Dovian had made it out of the healer's place, if that was in fact where she stay at full time, and was heading toward where he thought his twin would be at the time. There was a pretty pink line on his side from where he had been stabbed then healed and he still looked tired since he didn't rest all that much, but he was on his feet at least. He had to shake his head a few times to clear the fog of fatigue but at least he was able to stay upright. Looking around Dovi hoped to spot his sister soon so that he could lean on her and find a place to rest without the worry of someone shady hovering over him. Another thing was that he wasn't so sure he wanted to be alone if Gorvis found him again. He had gotten into enough trouble with that for one day, he was sure. Imagine if he got into more? Bushi would likely be furious with him. Not something he wanted so soon after the recent events.

It wasn't too hard to find Shura as she was currently shopping around. She'd been debating getting some more piercing as she'd seen so many pretty ladies with them in various spots. She wondered if she should get more? It would be fun but at the same time they were a bit dangerous since someone she was fighting with could possibly pull them out in a fight. Not something she liked the sound of... but she still loved to wearing pretty things. It was a tough choice. She spotted a merchant selling pretty jewelry and she started over there, eager to get to shopping... when her 'water kitty' suddenly set to chirping. She looked his way, then watched him rush off in a manner that was a bit surprising, "Huh? Anhalo?" It seemed that it would need to wait she thought to herself, following along after her pet, and was brought right to her brother. Giving a bright smile she set to waving, "Dovi! What are you doing over here?" Hurrying over she pounced him, giving her twin a hug, then stepped back, "What are you up to? You alright? Was someone picking on you?" She demanded, looking ready to go to war against whoever was being mean to her poor Dovi.

He found Anhalo first. Or more accurately the kitty had found him. And soon after his twin was there. When he was pounced on he stumbled and did what he could to stay upright, which included a few missteps and holding onto Shura. "Yeah. What? No. I'm tired from being healed." Dovian half sighed before he grabbed his sister by the hand and tugged her along with him. Likely in the most aggressive manner he'd ever displayed in his life. When he thought they were far enough away from earshot of others he stopped and turned to look at Shura. "Did you know that dad is a thief?" Bushi might have said that his sister didn't know but he was asking anyways. If she said yes then he'd be angry with her, though it could wait for later since there were other things to discuss too.

Shura gave her brother a once over before demanding, "Being healed? Why? Who hurt you?" She'd beat them into a squishy pulp she thought to herself, hands tightening into fists. Before she could declare as much she found himself being dragged along, something that surprised her enough that she didn't fight it. Instead she just gave a whistle, calling for Anhalo to follow along after them. A few moments later they were standing off to the side outside of the market place proper and she found herself starring at her brother, "Huh?" After a moment she started to laugh, "That's a funny joke, Dovi. How did you come up with that one?"

He continued to stare at his sister. Dovian's face remained serious as he watched her laugh. "The information came freely right before one of Dad's guild members stabbed me in the side. It was quite the laugh." Now he was being sarcastic and somewhat rude. "I'm not joking Shu." He pointed down to the blood that was stained into his pants from where he was stabbed. The scar would be nice and visible too. "Dad admitted to me that he is involved with the thieves guild." Although, the term complicated had been tossed around a few times in the process. Not that Dovian really understood how complicated things could be. You either stole things or sold the stolen things. Right?

"Stabbed..." She really was going to have to turn the stabber into pudding she thought to herself crossly, stepping in so that she could examine the scar that stood out upon her brother's dark skin. It was a sight that caused rage to roil in her belly. Who would want to stab Dovian? He was such a wonderful person! He wasn't even a fighter, he was an artist, damn it! Shaking her head she said, "I can't say I care about that at the moment, I care about this, about you! I'm going to find who hurt you and I am gonna beat him up!" She told her brother, "Don't worry, I will make him sorry for hurting you like this, Dovi." Though what did she think about what he was saying. It seemed a little weird and outlandish, their father didn't really seem like a criminal. She'd always seen them as shady types that hung out in alleyways and stuff while their father stood in the marketplace selling things to the various people of Oba. How could he do both? It was kinda confusing to her.

He swatted at her fretting before he grabbed her by both shoulders. "Shura.. Dad stabbed the guy in the shoulder then slashed his eyes!" He was trying to drive the point home that their father was... well, shady. At least now. Dovian supposed if he hadn't learned all of that today then he would still think of his dad as being a normal merchant. "Now I have to do some tribute thing to the guild boss and apologize for stealing." He was trying to skip over the details so that he could get to the point. "That doesn't matter though.. the guy sent someone after mom!" Dovi shook his sister to showcase his worry.

"He did what now?" Their father had stabbed someone? Why did this all just sound far too out of nowhere for her to believe. Still, if Dovian had actually seen it all then surely she had to believe him, right? It was just really hard to do without having seen it with her own eyes. Blinking a couple times she said, "Wait, what? Stealing? You were stealing something, Dovi?" She gave him a very disappointed look, more upset that her brother would go off stealing things then the fact that their father had stabbed someone. She loved him and believed in him so surely he had reason, right? That was what she hoped at least. At the mention of the guy sending someone after their mother she gave a squeak of surprised, "W-What?! Oh no... by Essd... we need to go find her! She's working right? Do you think we can get there fast enough to help?!"

