Glen looked around before deciding to get a drink, and to also grab some pictures of those nicely arranged star shaped treats,, he was gonna recreate those or die trying. In the meantime though, he glanced at the card handed to him. Eyepatch? Bedazzled eye patch? It wasn’t really the eyepatch that got him though, this was Destiny city, nd even if he had been gone a few years he knew weird, magic related incidents happened all the time, or you know, even mundane accidents.No, it was the fact this guy seemed to let stud clasps near his face at all! Which admittedly had to hurt. He subtly looked around, hoping to see this guy and ask, it helped that for once he was the taller party and could look for this other guy easily.

After all that chaos that happened at the fair just a few minutes ago, Benji really wasn't looking forward to this date. His mind was elsewhere, worried about the friend he just made and the way he had run off. Not that it was any of his business that the boy saw his own boyfriend here with another man. Nope, none of it was his business at all, yet he still felt the need to worry.
After futzing around for a little bit, debating whether or not he should just leave already, the time came for him to find his date... Well, he wasn't a quitter so... Off he went to find the boy in this description.
Unfortunately for Glen, Benji wasn't wearing his bedazzled eyepatch or any of the ridiculously flashy clothing his invite said. Since Raleigh filled out his card, and now wasn't here, he just wore his normal jeans, a black bomber jacket and a semi-nice shirt. It was as good as he was going to get given how much he wasn't even sure he wanted to come in the first place. It didn't take long for Benji to spot his date though... Not with the brightness of that coat he was wearing, geesh... After a deep breath, he approached the man, giving a light tap on the shoulder and trying not to scowl.
"Hey, you're Glen, right? Uh... Hi, nice to meet you, I guess. I'm Benji. Looks like I'm you're date for tonight." s**t... This was already way more awkward than he wanted it to be... Hopefully that meant he would be done here sooner than later... Even if the boy was good looking, he just didn't know how to be a date.

Glen jumped at the tap, and nearly let out a sigh of relief. Good, the guy wasn't wearing anything that looked like it was point six seconds away from stabbing his eye, that was at least one question he wasn't going to ask. He did notice though the guy was dressed pretty average, and still pretty cute. Oh damn, he was even nervous! This was oddly endearing to him, even if he was smiling awkwardly and just a tad bit nervous himself. "Yeah um, i'm Glen." He started to look away, damn, he was a bad conversationalist, he could see how this would end all ready. He brightened, getting an idea. (thanks natural progress of a city!) "Is there anything you want to do, know of? This is my first time back in town in a few years, and I don't think i ever went to the museum before then either." He laughed a bit awkwardly.

"Anything to do? Like... Do you mean here, or out beyond the event?" The idea of leaving here with some stranger kinda freaked him out, but he also had no intention of going in that hot air balloon again. He had more than enough drama for one day. Some of the exhibits did look pretty neat though. And... there was alot of stuff going on, surprisingly.
"Well... I do like space and stuff, so we can look around. s**t, but you don't like space, do you? Uh... I guess we could go see what else is nearby... All these places are probably packed though... ********, I dunno. I probably should have thought this through some more..." He paused for a second, biting his lip as his face began to turn red. Fuuuuck what was he supposed to do?!
"Oh, uh... What about one of those classes? Uh... Making chocolate or something...? Sound interesting?"

Glen backpedaled. "No! No i mean here! I dont really.....god damn i am doing a bad job of this. " He sighed, running a hand through the thick, non shaved area of his hair. Being this awkward just wasn't him, and it seems like he hit the limit of his nerves. "We can look at anything space related but light shows. Not only is it horrifying to think about but it sort of makes me dizzy." He blushed, that actually being an embarrassing thing to him. "The chocolate class sounds fine too, I actually want to see what they teach. So, Class and then tour or the other way around?" He didn't want to be rude and be the only one deciding. Also Benji's troubled face was getting to be cutely sad and Glen couldn't handle that.

All of these nerves and blushing and studdering about on words seemed to finally crack Benji and instead of looking as nervous as he felt, he laughed. He laughed for just a bit, then relaxed, seeming much more put together than he had been just a few moments before.
"It's okay! I think we're both a bit more nervous than we need to be, so... Yeah, okay let's go look at the chocolate thing. It sounds good and hey, free chocolate!" To give the other male a bit of encouragement, he took his arm and pulled him a bit towards the event, seeing a line form already. They might have to wait a little bit but honestly, with how cute Glen was, he didn't really mind.
"So... Uh, Glen.. What do you do? I mean, I think you're older than me. Do you go to school or something? I just started DCU about six months ago. Botany. Pfft, I don't look it, huh?"

He like the seeing the other guy relax, it really helped calm him down a bit more as well. He felt the pull of his arm being grabbed and led off to the line. Well, Benji certainly liked to take charge it seemed, and that was okay with Glen. "I actually just got back from an out of state college that specialized in culinary arts," He began, smiling as he was glad to talk about his studies. "But I came back too late to enroll at DCU for the spring semester, so i'm taking a break until fall. " He shrugged, he may have loved his choice in careers but DAMN could it be tough, this was a much needed break to him. "I was going to start job hunting soon though. Maybe at one of the bakeries, if they have openings at least."

"Ah, that's pretty cool. A break sounds awesome, so does culinary arts." Small talk was weird. What more was he supposed to say? At what point does his words start seeming weirder than they actually were? And was it too soon to shift the subjects? He didn't know s**t about cooking. Ooh, that's a good one!
"So that means these silly little chocolate and ice cream classes wouldn't do much for you, huh? Probably even a little boring. Wanna do something else then?" Benji still held Glen's arm in his hand, though he paused in walking, curious if the older boy had any other ideas.
"We don't have to stay here either. It's all up to you. I mean, I guess me too, but, eh, you know what I mean. I just don't want you bored, is all."

Glen thought about it. Go somewhere else? He didn't feel okay with that actually, the lessons from his last city ingrained in him now, along with well, all of the lessons he learned here "the classes sound fine honestly. I don't mind participating, but I think I want to walk around instead, maybe look around, buy a kischy gift shop item if I can." Maybe dinner? He was afraid to add.
