Sonja was, and never would be, someone to turn down a opportunity to have herself a good ol' fashioned brawl. No matter the opponent. Hell, she'd been pretty happy with taking a few punches from Nash in their own spar out of sheer enjoyment of the adrenaline the fight produce.
She missed the fights she used to finish back home.
And here she was again. Having entered herself into a tournament to keep herself spry for mission and to kill a little bit of her own boredom, facing down a friend among a grassy field. With her weapons already drawn, she rested each bladed of her chained tonfa's on her shoulders with a lazy smirk.
"Hope this don't break my chances of you inkin' my arm here, bud." She didn't figure it would but it would really suck to lose a good thing they had.
"But if it does, I'll make it up," She gave a quick wink before whipping her blades down to her sides and charging forward, aiming for the other's legs. She released one of her tonfa's to let the chain try and trip the other. "Promise!"

Dottie, who told herself she was only there to scope out her competition, came to stand beside Nash and tilted her head to the side. "Would you just look at that a**?" Scoping out the competition indeed.

Seren stood near Nash, on the other side of him from Dottie, and cheered, without naming anyone. She LIKED both of these battlers, so it was hard for her to pick a side, but she wanted them both to know she supported them. Dottie's comment earned a soft chuckle of appreciation.

The field was crisp with dew and the glow of the early morning - too early for Kai in his option. But it was cool, and the fog had already risen up to be just above them. Further off he could see a few people on benches calling out.
"Nah, I won't hold it against ya. You just won't get a discount." He said, seeing what looked like a odd kind of baton on a chain and frowning. Getting smacked with a club wasn't a great thing but it was way better than being shanked with a blade.
He summoned his own weapon, a very tiny trident, and wrapped his hand around the handle. Usually he would put his fingers around each point, but lately he was trying to handle it like a small pitchfork. Either way, he still felt ridiculous using it.
He felt her weapon dink against his side, and he tried to swipe, falling very short of his mark. "Ya got a whole mess of cheerleaders up there."

"Oops. Did I make it?" Tzei is late. As usual. And cold mornings, like almost everything else, make her sleepy. She drags herself into a bench, blanket still wrapped around herself, looking rather like a smallish burrito. "KAI! You can do it! Win! Actually, you're sun division, so death gets no bragging rights, but I like you! So win!" Thus speaks the burrito.

She retracted her unhanded tonfa before peering in the direction Kai was looking. Aww, she really did, didn't she? She couldn't have help the brimming smile that spread from cheek to cheek at seeing the rest of her closest buds coming out to watch her possibly get her butt whooped.
"Jus' keep yer eyes on the 'competition' back there, darlin'!" The comment was a lovely boost to her energy as she steady her stance to bring one blade across from her right side while keeping the other guarding her face. Never hurt to be a little cautious.
"Promise I'll put on a good show fer ya'!"

"I'm lookin. I'm lookin. Not going to break my neck looking away. You gotta look here too then."
He readied his own hit and moved in, using his own weight to send the miniature trident into her shield up against her side.

And that's what she got for getting distracted by Dottie being in the crowd. She had chanced a quick wave towards her and Nash before receiving the blow to her side. She half-stumbled to the side.
"Guess that'll teach me." She chuckled to herself.
"And usin' a discount against me, that ain't fair!" She whipped her tonfa's blades forward and jabbed one in the direction of Kai's shoulder. If she could just knock him off-balance...

"Use what I got." He said with a shrug before he stumbled back to the hit. For how small she was, her weapon hit hard, and he rubbed the spot where it hit.
"Don't take out a eye, kay?" He said, not wanting to get whacked in the face. He stepped forward, slowly, and jabbed out with the trident. HP: 27 Dmg: 2

Seren bounced on her heels, CHEERING excitedly. "GO KAI! GO SONJA! YOU BOTH ARE KICK a**! YOU GUYS CAN DO IT." If asked, she'd acknowledge that it probably sounded a little dumb, cheering on both opponents, but they were BOTH awesome people and she thought of both of them as her friend. As such, she was just happy to cheer for both sides.

"Hey, there ain't no way I'm wanting to damage those beauties." Didn't mean she wasn't going to try her damnedest to kick his butt.
She blocked with her arm and flinched at the impact.
"After this, I'll be buggin' ya' for a proper hang-out, darlin'." The corner of her mouth quirked up before she brought one of her blades up, aiming for his arm neck but had seemed to only barely graze the other.
