The evening is almost picture perfect. You enter the large ballroom to find it decorated with simple, yet elegant decor themed in varying hues of pinks and whites. While dining tables are scattered across one half of the room, the other half is cleared away to make room for dancing, with music provided by a modest accompaniment of musicians.
Lining the room sit displays of some of Joellen Faure-Cameron's newest evening attire line, fresh from off the runway in Paris. They seem to be the talk of the town for all of the fashion bloggers or news reporters looking for the biggest scoop in the world of fashion. Feel free to oooh and ahhhh at them accordingly but the burly looking security officers standing nearby each one are more than happy to remind you to please don't touch.
Near the entrance sits a table practically covered in flowers, manned by two peppy young women. Both seem very eager to offer these corsages and boutonnieres to all willing to donate towards the charitable cause of the evening.
On the other side of the entrance sits a table adorned with rows and rows of satchels. Every person who enters the ballroom with a ticket receives one, along with the gratitude of the evening's set of hosts: Chase Black with his date Priscilla Stratford and Joellen's son himself, Trey Cameron.

You are welcome to puppeteer any waitstaff members as needed. Please assume that your character has received a candy gift bag for arriving to the Ball but aside from that, feel free to wander about and enjoy yourself. Food is readily available of all natures near the dinner tables in a buffet style. Drinks are available to all who are of age to partake (or have a feasible looking fake ID). Music will be playing up until the end of the affair for those who wish to dance.
If you are feeling particularly lonely or gabby this evening, feel free to address any of the three hosts by quoting either Nuxaz, Ghouliboo or Whimsical Blue.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ping any of us and have a lovely evening at the Ball!

Things had come together nicely.
Months of planning went into the affair and he carefully had cultivated a relationship with Trey, all while Prissy faithfully remained at his side. She looked extravagant, as expected, beside him in the dress they'd had custom made for the occasion.
It wasn't just an event hosted in his late Mother's honor, it was their two year anniversary and his girlfriend's birthday and after last year, Chase needed to make sure that it was a grand ordeal.
Whiskey-gold glanced around, taking in the details as the staff finished flitting to and fro to make sure everything was in place. His expression was a rather stony one as he assessed things but when he turned to look at his companions there was an upward curl to his lips-- a faint smile or smirk accompanying the way he pressed the heel of his hand against the small of the pinkette's back.
When he spoke, it was to both of them.
"Everything appears to be running smoothly, guest should be arriving shortly." His expression didn't away much, but his tone indicated that he was pleased. "Mother would have been impressed," his gaze shifted over to Trey, acknowledging the hard work the younger man had put into things. Without him things would have been more difficult, manageable but likely a bumpier ride.
His attention shifted back to Prissy and he pressed his lips against her temple. "Are you ready birthday girl?

Eyes closed as she smiled, lips pressed to the rim of her glass as his kiss brushed against her. He was mindful enough to keep her hair intact, a possessive hand reminding her of his presence - not that she needed that reminder. It was nice to have, either way - definitely a one-up from how she spent last Valentine's Day.
"Parties are one of my specialties, darling."
The pearls slipped down her wrist as the rose corsage shifted. The flute was deposited on the nearby table and she turned to idly adjust the boutonniere on her boyfriend's lapel, purring, "Everything looks wonderful. You should be proud of yourself."
Glancing over her shoulder, she offered a grin to their younger companion, "You too, cutie. Your mother would be impressed. It was a shame she wasn't able to make it tonight."
The doors opened and soon enough, people were making their way inside, invitations tucked in to pockets and purses as curious eyes drank in their surroundings. Priscilla smiled as she motioned to wave at one or two that she recognized before returning to the remainder of her champagne.
As far as birthdays went, this one was looking to be much better than last year's.

