The park was a good place to patrol. If anything, it was a place where he could ignore the fact that he was supposed to be hunting for monsters or people of Chaos and just go for a run, or at least a short sprint. That was what he had just done -- a short sprint through one of the shorter paths, enough to get his blood moving and get himself sweating just a bit. He let out a sigh of relief, sitting himself down in a nearby bench for a moment. He didn't really see anyone around, so he figured there wouldn't be any harm in it. Vaguely, he sensed that there might have been some power signatures nearby, but none of them were screaming monster or Negaverse, so he figured it would be alright. They could come closer if they wanted, or they could stay away. Right now, he just wished he had a water bottle. Maybe he should consider strapping one to his uniform after he transformed next time. At least then he wouldn't feel like he was developing dry throat. Encke closed his eyes for a moment, focusing on the power signatures he felt nearby. It didn't hurt to try and hone his sense just a little more.

Just arriving at the park, knowing it tended to be a bit of a hot spot for youma and other things, he could already feel a senshi somewhere in the park..somewhere close. They were a super, he could by now tell how powerful others were, and if he could feel them he was sure they could feel him. Did he go and see who it was? Maybe it was someone he knew? Maybe someone new, likely someone new.
Turning on his feet Venice headed into the park and towards the energy signature, at least he thought he was headed toward it. If this was someone new that was good, it was good to find new potential allies, he'd had to get into the habit of being more social and less closed off since becoming a knight. he was still working on it, language less of a barrier now, but sometimes it was still a bit difficult. he tended to stick to patrolling on his own or with his husband or either of his cousins. Quinn also but he was more than a friend, he also worked for Quinn.
When he did see the figure, on the bench, he knew it was someone new. That wasn't a uniform he knew...he knew no one who wore those colors in fact.
"Evening." Calling out to them.

He felt the presence coming closer, but he didn't open his eyes yet. There was no guarantee they were coming to him. The sense didn't quite feel familiar in the same way that a senshi did, but it wasn't entirely unfamiliar, either. It wasn't a dark, weighing sense--it was still a light one, one that seemed to bring some level of relief with it. It certainly wasn't the same as him, but it was definitely on the same side. A knight? When it became too close to ignore, Encke opened his eyes and leaned forward a bit. The evening greeting was clearly directed at him. He didn't hear anyone else in this area, anyway, or feel anyone else for that matter. He seemed to have been right, at the very least. That certainly didn't look like a senshi outfit. No collar. He wasn't sure what this man was a knight of, though. He had seen Saturn knights and Earth knights, but he didn't know the symbol that seemed to be patterning this one's outfit. -- Right, he should probably respond to the greeting. After a nervous laugh, Encke offered, "Evening! Sorry, was trying to figure out what kind of Knight you are." He grinned. "I haven't seen that pattern before, the one on your vest?"

While the other was speaking he was looking the senshi over, approaching casually. "Most don't know it." His accent was there, heavy but his English wasn't impossible to understand. It did make it interesting to listen to though. "It is for Ganymede. I'm one of her knights - Venice." There were others, he knew a few of them, he hadn't seen any of the others in a while. He hoped they were doing well, especially the ones who were newer and younger. Most of them, when he'd met them, had seemed younger than himself...
There was supposed to be a team of them...but it had all fallen apart. He'd been excited for it but it had come to nothing, well nothing but a thought. Best not to think about it, he hadn't thought about it in a long time.
"Can I ask...you are senshi of what?" Since the uniform didn't give any hints, at least nothing that he was picking up on...it could easily be something he was missing, he wouldn't be surprised if it was really.

