School was, well, school. Winter break had ended, so Toby had to go. It wasn't all bad, really... He'd mostly gotten over the horrible thoughts simply being there brought him for a while. At the end of the school day, he'd made is way over to the gym, to waste some time before some sports team or another kicked him out. He hadn't actually gotten around to getting involved in anything, as he happened to notice something unusual: A tree frog was clinging to the side of the bleachers! Naturally, he went right over to it, and murmured, "Hello...how did you end up here, little guy?" Very gently, he reached up and pulled it off the bleachers, reasoning that things would not end well for the little frog. He stood there for a few minutes, hunched over some, frog held in his hands. He was watching it move around slowly as he considered where to take it. Perhaps one of the science teachers could use a new class pet? He couldn't exactly put it outside. It was snowing. Or may be soon. It occurred to him that he probably looked a little odd standing where he was, not even holding a phone in his hands. But, oh well! xdeathxbyxlovex Toby standing there in a jacket, hunched over something in his hands. Maybe he's sick?? :O

Tzuyu closed her locker door. School had ended for the day. She didn't really have much to do for the rest of the day. She only had one issue to sort out and then she could rest. She had the day off today. All she had to do was talk to te gym teacher. How anyone can fail gym class was an odd notion to her and made no sense what so ever. As she walked into the gym she saw the bane of her existence. In the middle of the gym a long rope hanged from the ceiling, a bell at the very top. She glared at it. It was the reason she here in the first place. She closed here eyes and sighed. She just had to go and get this over and done with. As she stepped further inside the gym she noticed a student bent and hunched over by the bleachers. Her fist thought was he must be sick and throwing up. She then noticed him looking at his hands. Was he hurt? She quickly went on full alert. Tzuyu had taken some minor first aid classes and she knew CPR if it came to that. If he was bleeding she would need to find something to staunch the cut and put pressure on it. She did the only thing she could think of and til off her jacket. "Hey are you OK?" WC 237

Being fairly engrossed in watching (and gently poking with his finger) the little frog, Toby did not notice someone approaching from behind, so when she spoke, he jerked in surprise, and stood up straight. He turned, blinking, and blushed in mild embarrassment at his reaction. “Hmm? Yeah, I’m fine,” he said, recovering his senses and nodding lightly. “I just found this little frog on the bleachers, see?” he held out his hand, presenting the little thing. “Weird, right?” He looked up and around. “I wonder how it got here…? And at this time of year, too. Should be hibernating or something.” As he spoke, he did not pull his hand back. He clearly thought everybody should think the little frog in his hand was cool, or cute.

Ok. The good news? He was not hurt or sick in any kind of way. The bade news? He had a creatue, a small two eyed creature in his hands. Tzuyu took a step back. The first thought she had was "eww" Why was he holding it like that? Like he was not grossed out or anything. Whenever Tzuyu thought about any kind of creatue a dozen thoughts ran though her mind. What she was thinking at the moment was about warts. They carrer that right? All she can see in her mind was pictures of slime. Nasty gooey thick looking slime. Slime dripping from the frog. "Why are you holding it?" She wished her father was here. He always knew what to do with ceatures like that. He would tell her and her mom that its ok and that he being the man in the house will protect them and take cae of the problem. She would go and leave whatever room that the creature was in. Her father would take care of the problem. All Tzuyu knew was a tolet was involved. "It's ok. I will take care of it for you." Her father was not around and Tzuyu had to put on a brave face. The student probably didn't know about the dangers that the frog could bring. She turned and ran out the gym looking for the the janior's closet. She came back with a broom and a dust pan. "Just put it down and I will take care of it for you." She putted the dustpan down and lifted the broom up above her head. WC: 270

"Well, I--" Toby started, before the girl ran off. The hand holding the frog lowered slightly as he watched her quizzically. When she returned with a broom and dustpan, his brow was furrowed, and he started in a baffled tone, "Uhm...Wha?" He looked up at the broom, down at the dustpan, and then gently put his other hand on top of the frog and pulled it close. "What? No!" Toby shook his head quickly. "He doesn't need that kind of... 'taking care of'!" He lifted the covering hand briefly to show it. "Look how cute it is! You wanna kill it? That's mean!" he sounded more horrified than anything, his voice tinged with worry. "C'mon, put the broom down, I'll show you why he's cool if you promise not to...smash the poor frog."

Tzuyu was ready. Ready for way. She felt like a knight of some sort about to go up against a dragon. The dragon in question was a small "harmless" frog. As Tzuyu raised the broom over her head she stopped and noticed the way the student was holding the frog. He was holding it in a protective hold. She slowly lowered the broom. Then he started to say something about how cute it was. She looked down at his hand and took a step back. Cute? Tzuyu couldn't fathom how that could be possible. She couldn't process the thought. She looked at the small creature and all she saw in her head was this slimy gross looking animal. "Cool?.... " She couldn't see anything cool or cute about them. She felt like it was looking at her with it's little beady eyes. "They have slime and warts and other icky things." She took another step back. Inside she was semi shutting down. A million things was running though her mind. "I wasn't going to kill it per say. Maybe just knock him out and let him take a little trip.... A trip faraway." WC: 193