Trey smiled, but the expression didn’t reach his tired eyes and he dropped them as Chase looked his way, smoothly covering whatever emotion lingered in them.
Almost two months now. Almost two months of his life being turned upside down and here he was, standing in his finely tailored suit, making polite conversation and more of the same for hours yet. He wished himself anywhere other than here right now, but the charity ball had been his duty, his hard work, planning and organization… there was no way Chase was going to let him bow out of it. His fingers twitched the top button of his creamy shirt above the tie that felt like a collar and leash more than anything before he forced his hand away and brought his drink to his lips instead.
Those same lips twisted a little at the comment about his mother and the liquour in his mouth soured, though he forced a smile through the painful reminder.
“She hasn’t been in the party mood since December, I’m afraid.” He said. Since my brother went missing went unsaid, but clear. He didn’t have the luxury of wallowing at home as she did, haunting their house and Rowan’s room like a ghost. There was still a company to run and a damned charity ball to throw… someone had to do it, and there was no one else. The lines around his mouth and the color under his eyes spoke volumes about that, if you knew what to look for.
“If you’ll excuse me…” He said as he snagged a fresh glass from a passing waiter, dropping his empty one neatly on their silver tray. “There are guests to greet and I’m sure questions about my mother’s designs. Please, let a server know if you need me.”
A long finger tapped the discreet earbud he wore, keeping him in touch with the staff running the event, as he headed towards the outfits on display, already tipping half a glass of champagne down his throat as he went.Anyone is free to approach or bump into Trey!

Khaleel had received the invitation to the charity ball as a formal stand in for his father. Though Khaleel did not manage more then a small part of the large company, his influence was the one of one day inheriting the companies large responsibilities and thus required some sort of presence.
Really though, he was here to enjoy the company of a certain eternal senshi that he had confessed on a drunken new years eve. Confessed to a crush, everyone calm down, he thought she was a prize among the stars to be honest.
If he had a tail, it'd be wagging, but instead, he was wearing a wonderful suit, His hair still a messy tousled though it was held back by a nice head ban. His face was nice and cheery and he was defenitely holding the hand of one Lilith Calchas.
"It's very pretty!" he looked over to his date, "You are very pretty though! The prettiest of them all!"
---------
Nevada hadn't expected an invitation to a large run charity ball, but she had one, and was going to use it. Since Lavender Skies settled in Destiny City, her only connections out in the city were her best friend Penrose and the very handsome Solomon.
Dressed for the occasion, She ran her hand up the arm of the handsome Solomon she had just thought of and beamed a smile up at him. Her hair was loose and free, minimally decorated as she wasn't a woman of...well extravagance. Her energy was boundless, though well contained and she was emitting the aura of a young polished woman.
"I can't tell if I want to get the flowers first, or perhaps maybe food or..." She sighed, "We could dance...."
-----
Regan was not there to enjoy the ball much, mostly to hang with the few members of her pack. It was probably best that she got out to socialize but in this room and dressed in attire that she didn't like or was used too, she felt like an odd duck in a room full of swans.
She shifted back to the wall, and took wall flower to a whole new meaning. Her gaze sweeping the area's warily.

Events like this he'd hated when growing up, but what teenager liked such things? It wasn't the clothing, one look in his closet could attest to that, it was the social aspects of such events. He didn't like dealing with people, especially lots of them, and yet here he was ready to socialize...at least a bit. The more amazing part was that this had to do with Valentines day as a holiday, and those who knew him knew his disdain for the day, and he was out on the day he hated the most rather than being locked away at home cursing the day.
The fact this was a charity event was the only reason he was here, he did like to give back when and where he could, but the decorations were bothersome as he kept to Aiden's side. Grey blue eyes glancing about as a scowl etched itself upon his fair features. "When we get home...I'm taking a long hot soak." The way he spoke it was as if he would be dirty coming home from this event, as if the decorations would follow him home clinging onto his clothing and his skin and needed to be washed off. Really it was just that he would need to relax, from what he'd consider a miserable and stressful day.
Glancing up to his partner the scowl slowly turned upward into a small smile. At least Aiden was here to keep him company, and keep him from potentially insulting any number of people who enjoyed this holiday.

