Gur had followed the rest of the pride to the new pridal lands. It was different yet similar here. The main difference being the fact the pride did not dwell with in the hearts of a mist covered land but there was still a great deal of moisture. There were also rich resources of gems and crystals with in the pride that the homeland did not have.

Gur honestly had no ambitions to pursue any of the knowledge about becoming a scribe or learning about the crystals or gems with in the pride. Her only goal was to be close to those she'd been around for a good amount of her life and have a safe place to belong. She knew she could easily become a chevalier but again, she lacked the ambition to seek the title out.

Nah, being a shine was fine. Gur enjoyed gathering food from the sea and she enjoyed filling in where she was needed. Being a jack of all trades and master of none suited her just fine.

Today she had decided to perch herself upon some of the slick rocks that protected the pridal land and watch the rest of the pride unfold in their daily duties below. A thin misting of rain was ever present making the climb up a little slippery and hard.

Silme'raana was pretty happy here in the new pridal lands. She enjoyed exploring the new pride out side of the caverns the most. Yes, the caverns were nice and filled with a lot of shiny materials but out side the caverns were just as magical. She loved the slickness of the rocks and testing her ability to hop from one slick rock to the next.

While she was out on one such outting she noticed another perched on top of one of the slick rocks near the outter rim of the heart of the pride.

Gur?

Silme did not know her well but she did know that she was an original member. She was older than herself too but the two had never actually been close. Curious, Silme found her self wandering towards that direction. In no time she was sitting beside Gur.

Another had sat beside her but Gur was unmoving in her spot. She knew the gray lioness who was sat beside her but the two were not close. Gur had been in the pride a lot longer than Silme but Silme had been born in to the pride. Gur was unsure which had hierarchy. Not that mattered.

"Something I can help you with?" Was finally muttered by Gur as the two sat. "It's a little odd to sit beside some one for no reason." Was added. The lionesses tail flicked from side to side but not out of frustration. Gur was curious.

Gurs question caught Silme a little off guard but it wasn't a random question. Honestly, Silme wasn't fully sure what it is she wanted or why she had decided to sit beside Gur in the first place so for an uncomfortable moment the gray lioness opted to stay silent.

"Why have you never decided to move up the ranks?" Was finally asked by Silme. "You've been here so long but you've never moved to a different rank besides a very basic one. Are you just okay with that? "

Silme was being invasive and probing with her questioning but she didn't seem to care if she came across as rude or not. These were real questions she had.

"Very forward of you Silme," Gur didn't even flinch at the questions. That was how much of a bad a** she really was. Such questions were bound to come her way sooner or later.

"Well for a start ... I guess I don't care much for titles. They're nice but I am happy where I am. If we all aspired to be crystal healers, chevaliers, or ladies there wouldn't be a strong base to keep us steady. You need a good base as much as you need ambition. There is no shame in being happy where you are." At least that was how Gur saw it.

"I admire those that do opt to further them selves. I am happy though."

Silme had never thought about it that way that no everyone wanted to move up in the ranks. It seemed weird to her but also reasonable.

"Well... I always thought with your muscle build you'd be good as a guard.. err.. Chevalier. You're a strong lioness and you'd be able to scare off outsiders no problem with little to no effort," Silme was speaking with admiration for Gur.

"I mean that is if you wanted to do that .. but doesn't seem you want that."

Gur chuckled and fought the urge to shove at Silme playfully. The two were on slick rocks and such an action could cost a life. It was better to sit and chuckle.

"Well thanks I suppose..?" She snorted from laughing so much.

"You're not the first to point that out to me but I do assure you if it was what I wanted I would have already done it. I am perfectly happy as a shine." She assured Silme. "And what about you young Silme. Are you happy where you are? Being a Chevalier? I imagine you are."

The rain droplets were getting a little thicker now making sitting out in the open a little more uncomfortable for Gur.

"Yeah I think I am." Silme didn't think about her answer very hard. Becoming a guard, or a chevalier was what she wanted since she was a cub. It was what she'd trained her entire life to be and now she was and Silme was completely happy with her life choices up to now. Fanya seemed pretty happy too despite going in a different direction than Silme.

The rain was starting up a little thicker now.

"I wasn't trying to be rude. Merely curious."

The rain was getting a little harder now and it had now crossed the point that Gur was comfortable with.

"It's fine... but I am gonna head back to the caverns. This rain seems like its going to get a lot worse before it gets better," She grumbled. "If you want to talk about it more you can follow me."

And that was that. Silme watched as Gur disappeared down the slick rocks and had headed back to the caverns leaving Silme on top of the rocks watching. She didn't feel the need to head back to the caverns her self as the rain really didn't bother her.

She'd go back to patrolling in a little bit. Right now she was enjoying the scenery that Gur had been enjoying just a few moments ago.
