AboutHe's brave, strong, a skilled warrior... and a complete idiot. Chantesuta is also rather shallow, thinking himself bigger and more beautiful then he really is, and extremely picky about who he spends long periods of time with.. And the longer he spends with you, the more flaws he finds until he thinks you are below his status.
However, he is a man of his word and is easily to trick into giving his word. He is often sent on pointless and dangerous tasks by Tulgey (see above) simply because the other man can trick him into it. And despite his shallow ways when it comes to who he spends time with, he is willing to help anyone who needs it..
Even if it means being tricked by evil doers into fighting other 'heros'.

That is... Before he met Kaliska.
She was just a foal, well into her second year, when he struck, believing she was a Kalona set on befouling his lord Tulgey's land. While the girl, swifter then she looked and spry, managed to escape with only a few bruises and use her small size to shimmy into a shield of roots of a fallen tree against a boulder, she had cornered herself and he was trying to roll the tree away to trap her and strike down the 'villian'.
It was by sheer luck that the girl was not only under Tulgey's protection, but he was close enough to hear her cries for help and lucid enough that day to care, the larger stallion tackling the 'red knight' and scolding him for his actions, and sending him off on a fateful journey in search of his missing child.
Shaken, the dusty brown stallion traveled down the river, not realizing the journey was supposed to be a sort of banishment. He needed to restore his honor, but was too vain to realize the true error of his ways.
And, in his shaking off and putting Kalona into a category of 'not evil' rather then fully grasping that many could be and often were, it didn't take long for him to be tricked by one of wicked ways and cannibalistic tenancies to nearly crush him underfoot, teeth suffocating his airway as he was pinned like a gazelle in the mouth of a hungry lioness.
When He came to, he found himself alive, injuries tended to as he was dragged along carefully on a travois by an aged stallion, marked with glowing fungi and shards of glowing crystals from his body. His Savior was Singeri, a knight who rarely spoke. Realizing he had almost died, Chantesuta requested to be his squire..
And here is where the story now begins...
Other Statistics-Chantesuta was raised to believe children should be seen but not heard. He is unsure he wants one because he's pretty sure he wouldn't be a good dad.
- He's a little smaller then most male Soquili, but makes up for what usually requires larger, stronger males to do by sheer stubborn determination and pure dumb luck.
- Seems to be unnaturally lucky, and truly wanting to do "whats right".
-Sometimes slacks on his duties as Singeri's Squire, or his training.
- Has mellowed out and matured over the years since his attack on Kaliska. Wishes to make amends.
- Used to get into relationships, then fall almost immediately out of love and start pointing out flaws until they dumped him because "Gentle men do not break up with ladies" and hoped that if they did something about the flaws he kept targeting on his interest would come back.
-Now he knows hes lithromantic (Fantasizing about romance but preferring it only in theory, not in practice and losing interest when its reciprocated) and is open about it
- Mostly just attracted to Fullsized mares, but develops horribly strong crushes on The other soquili races regardless of gender. It also takes a LOT longer for his Aporomantic/lithromantic side to kick him in the a** since the relationship is more asexual/platonic, especially when it comes to Mers and Seathi.
(Distance really does make his heart grow fonder, so if he spent most of his time separated from his 'sweetie' (and they were openly polyamorous with Casual partners and in a quasiplatonic relationship) he COULD be in a relationship.)