It wasn't the first time that Lilith attended a charity ball, though she was a bit amused that it was the first time in a while that she was attending one with a date. She was aware that her father's security firm had clients out in the mix, and it wasn't uncommon for her to attend functions as a stand-in for him. This, however, wasn't in relation to that. Not largely, anyways.
Her hair had been straightened and the ends teased to play nice in curls, makeup light and balancing nicely--she hoped--with her attire. A dark gown hit the floor, masking, for the most part, the black pumps beneath, until she moved in such a way to show the slit that ran up one leg. The pink gauzy overlay helped to soften the look, and gold bangles and slender chains twinkled with red and pink gems. A thick shawl was tossed around her shoulders to fend off the n** in the air, something which made her all the more appreciate stepping into a warm room.
When Khaleel had invited her, she'd panicked a bit after accepting--getting ready had been an all-day affair with her mother and a few friends coming into the city, a few even out in the crowd, from what they'd told her.
She'd be lying if she said she hadn't intended to dress up a bit more because she was there with Khaleel. He was remarkably sweet, and the champagne and charming fellow induced blush that had rung in the new year hadn't entirely dissipated even by February.
Lilith gave the hand hers was tucked against a quick squeeze. She could smell the flowers and a smile lit her face as she gave a small laugh to his statement. "I believe you might be the sweetest here," she said before she could catch herself on how cliche that might sound. A bit of color stained her cheeks. "I-I mean. Um. Thank you. I've no doubt you look very dashing." Was that lame? That felt lame. Oh jeeze. Inwardly, she groaned at herself. Just have fun and be yourself. Yeah. Tell that to nerves.
"U-um! So, what would you like to do? Do you see anyone you know?" Just move... the conversation along... yep.
---------------------------- When the news started going around for the charity ball, Jericho had almost immediately gone out to snag a pair of tickets, and had just as quickly requested Cas save the date. There was always the chance she could be busy, of course, thus his relief when she'd confirmed she'd be joining him that evening.
He'd dressed relatively simple, at least by perhaps some standards, his all black attire and hair left down to run just past his shoulders giving him a streamlined appearance. Cufflinks in a pale blue stone and silver were the only spots of color on him, though he preferred that sort of look.
Again he'd been given leave to borrow Melinda's car, and use that to escort his date to the charity ball. Once out of the car, he'd offered his arm to Cas, clearly letting his gaze linger along her figure, before heading into the ball itself. The color choices weren't a surprise, given the holiday, but even he had to admit--it looked nice. Not his tastes, but credit where it was due.
"Anywhere you'd like to wander first?" He looked down to Cas with a raised brow, looking away only long enough to eye some of the champagne and other drinks going around. He did have a fake ID. Question was if he was actually going to use it tonight.

Evren floofed her hair the curls ending slightly after her ears. She had stylized her hair for this event it was a bit different from her normal style so she wasn’t sure if she looked alright but if she thought she looked cute that was enough right?. When she heard about this charity event she signed up immediately… cause you know who doesn’t like finding fun ways to help charity… even if she had no idea what charity this was helping. She was probably slightly not dress appropriately for a ball either but she had just made this outfit and it was as formal as she was probably going to get. Looking down at her large purse she smiled at the treats she got when she walked in and then got nervous wondering if the person she was meeting would like her gift. Sure she made plenty because who knows what this person’s favorite color was… But now that she thought of it was there someplace she was supposed to meet this person… Evren decided to venture in further and eventually found herself at the snack table. Her eyes sparkled at the treat table. Everything at Valintine’s day was always so cute! She grabbed her notebook and started sketching away at the sights she saw. “Everything is just so cute!” A big cat like grin was on her face. “It really makes me feel inspired… maybe I’ll design something with lots of hearts next.” Course her last couple of works she put together for herself had a Valentine theme.

Khaleel Daher
"Do not be silly, I am the rough in the diamonds among here!" He smiled brightly at her, gently leading her further into the ball, as his head turned this way and that way.
"Dashing is good word! Dashing is nice. I am glad you approve." If he had ears though, they would've dropped a little, "I am not use to these shoes though, these fancy, sometimes get away with the flip flops. But oh well! Father will be glad that I made a good appearance."
Her question was answered just as eagerly as the others, his excitement rising again. "I know maybe one person! The man who holds the ball! Chase Black? He is a friend of Fiona's, and so that makes him good people!" He waited, "He helped me a little when I first came here and found me a job but I have not actually talked...talked to him!"
He was surely not one to shy away from conversation.
"Do you see anyone? Do you want to dance first? Should we get flowers?" He smiled at her, "I think you should have a pretty corsage for your pretty dress!" He reached over to brushed a strand of hair out of her face and gently touch her cheek.

