Stillwaterite strolled out of the alleyway, slipping a few starseeds into her coat pocket with a satisfied hum. The trash she left in the alleyway behind her had started trailing her as Knot while she was meandering the city, and well. That needed to be taken care of, and it had been.
The corrupt eternal stopped out on the sidewalk under a streetlight in the late night air, as she sensed an Order signature nearby. The hand left her coat pocket to instead rest on her hip as she waited, turning in the direction of it. She didn’t care to squabble with Order if she could help it, but sometimes they didn’t give her a choice. She’d wait though, to see if the signature wanted to come visit her or not. It was a level below her, so she wasn’t worried in the slightest.
---------
Sergei’s night of powering up had come. The schedule he had worked out with his sister allowed him to rest and still maximize the time they spent looking for the new form of the ship senshi. As the squire, with his ring now, he could optimally exchange information with other knights and senshi’s which was so helpful.
He was smarter with this life now, that Olga wasn’t there to harass him about doing it. He hated that he avoided it because of her, and now was doing it because of her.
The eternal signature though caught his attention and he headed over to it, dropping in on a senshi with a long coat.
“Nega agent.” He stared at her, something tingling at the back of his neck. “Return those vhat stole.”
----------
She resisted the urge to sigh as the signature did indeed make a beeline for her. Briefly, she wondered if she’d get a hero speech. Pyrophanite had warned her about those, and it had been rather amusing when they did start happening. As the squire appeared in her sights though, she felt that aggravating feeling again. The one that came and went and buzzed like an annoying insect. Like a memory she was supposed to know that danced on the edge of her mind, and always just out of her reach. Surely she wouldn’t have forgotten this handsome man though, with the strong and thick build and the accent?
He was very distinctive. Surely, if she did know him, she wouldn’t have forgotten?
Regardless, none of the internal struggle showed on her face or posture, and her eyes lidded as she smiled at the knight, eyeing him from head to toe discerningly. “Hey there.” She greeted. “I’ll give you the quick rundown of events. I was minding my own business in my unpowered form when the trash made me their business. So if it wasn’t me walking out of that alleyway, it would be them, and I’m sure you can imagine what trash would do with a lone female in an alleyway.”
-----------------
Beringia’s breath stopped as he literally made eye contact with Sedna, and everything sort of froze. She was different, dark, dangerous, her outfit was so different. Her hair was different, BUT he could tell it was her.
“Don’t care.” He came over to her, taking her by the shoulders. “You are Stillvaterite? Sedna?”
----------------
A pale brow rose as the squire’s attitude seemed to do a 180. She was alert but kept her posture cool as he suddenly approached her and took her by the shoulders. A pale hand came up to rest firmly on his chest, palm and fingers pressed flat and multiple uses behind the gesture. A way to keep him there, and if this suddenly turned violent, she could just sink her hand in and yank his starseed. Didn’t he know that’s what those of the Negaverse could do? Why did he just put himself practically at her mercy?
Her head tilted as she regarded him, brows rising slightly in surprise. “Oh! You got it right with the first one, but you have me at a disadvantage. You know my name, but I don’t know your’s.”
And how did he know her name exactly?
----------------
Beringia didn’t know what to say, the hand on the chest was a warning, and for once, he was actually shocked at the idea that Sedna was not clinging to him like normal.
He didn’t step back, though his arms fell and then quickly raised to grab her by the waist and throw her over his shoulder.
“You are friend of family. It’s Beringia, Vhat have they done to you?” Beringia was gonna cart her right to the royal senshi he knew and get this mess straightened out. “You have to come back to right side Sedna.”
-----------------
Well. This was not exactly how she expected her evening to go. Whoever this squire was, he certainly had a lot of nerve. Stillwaterite wasn’t on Beringia’s shoulder for long before he was holding onto nothing but air, her form flickering away. She re-appeared behind him, her hands coming to rest on his shoulders, her body lightly leaning against his back. “Hey.” Her lips brushed his ear. “Are you from Russia?” She purred lowly. “Cause you’re Russian my heart rate.”
The senshi teleported away again, but this time re-appeared in front of him. A decent distance away, to give herself enough time to respond if he rushed her again. She faced him, smirking, one finger resting on her chin in thought while the other cupped her elbow. “But seriously, Beringia, that was rude. You have to buy me dinner first if you want to handle me like that. Also, my name’s not Sedna. If Stillwaterite is too much of a mouthful, you can call me Still.” Thank you, Pyro. “And I’m on the right side.” She trailed off for a moment, watching him.