"Ganymede!" Now that was interesting. Ganymede had broken the pattern he had seen so far. Sure, like Earth and Saturn, it was a Sol System object, but unlike those two, it was a moon. He supposed it was a very large moon, but it was still a moon, and he hadn't seen any knights representing a moon before. Though, perhaps more interestingly, this Venice "Knight of Ganymede" referred to Ganymede like she was a person who commanded him. Did Knights actually have people to serve? -- He was glad he was a senshi, in that case. The last thing he wanted to do was serve someone else's desires. "Yeah, sure," Encke said, with a laugh. "My powers are plasma, my name is Sailor Encke." He knew it really wasn't immediately obvious what he was, but then, plasma wasn't really an obvious sphere, either. What colours would represent plasma, anyway? He supposed the colours he had made a lot of sense, but so would yellow and orange and really anything that could be found in space. Anyway-- "Nice to meet you, Venice of Ganymede. Why're you out tonight?"

Plasma...that was interesting, though he honestly couldn't remember just what plasma was. He'd look it up once he got home, so he could be at least somewhat familiar with what tit was, he didn't like the idea of being clueless. The range of spheres senshi could have really did seem rather unending, as he'd met or heard of many different spheres. Some he could understand but others...seemed a bit odd.
What could this senshi of plasma even do? Wasn't plasma used for cutting things? So did his magic cut into things? That could be useful if it was the case, really useful though also dangerous.
"Venice is fine, don't need the rest. Came out to patrol - nothing of chaos yet tonight." It had, thus far, been a fairly peaceful night which was good. He liked the nights he went home having had to do nothing, he didn't always want to jump into fights and put his life on the line...or his health.

Encke wouldn't deny that his abilities were dangerous. At the very least, they were capable of packing a bit of a punch. Or a shock, maybe. Maybe a burn. He chuckled when Venice said that "Venice is fine," but he didn't make further comment on it. He did focus on the lack of Chaos, though. "Yeah, I haven't noticed any of those agents either." He frowned. "Which is good, but I'm not sure if that just means they're up to something." There were a lot of them. How had he not managed to sense any of them yet? It wasn't the first time, no, but it didn't stop his brain from tumbling through other possibilities. Maybe they were in hiding, planning their next big event, or new location to lure people to. It didn't seem promising. Of course, it might have been promising. Maybe they had actually managed to beat their forces back, at least for the moment. "But that's paranoia. It's nice. Lets me focus on other things."

Not sensing any chaos could mean a lot, but he hadn't noticed an absence in them. He just wasn't sensing any tonight, he'd dealt with some of them recently. He wasn't too worried, though he was sure some members were always plotting things. It was just due to numbers that he figured that, plus everyone being an individual as well.
"Not paranoid if it might be true." And with the Negaverse, and this war, it very well might be true. Numbers, plus what they were involved in, said that it likely was the case in fact. "What do you focus on instead?" Somewhat curious as he glanced the other over.
he knew he'd been spending a lot of his own time with family, with working towards building his family a bit more, he had things he had to get done and he was slowly getting done. It also allowed him time to hit the gym and continue his hopkido lessons not to mention work, he was taking a break from school since he was so busy with other things which were more important at the moment.

Venice's statement may have just encouraged some of his paranoia. He wished he could know what the Negaverse was up to, so he could intercept them before they actually did anything. Encke had his theories, but those theories didn't necessarily get him anywhere except for glaring at newer establishments from afar. What did he focus on when it was quiet? That was a good question. "I go to my comet," said Encke, with a smile. He didn't need to add that he did that every two weeks anyway, whenever he could get the chance to go up, explore, learn new things, and make slow progress at recovering the world further. He had seen it start improving in time along with his own tweaks of it. That was exciting. "But when that's not an option, I train. Before you came up here, I had my eyes closed. I was trying to figure out if I could pinpoint exactly how close you were, and what you were?" Obviously Encke didn't get the 'of Ganymede' part (did different knights even have different feelings? he had no idea) but he thought he had done a pretty good job of figuring out Venice was a knight and also when his presence got very close to him. Venice talking stopped Encke from suddenly greeting Venice while he seemed to be sleeping, but-- "Means we're more prepared if any of those agents do show up, if we practice."