Tzuyuentered the ballroom and looked around, everything looked so pretty. It was decorated in pinks and whites varying from night colors to light colors. The music that was playing was soothing to the ears. There was a display of beautiful elegant dressed each with a misled looking bodyguard standing near them. They looked so expensive. To expensive for Tzuyu to ever afford. She could just imagine how many 0's were on their price tags. She looked down at her dress. It was a 'hand me down.' Tzuyu shooked her head. Ha!! She didn't even have any siblings. It was her grandmother's when she was Tzuyu's age. She remembered watching her mother taken it out of a duty looking trunk. It's kinda pretty. All it needs is a few stitching here and there." Her mother had smiled at her. And that's where Tzuyu found herself here at the charity ball in a plain looking dress from back in the days. At least it wasn't one of those heavy looking ballroom dresses Tzuyu wasnt sure she could ever walk in those. ((181))

Stacey entered the room, taking a fleeting glance at the outfits at the entrance, before shrugging and moving on. She wasn't too dressed for the event, just in her best dress that she had so far. It was a long, red one that reached the floor, and she wore a pair of small black-heeled shoes because no way was she going to break her ankle just to attend this thing. She wasn't one for 'girly' things like super extravagant ballgowns, but she really couldn't pass up the chance of free food. And besides, Tom was going to go with her. Unfortunately, that hadn’t happened. With the flu being so bad this season, he had managed to catch it and was currently trying not to die. As much as she wanted to stay with him, she knew that it would be too easy to pass, and he had said not to worry about him and if she wanted to go to the charity ball by herself she could. Tell him what the food was like, that’s all he wanted to know. She had rolled her eyes a bit at him, but knew that he couldn’t really be eating anything he wanted right now, and had promised to take some pictures or something when she got there of it, to show him what he had missed. Because neither of them was going for anything else! She sighed as she strolled through the room, looking around for the buffet table, and hoping she could just stay at it the whole night. She wasn’t one for conversation when she was too hungry, but if someone wanted to eat with her near the buffet table and converse, that would be okay. ((Stacey is open for interaction.))

Erich wandered in, not even noticing the outfits at the front. He wasn't one for this fancy stuff. He would feel better going out and roughing it in the wilderness rather than attending one of these, ball, things. But he had heard that they would have a buffet, and he knew if he got there early enough, he might just be in there in time to get some actual food. And of course, there was probably going to be some wine or champagne and such. He wasn't one for drinking beer, American stuff just wasn't that great, but something a bit fancier was always appreciated. Not that he would be over-indulging, he never did like the effect of being hung-over, he had learned when he was an undergrad that the party life wasn't for him. He stood at the wall for a bit, looking at everyone who came in, and so far, it was no one that he recognized. Well, that wasn’t a surprise, he wasn’t really one to keep people close to him in life. He sighed, before heading toward the buffet table to indulge in some good food. As much as he liked roughing it, there was quite a difference between chicken made in a pan at a campsite versus in a professional kitchen. ((He's open for interaction!))

One of the professors helping him with his English skills, because he had a lot to work on, had assigned him to go to this event and write something on it. They also wanted him to read it to them when he turned it in. It was, thankfully, a one on one lesson with this professor so it wouldn't be bad if he messed up when doing the presentation part of the assignment.
Already he was planning to go over things with his aunt, and uncle, to make sure his English was as good as could be before the presentation he was going to have to do.
Stepping inside was a shock of color and decorations and other things, nothing he was used to. This was nothing he was used to and he wasn't sure what he thought, at least not at first. He had, with some manner of forethought, brought a small notebook with himself so he could write things down so he knew what to do for his paper on this event. He would need it, he was sure of it, because there were bound to be things he'd forget, things he wouldn't want to forget.
Looking around Boon-nam was hoping to find a place he could stay, somewhere to sit and observe, he didn't want to socialize with people. He had a paper to do on this and his English wasn't the best, socializing wasn't likely to be easy for him, so he wanted to try his best to avoid such embarrassing things. (Word count 256)

Tzuyu looked around at the room it was packed as of yet and for that fact she was glad. She wasn't one for large crowds and that's when she usually find some way to embrass herself. She signed and looked around for the buffet table She watched people walking around varying ttys of champagne and food. She was not s drinker and sctually didnt like the taste of any kind of alcohol. They all had a strange taste. She made her way to a table with good. She picked up a plate and was about to stack it with food when she stoped herself and remembered where she was. She was not at room she was out in public and should try not to embrass herself. Tzuyu wasnt even paying attention. She turned and accidently bumped into someone. "I am so sorry." ((142))
