 The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite, standing off to the side to monitor!
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.
OOC RULES:
- THIS FIRST BATTLE YOU WILL HAVE 96 HOURS (4 days) to complete because I am starting them early. The rest will be 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.

THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

Nambulite's heels clicked on the floor as he entered the battle room, his arms folded. He gave a keen, appraising look to his opponent, as well as anyone who just so happened to be spectating. Yeesh, this guy (...?) had him beat in the androgyny department. Amazing. It was to the point that they could probably get away with saying "yes" to "are you a guy or a girl?" Well, it didn't matter. He was here to put on a show, and he was going to put on a damn good one. A crooked, slightly nervous smile crossed his face. "Are you ready?" he asked, his tone occupying an awkward middle spot between taunting and asking. He tapped his fingers along his arm as he waited for the cue to start, if there would be one.

Larimar was already there, already waiting; they folded their arms across their chest and sized Nambulite up, apparently unimpressed. At least they didn't have heels, and at least they had a mockery of a weapon -- his uniform looked like it lent itself more to pinup than battle. Maybe that was just their bitterness talking. It probably was. They swallowed to lower their voice, first, and set their feet equidistant apart, hands falling to their sides. "Ready when you are."

What they meant by that wasn't quite what they said -- it was more 'ready right now', but 'ready when you are' always sounded better, not that they had anyone to impress (besides scattered spectators) (and Ashanite) (they grimaced, thinking about Ashanite, and tried not to think about him mid-battle). It wasn't like their weapon was of much use anyways, small as it was, dull as it was; they lobbed the scissors at Nambulite, face cool. HP: 20/20 Damage: 4 - 2 = 2

HP: 18/20 1 Damage to Larimar Maybe it showed just how inexperienced and clueless Nambulite was regarding the potential of even a Negaverse Lieutenant, but he didn't expect the other guy (???) to freaking lob a scissors at him. Yelping in a most ungainly manner, he pulled his hands up to guard his face and ended up taking a scratch on his hands. He glanced at the light wound, wrinkling his nose in disgust. It could have been so much worse, but now it was ON! Well, if this guy (...?) could throw their weapon at him, two could play at that game! Grunting in frustration, he pulled off his hairclip and chucked it at the other lieutenant. Maybe he could take an eye out if he got really lucky. Really, really, ridiculously impossibly lucky.

HP: 19/20 DMG: 1 This is ******** stupid. Neither of us are trained combatants. Their displeasure wasn't brought to voice; instead it sat half-comfortably at the back of their throat as the hairclip (a ******** hairclip? What was this, Dolce & Gabbana 2018?) skimmed by, scratching their face. "A hairclip? I've seen a lot of useless weapons, but that takes the cake."

HP: 17/20 6 Damage to Larimar Ha! He'd got a hit! Kind of, sort of, not really. The taunt made Nambulite laugh despite his irritation. "Well, I mean, it's true," he said. "Who the hell is responsible for making the weapons, anyway? Give us real stuff!" The laughing turned into a battle roar as, all of a sudden, he lunged at the other lieutenant. "A scissors?! At least your weapon is potentially useful! Mine is literally just decoration! It's not fair at all!" He was swinging wildly, and whether he would last a decent blow was anyone's guess.

HP: 13/20 DMG: 0 They were unprepared for Nambulite's charge and it showed; Larimar was knocked backwards, the heels of their boots squeaking from the sudden friction. It knocked some of the air out of them, a fist straight into their stomach - they didn't breathe amazingly in their uniform (it was a price they were more than willing to pay for an androgynous silhouette), and it took them a second to catch their breath. Breathe in, out, in, out. Their hat had jolted with the movement, now tilted over their face at a rakish angle. They didn't adjust it.

HP: 16/20 1 Damage to Larimar Nambulite gave a harsh cackle. "What's the matter? Don't you want to fix your hat? So much for being fashionable!" Well, there was no real reason to fix the hat, but who cared?

HP: 11/20 DMG: 8 - 2 = 6They clicked their tongue, irritated. "It's called intentional dishevelment." There was an easy answer to that in the short term, and Larimar had noticed the 'don't kill your opponents' was more of a strong suggestion, and - well. There were some options. But they were hardly a fighter ( god, please, make someone think I'm qualified enough to be a Captain, this toy is an embarrassment of a weapon) - not yet. So they closed quarters and brought their knee up between his legs, with an expression like they'd been dragged into an inconvenient situation and there were six more hours on the roadtrip yet.

Larimar might not have been a particularly talented fighter (if pressed, they would have expressed a massive preference for verbal sparring instead), but it seemed like they'd picked something up from watching Ashanite (and a number of the other bouts today, of course); and that something was how to hit as hard as their slim frame could manage. Or maybe they just had a lot of leg strength.
"The General didn't specify anything beyond no killing." They shrugged languidly, bringing their knee up again into his midsection; reasserting himself, wheezing, he'd bent forward.

HP: 4/20 0 Damage to Larimar! MISS! Grunting, Nambulite wheezed and clutched his injuries, feeling quite doomed. This was not his best showing, clearly. With a blind fury, he lunged forward and swung at Larimar, only to totally whiff. That only made him growl louder. It was a sort of futile attempt at intimidation.

Their claim of pretentious dishevelment came back to bite them -- Larimar had to take a moment off of attacking Nambulite when their hat tipped far enough over their face to hide their eyes. They scowled and repositioned it. Taking it off would have been easier, but they didn't want to, because they liked the hat.

HP: 4/10 2 Damage to Larimar Nambulite's grin grew lopsided. "Ha! Not so tough now, are you? Are you?" He was breathing heavy, doused in sweat, and totally unglamourous. Feeling a bit dizzy, he reached forward to give Larimar a swiping scratch. Then again, his nails were probably too manicured to do much damage.
