The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite, standing off to the side to monitor!

The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.

OOC RULES:

- THIS FIRST BATTLE YOU WILL HAVE 96 HOURS (4 days) to complete because I am starting them early. The rest will be 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.

- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.

- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.

- If you have any questions, please contact kuropeco through Discord or PM!

THE MECHANICS

Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!

Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)

( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )

Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!

The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

Picking his fingers, Vladimirite scoffed at fact the fight was to take place in a room. His weapon, (if one might even call it that), certainly hurt, but debris and the odd found object was what he was more accustomed to in a fight. Sure, hand to hand was... certainly something it wasn't really true to form when one considered just what they ha to fight- magical people who might or might not also have weapons.

Pulling the scabbard from his belt he held it over his shoulder. waiting for his opponent to ready themselves.

Paracelsian's heart was pounding in anticipation. He had signed up to test his fighting chops and improve himself if he could; he'd hoped he had come a bit further along from where he had started. Still, he wasn't much of a combat Lieutenant, preferring negotiation and only getting into a few scraps along the way. It made him wonder if he had to fight more, or something.

The cyan-haired Lieutenant stepped into the ring, politely doffing his cap. "Good old fashioned fisticuffs," he said softly. The other guy seemed to have his weapons out, but he'd come to realize how useless a tube of toothpaste really was. Much better to just get his hands dirty. A bit louder this time, he said, "May the best man win!" and assumed his fighting stance.

The other agent seemed to be of his own rank, which was good given Vladimirite was not hoping to have to fight someone more powerful and likely more trained than himself. That seemed like an all around bad idea.

"You seem to be forgetting what we were told already." He said, tapping the scabbard to the floor. "Use whatever we like. And I intend to put such things into practice." He was not a skilled fighter but, he hoped to at least prove he was not terrible.

May the best man win? A smirk formed on his face.
"I intend to."

20 HP
0 damage to Vladimirite! MISS!

Fair enough. This guy seemed to be on the ball, and that was well and good. However, Paracelsian had some stake in this battle, too. He wanted to do well and see the reactions. It probably wouldn't do anything to settle his odd misgivings, but it was worth a shot.

Paracelsian charged up to Vladimirite, not wanting to give his opponent the courtesy of a warning. However, when he got close, there was something off and hesitant in his swing, like he wasn't sure he wanted to hit this guy. It was true; the battle was making him a bit nervous. He was not the best fighter, and it was going to show. He hoped it wouldn't be grossly embarrassing.

HP: 20
DMG: -

The man seemed to be ready but as he approached, Vlarimirite got the feeling he was hesitating. It made sense, usually fighting your own asn't encouraged, and they knew nothing of each other's skills. Caution was a good route to take, but the newer agent felt that it was a bit lacking.
Hesitation and caution did not go hand in hand always, but as the punch failed to connect, Vladimirite sighed, stepping back to resume the distance between them.

He said nothing but tensed his pose. After a first failed strike, they would likely keep trying to push, testing each other's limits.

It would be a quick match he thought. Neither of them seemed all that eager to pummel each other past the point of sense. But, there were less than sane persons in this rather peculiar organization, Vladimirite mused. He would not be too shocked if the man turned out to be a crazed, blood lusting individual who sought out the pain of others. In fact, he guessed that most of those fighting in this little competition were probably like himself, seeking to test their own abilities, get in good with their superiors, or just had a penchant for violence and pain.

He did not want to think of just how badly some of the other matches were set to go. In fact, he assumed that quite a few of them would end in one party or another being sent to the hospital. After all, some of the weapons were far more than simple trinkets or toys, (on in his case solid metal and leather). Some officers had blade that could very well cut through people like butter. He shuddered at the thought, glad his opponent did not have such luck when it came to summoned objects. Still, he had to remain cautious. There was no telling what might occur.

HP: 20
DMG: 4

All right, a defensive fellow. Honestly, Paracelsian thought his opponent's willingness to step back was to his credit. It indicated patience and resolve, and he thought those were good traits. Still, he wasn't about to totally let his opponent get away with stalling him. He swung in with another bunch, this one intended as a body blow, more confident that his first attempt. He was going to perform in this fight, certainly.

There were medical aid stations set up around the fighting ring, along with bottles of water and snacks to keep up stamina and nutrition. Aurostibite stepped over, waving a red flag.

"Round one, complete," he said. "Well done, both of you."