He could understand going to ones comet as he went to his wonder as often as he could, he was working on bringing things there to make it comfortable as well cleaning it up. It was a slow process, his wonder wasn't that small, but he was getting things done. The place would be nice, in time, and safer he hoped. The safety thing would take longer, since it required more things to be brought up to his wonder and some minor construction.
"Training is good. I do that also." Martial arts and the gym, he figured actual fights with the Negaverse weren't something you could always train for. There were a lot of factors to take into account, things you couldn't include in training.
"Yes, it does. But hard to train against weapons and teleporting." Those two things could really turn the tide in a fight, no matter how well trained they were. Those two things were big advantages really.

Hard to train against weapons and teleporting.Admittedly, he could see the point. There wasn't much he could do to factor for those agents just zapping themselves from one place to another. He didn't know of any Order senshi or knights with those abilities, and he wasn't about to ask an agent for a spar. He would rather just fight them as necessary. "Yeah, but we can still make ourselves more prepared." Encke, at this point, finally decided to get off the bench and stand up. He stretched, for a moment, bending down to reach to his toes. While his voice sounded strained, it didn't stop him from talking. "If we're better at what we can do, it'll help even if they can pull that nonsense. We can train our reflexes, for one." He swung his arms before pulling himself to a standing position. "Have you done that? Focused on training your reflexes?"

"That is all we can do. Wish for the best too." Because against teleporting reflexes were still not much help, since that was a rather instantaneous thing and hard to react to. It seemed that as soon as an officer was gone they were appearing somewhere else, he wished he could teleport if only to make things a bit more even.
Watching the senshi stand up and stretch, wondering what they were up to, he continued to give the other his attention. "I have some, martial arts." Which were good for that, although he was still new to martial arts, so it was more working on committing moves to memory and how to react to various situations. He wasn't Fai who had spent years training in martial arts, he didn't feel bad for any Negaverse officer who came against his senshi friend.
"You? How have you trained reflexes?"

At the very least, in Encke's opinion, having faster reflexes would at least help him respond to the teleportation a bit faster, as unfair as it could feel. If he could snap around faster when he suddenly heard noise behind him, it could save a life. "Martial arts is definitely a good idea. People who are good in those usually seem to be fairly fast." This time, he pulled his arms over his head, clasping his fingers together and pulling as a way to keep stretching. "Me? I keep myself flexible. Also I run a lot, do some free running too. And I do stunts?" He lowered his arms again, reflexing. "I think it'd also probably be a good idea to spar a bit with someone else, but usually we're so busy chasing down youma..." Learning to anticipate someone else's moves we're also a good part of training reflexes.

"Free...running?" That was something he'd never heard of. Was it a matter of not knowing the English term for something he actually knew, when talked about in his own native tongue? There were still plenty of words, terms, and phrases he didn't know the meaning of. It was something he was working on, as things came up, though he was sure there were books on American phrases and slang terms which he could pick up and read.
Watching the other bend and stretch and flex Venice shook his head for a moment. Was the other planning something? Why else would the senshi be moving around as they were.
"True...and I hear group meetings do not work well - dissolve into people arguing." At least that's what he'd heard, he can still remember hearing that at a knight gathering, and hearing it was more common with big group meetings. It wasn't conducive to training and learning...betting ones self.
"We can spar....now?" He offered after a moment.

"Parkour?" asked Encke, curious if any form of the phrasing sounded familiar to him. "Basically it's a form of running where you do a lot of jumping and climbing up things. It's very fluid. I enjoy doing it, at least." The senshi wasn't planning anything in particular, honestly just feeling like he needed to stretch. Sitting down too long made him feel stiff, even if it was just all in his head. Encke would rather keep moving. The idea of a spar fit right in with that. "Yeah, we could spar a bit." He shot a grin over at the Knight. "Can see if we can actually block each other. Let's try not to actually injure each other, though. Last thing we want to do is end up hurt if an agent actually shows up." Encke shifted, holding his arms up in a defensive position. "Would make us easy targets. But sparring is how we become less easy targets, eh?"
