Alex was bouncing around the island, looking for an opponent with free time. Mostly because he had free time and was easily avoiding the life of a typical trainee on Deus.
At least, after all the zombie stuff, he was pretty sure he was avoiding the messes of a trainee's life and stuff so.
As he looked around, his eyes settled on a pretty small blonde, Teal sun decorating her jacket and beelined for her.
"EXCUSE ME MISS....." Alex almost tripped over some stuff as he wasn't payiing attention, waving at the blonde for her attention. "Do you have time for our lord and savior-" Well the second part of it was a joke.

It wasn't the sorry of thing you heard around the island much, if at all. Peyton blinked, rolling to a stop in the middle of the hall to give the guy running at her the most perplexed, incredulous look that had likely crossed her features in a fairly long time. Her initial response would have been a rather puzzled 'what', but she reigned that in as she looked down at the box in his hands, then back up to his face. A trainee, she had a vague memory of overseeing a match with him in it for the tournament. What was his name again... "As a matter of fact, I do have a moment. My faith been wandering lately, and I think this might be just what I've been needing." Her initial confusion had slid sideways into the realms of bemusement. Pale eyes were bright, smile friendly, and maybe a little challenging. Alex! That was it.

Her perplexed look gave Alex life.
Apparently this island was clearly lacking in people who played board games. ALL WORK, NO PLAY!
"Fantastic!" He grinned at her, "Come this way to my humble office abode where I can teach you the ways of our lord, the one who says sorry." He led her right into one of the common rooms, setting the game up.
"I should tell you now, our lord has some specific requirements to enlighten the new believers." He waited, "First step....which color do you wanna be?" He waited, "Oh I'm Alex by the way, you're the girl who ran the tournament just recently yeah?"

As she followed him Peyton tried to recall the last time she'd played any sort of board game and was surprised to find that she honestly couldn't remember. Pre-Deus, of course. Surely she'd played them with Astrid, and with their parents before their mom had died, but any specific instants were a blur to her. It made her frown thoughtfully as she took aseat, but it was very short lived. Alex had a way about him, the sort of personality that just made you want to smile, and she didn't fight the effects. "Blue is fine." She grinned as he seemed to recognize her and nodded. "Yeah, that'd be me. I'm Peyton, Sun division." She left off the rest of the title, since it didn't seem prudent at the moment. He wasn't looking for training, he wanted to play a game. "So how long have you been here?" She asked him as she leaned in to pick up her game piece, turning it in her fingers.

"Blue it is for the pretty lady!" Alex set her pieces up, choosing green for himself and then smiling.
"Nice to meet you officially and stuff, not when we're all like....bashing our heads in!" He hummed happily as he handed her a dice to roll to go first.
"Now, we gotta pray to the dice gods, are you competitive?" His smile widened.
"How about if you get out on the first turn, I'll tell you some things about me." He winked, "Otherwise, I get to keep all my dangerous mysterious secrets to myself!"
That sounded totally fair right?Beejoux Roll a 6 sided die bae, if you get a even number, Peytons piece gets out OVO

Peyton certainly didn't mind meet and greets in the middle of sparring, it made it a little easier she thought. To away some of the awkwardness that could occur. But this want bad either. "Yeah, likewise." Taking the offered dice the girl couldn't help but grin at the trainee, flashing partly teeth as he asked if she were competitive. Warrick snorted in amusement.ebt before Peyton had a chance to answer. "I am, yes." It was a Sun thing. Not for all of them, but enough, certainly. "Very much so." His wager was an interesting one. "Deal, but what if it went both ways. I don't mind answering questions as well. If I can't get out, you can ask me something." And with that she rolled the dice.