Toby’s expression as he watched the girl was a mixture of incredulity and amusement, though his hands still cupped the frog protectively. He stepped toward her as she backed up, although careful to not approach uncomfortably close. To him, anyway. Perhaps the presence of the frog in his hand made any distance too close? Either way, he smiled at her description of the frog. “Nahh, warts are on toads and some bigger frogs,” he said, and showed it again, carefully. It was a fairly small thing, with a body only a bit more than an inch long (plus legs, naturally), vibrantly green in color and completely smooth. “Though, I guess it is a bit slimy…it’s not like it’s leaving stuff everywhere, see?” He extended his hand forward, showing the frog. “This is a tree frog, so it can’t be leaving too much stuff around.” He nodded at his own remembering. “It’s not gonna hurt you, or jump on you or something,” he added gently. He had been moving his hands around so that when the frog moved it stayed on them, but it hadn’t gone flying off anywhere so far, at least.

When he said that warts were on toads and on some larger frogs Tzuyu stopped walking backwards and felt a little better. The frog was small. Tzuyu looked a little closer at it, there didn't seem to be any slimy or gooey stuff. She looked up at the boy he seemed to know a lot about frogs. This was no way a good start for Tzuyu if she wasted to make friends. "A tree frog?" She tried to lift her hands up for a handshake. It was shaking a tad bit. "I'm Tzuyu. I am new here." As she lifted her hand she kept her eyes on the frog. He said it wouldn't jump at her but she was not taking any chances. ((WC: 123))

"Yup!" he nodded. "Tree frog!" As she held out her hand to shake, he got the idea that he shouldn't offer the frog, so made sure it made its way to his left hand, then gently grasped her hand in his right. "Nice to meet ya, Tzuyu!" he said happily. "I'm Toby! I'm...well, I guess not new anymore, but I really haven't been here very long, all told." He nodded some. "And, uh, sorry about scaring you with the frog," he added. "It's just so strange that it's even here, and not hibernating..." He shrugged, moving his left hand slightly as the frog took a few steps along it. "Anyway, uh, new, huh? Where'd you move here from?" xdeathxbyxlovex All good. smile It happens!

Tzuyu shakes Tony' s hand. "It's nice to meet you. I moved here from up north. My parents wanted to open a Bed and Breakfast. And they thought Destiny City was a good place to do so. Tzuyu looked at Tony then the frog. It's OK. No problem. I can be a fraud cat sometimes. Getting afraid of a little ol frog. Sometimes get scared of my own shadow. You say he is not suppose to be here? It is very cold outside, maybe he probably was looking for a warm place. Tzuyu shivered even though it was not cold in the gym. She had almost forgot her jacket. “They usually hibernate. But maybe,” Toby paused and looked around, as if looking for something, “somehow there’s some frogs living in here all the time? I dunno.” He shrugged then and smiled once more. “I think I’ll keep him. I’ve got an old fish tank without any fish in it, could set up a little place there…just gotta get him home without freezing. Shouldn’t be too hard, I think.” He nodded once, then shrugged. “Or I guess I could take it to my science teacher…she’s got a couple of animals in her room.” “Anyway!” he declared, letting the frog move around on his hand. “A bed and breakfast, huh? That’s cool…My mom’s a TV producer, she got a job at one of the news stations here. It’s been, uhm… interesting so far. Moved here near the start of the school year.”

Tzuyu smiled Toby. 'Yes a Bed and Breakfast. So far they have had a few people come and stay. They are hoping to get more people. We are currently doing renovations to make more rooms." "If you need any help of any kind with the little fellow I can try and help. I am really over my fear of little creatures like him, but I will try and help in any way that I can. And now looking at him, he does seem kinda cute... Do you have any other animals? I only have a rabbit." Tzuyu hoped she was not getting in any his business or making him feel uncomfortable in any way. "Your mother is a TV producer? Cool. I would rather work backstage on TV then on camera. Has she produced any shows currently on screen?

“That’s cool,” Toby said with a grin and a nod. “I’ll bet it’s weird having different people staying around every day…but hey, I’ll bet you can learn about a lotta places that way.” “My mom’s job is, uhm, well, I don’t really know, exactly,” he admitted, “But I know she’s one of the people behind the camera on the news, making sure the right news stories are being read and stuff. Or displaying the right segments?” He shrugged. “I mean, it’s definitely cool she works in TV, but it’s been a while since I really actually got to see what she did.” On the topic of pets, he considered a moment before replying, “I think I’ll be okay. I don’t have any pets right now, but I think my parents have an old fish tank somewhere I can put this little guy in…though I’ll probably let him go once it gets warmer outside.” “Anyway,” Toby said airily, “I think it’s about time to go home. It was nice to meet ya, Tsuyu! Tolin Kalin Thanks for rping with me!!! I hope to meet Toby again!! Tzuyu smiled at Toby. "Well I should be getting back to looking for the gym teacher. Thank you for helping me kinda understand about frogs. I am not saying I'm not entirely not scared or grossed out, but I will definitely think about you and try not to be. I am a girl so you can't blame me for being. I hope you find a nice place for him."
