she needed them to listen. "It is important to me as your superior officer to know what each of you is capable of. It will make assigning you tasks easier and suggesting partnerships more efficient. The magic that you harness is a great asset to you and to your team.... Aue, I'll let you take things from here." Prior to the arrival of the trio Tourmaline had discussed her expectations with the Senshi of Lemons. He knew what she wanted each of the corrupt senshi to do as well as why she'd requested he bring along a first aide kit. ------ Fred and Ginger! Hold up~ Cursa was tempted to keep walking on ahead, if only because they all had somewhere they were supposed to be, but she didn't. She glanced over her shoulder, appreciating the reference and that the senshi-- Mab, she assumed-- knew a dancer when they saw one. Cursa waited only long enough for Mab to catch up with the two of them before carrying on towards the ring. "Cursa. Enchanged, actually." Any further conversation was cut off as the General clad in pink and charcoal cleared her throat, drawing the attention of the gaggle to her. The pep talk wasn't entirely unexpected. It was good to know that Tourmaline hadn't summoned them to bump elbows and socialize. All things considered, she was busy enough in the outside world that if they weren't here to be productive she wanted an excuse to get out anyways. Falling in between Lalande and Mab, Cursa waited for Aue's further instruction.

Aue stood before the trio of recruits, expression as hard as any hardened Master Sergeant from a Hollywood war movie. He had already cut his hair short, docking the length his transformation had given to it so that there would be no additional hindrance in battle - these three would also learn to do the same. Tame it or cut it. The hard reality was that even braided back, it was a liability: such long hair was just a means for your enemy to hold you, to strangle you. "Notice my hair. It is short. Notice Lalande's hair. It is put up. Corrupt hair growth is a liability. You will always either cut your hair after transformation, or put it up to make the chances of an opponent using it against you diminish."
He wasted no time in greetings, nor in softening any part of this. There was no point when the stakes were literally their lives.
"I am here to give you basic combat skills. To appraise your magic. Not to coddle." Aue lifted one end of his sash, gesturing at it, "We are a military operation, but our uniforms are ridiculous and offer enemies many ways to exert control. Remove them in serious battle to give yourself an edge. Take advantage of other's stupidity in not doing so."
"You will, from now on, always have an emergency kit in your subspace containing a starseed, two MREs or protein bars, bottled water, waterproof matches, duct tape, and a survival knife. This is not for question. We are at war, behave like it." Turning his back on the trio, the super senshi of lemons glowered into the distance; there was a lot he was going over rapidly - could they keep up? They were Tourmaline's -- They better. He could see the one, Mab, bristling at some of what he was saying - but as long as she was not insubordinate Aue didn't care if she bristled a thousand times over, at every word from his mouth. Capitulation did not require camaraderie.
Turning toward the trio once more, he focused on Cursa for a moment. "I will have you come at me, one at a time. Cast your magic to see what it is like. You must understand what your magic does to use it effectively. I will also show you that being attacked is not the end of the world, and that many castings have effects that can be mitigated if you don't panic." They would not enjoy having his magic cast upon them en masse, it would suck greatly - but it was the best way to get a feel for being attacked while also having the ability to ease the burning fairly quickly just by knowing a little about chemistry. Basics to stop acids. Or just flush with water.

Okay. Aue was hot. Mab could admit that, but the man was also a giant a*****e. From the minute he opened his beautiful mouth and that accent happened...his words were like being flayed alive. What a ******** monster.
I have known rocks with gentler personalities. She blinked a bit at the militaristic run down, horrified at having to cut her hair every. damn. time. but the alternative was being bad-touch choked by some goody-two-shoes in white by her own pony tail? No thanks, to the dogs with that.
Mab wanted to say something to beefcake badittude, but instead she kept her mouth shut - for once in her life - and tried to make her CO proud. Wait, was this ******** gonna expect them to...volunteer? No way sweetheart, not Mab.Grymoire So sorry! I got stupid and forgot it was my turn ;w; Skye Starrfyre see above statement /wrist