“Friend of family, huh? Are we not friends?”
-----------------
“Stop that.” Beringia hated that s**t. As she teleported away, damn the negaverse powers already adjusting to her, he hated the pick up line even more. Though he never expected Sedna to be so bold. It was….confusing.
“I have bought dinner…” didn’t he? “Many times, because alvays harassing, alvays vant food when ve hang.”
He scrunched his nose. “Are not right. You are Sedna, Senshi of ships, You are Senshi...not….” He waved at her form right now. “This.”
----------------
She gasped. “You’ve bought me dinner? Many times?” The senshi paused. “I don’t remember a single one of them.” Black eyes rolled up to the starless sky for a moment in thought. “So I guess you’ll have to take me out again! I’ll remember this time.” She was teasing, of course, and honestly there was a part of her that wasn’t too invested currently. It was fun to banter with this man, which is why she was doing it.
Still focused back on him. “But this---” Her hand left her chin to gesture to herself “---is a senshi of Ships. Named Still. So, Brr---” She shortened his name, and it just popped in her head, as she closed the distance between them again with a teleport. She appeared right before him, close. “How good of friends were we?” She asked lowly.

He shoved her face away.
“Not that good of friends.”
----------------------
Still laughed as she was pushed, and she rocked back with ease as she stood upright. The senshi’s arms crossed as she looked at him, tilting her head. “If we’re not good friends, and you think of me as a friend of family...then why should I care what you say now?” She smiled and shrugged her shoulders a bit dismissively. “Anyways, this was a fun break in the evening, but I need to be on my way now.” The corrupt eternal moved past him, getting onto the sidewalk.
“Maybe I’ll see you around, Beringia. Ciao~” Still started to walk away, hoping to get in a bit more sightseeing of the city before she returned to the barracks for the evening.
----------------------
Did….Did she think she was leaving? Beringia frowned, and then crossed his arms….He summoned his weapon, tapping it to his arm before glaring. She was really gonna make him do it.
He moved right quick to her, tapping her shoulder and then tapping the car next to them.
“Back.” He slammed a hand into the car. “My sister has shed tears for you. Ve have been looking for you for months.” He growled, “Yet your attitude is like this. Shite.” He glared at her, “You are nothing more to them but a empty puppet, vith us, more.”
---------------------
The sudden force had her whipping back, enough to knock her hat off, and slamming against the side of the car. Still’s eyes widened briefly in surprise before her expression calmed and she stared right back at him, levelly. Testing her wrists let her know she couldn’t move them, but that’d only be temporarily. Magic pools weren’t everlasting.
“That’s a shame.” She told him lightly. “I don’t want your sister crying for me, especially when I don’t know her.” He was mad though, and the longer she stared at him, something nagged at her. Though she still couldn’t put her finger on it. Like she had seen this before? “Beringa, what are you doing to do once I peel myself off of this car?” Still asked him, quite seriously. “You can’t stop me from taking your starseed.” It wasn’t a boast. It was a simple fact. “So you shouldn’t be provoking me.”
----------------------
“You vouldn’t take starseed anyvays, vould teleport avay.” He didn’t know what he was going to do. His magic couldn’t keep her there forever, and there was no way to reach Nadia or Hurst to help him knock the woman out.
Sadly, the only choice was to let her go, and it burned his britches.
“This is not last time seeing each other. I vill bring you home. The right home.” He growled carefully moving away until he was out of range of his magic and disappearing beyond alleyways. ------------------------
There was a look on the corrupt eternal’s face that said excuse you.
Nevermind that he was right. For whatever reason that she couldn’t explain, the thought of honestly harming the squire in any way made her feel...sick. She wasn’t sure why, and that combined with his badgering about ‘going home’ and ‘right side’ was kind of off putting. Right side? It was with her new friends who took care of her and looked out for her. Home? It was the barracks in Negaspace, or wherever her friends were.
The magic disappeared, and Stillwaterite straightened. She stared after where Beringia had disappeared to, but of course didn’t feel a signature, and didn’t bother chasing it. He was a smart man who knew when he was outmatched...still…
The corrupt teleported away, this time skipping the rest of her scenic tour and returning home to Negaspace.