"Well, yes.. b-but that's not the point!" Dovian seemed frustrated that he was unable to get all the facts out. It seemed like when he thought he was ahead he had to take two steps back to explain something. So he took a deep breath and tried again. "I stole some top shelf material to make gloves for you to fight the dretch with. This guy caught me but instead of turning me in he showed me how to do another stealing trick and then dad saw me and it turned out that the guy was really someone from his guild so dad was upset. I lied to dad about the stealing and he saw right through it and then the guy had something of moms and dad stabbed him so the guy stabbed me." Dovian paused just long enough to take another breath before he continued. "Dad slashed his eyes and then took me to the healer in some dark alley and said that what he does is complicated but he is in the thieves guild but mom doesn't know and that guy had sent someone after mom so I think dad went to find her but I'm worried." Finally he gasped for air but looked pale. Not only was he still fatigued from the healing but the worry and fear that their mother could be in trouble was bothering him. If something did happen it would be his fault! "I don't know Shura, she was shopping last I knew."

Shura found herself starring for a long moment before she lifted a hand, giving her brother a light karate chop on the top of the head, "I know you're my own personal blacksmith but I don't want you to go stealing in my name, Dovian. Eesh, if you needed money I have some. Dad always gives me money for jewelry and stuff but I don't mind giving it to you if you need it." Was being a blacksmith that expensive? She'd never known! After that she stepped in closer to give him a hug, "You've had an awful day, huh? Poor Dovi... come on, let's go find Mom and then you can sit down and take a breather." He sounded like he needed it if everything that he'd said was actually the Essd honest truth after all. If that were the case then he was going to need a lot of time to recover. Already she was worried for him as well as their parents. Taking his hand in her she started forward, "Come on, let's check the food stands first. She goes there a lot since she's always cooking for us and likes to get good deals."

"Ow!" Dovi rubbed his head and stared at her. "Yeah yeah.. Dad already lectured me. Lesson learned." No really. The one time he does something bad and it turns out like this... Dovian was officially on the straight and narrow now. No curves anywhere on this road. When Shura hugged him he seemed to lean some of his weight into her. That was what he needed. His twin to give him comfort. "It would be great if today never happened.." He nodded his head. As the mention of food stands was mentioned he seemed to somehow find his brain again. Dovian should have thought about that but with the chaos and the worry he had been too focused on panicking. "Any ideas on what she might be in the mood to make tonight?" Maybe that would give them a clue as to where she was.

"It would seem so... but since it has we just need to keep moving forward, I guess?" She drew back, lifting a hand to pet her brother's hair in a soothing manner, like she would to Anhalo if he got riled up, before she said, "It's going to be alright, we just have to figure this out is all. Where Mom might be I mean." Where could she be at the moment? There were a lot of places to pick from after all. "Maybe... maybe the butcher? She tends to cook a lot in the way of meat to keep Dad happy so that is always a good place to check I think." She couldn't make a guess at what their mother would make exactly since she liked to surprise them a lot but meat was always on the menu, so it was a good spot to check out if you asked Shura.

Meat. Well it did make sense. Dovian could usually count on that to be on the menu no matter what was being made or how it was being made. So he nodded his head. "There are a few around here." He wouldn't be able to give specific locations off the top of his head but he knew how to find them. "Just hope dad found her before anything bad happened." He murmured. Dovian had a real fear that something would happen to their mother because he had decided to be stupid.

Shura gave a nod of agreement, not really liking the idea that they might show up late or something. She just wanted to run ahead but wondered if that would drag too much attention to them and make people question what they were up to. Given that Dovian had apparently stolen something she felt that maybe it was best not to draw a bunch of attention to her brother. Instead she'd make sure that he was kept safe and didn't get noticed by anyone that didn't need to look his way. "Come on, I'm sure we will find her shopping. And if not we will go over to Dad's stand and wait there since he said we were supposed to go there after I got you." That had to mean that he would be joining them she thought to herself, leading the way in a manner she hoped drew no attention to where the butcher was located that sold the 'best meat' according to their mother.

Dovian followed his sister, still feeling exhausted and like he could literally just drop to the ground and sleep. If things worked out in their favor then they would find their mother still blissfully unaware of what had happened. Honestly, while he'd been upset at his dad for not telling mom about his other life he didn't really look forward to her finding out. "Shura... Mom doesn't know about Dad." His voice had grown small. "So we can't tell her.. okay? We can't let anyone tell her." He sucked at lying but in this case he was willing to become a pro at it to make sure his mother didn't get hurt. Thinking back on it he didn't really feel it was this Hestian guy he should apologize to. It was his dad. What if his actions today ruined their family? Ruined everything? "Shu... I think I really messed up."
