Schooling was important to Zach and she was going to make sure he got the time he needed to do what he needed to get into the college he wanted. And though she knew Itsuki and Zach cared a great deal for each other, Itsuki could push Zach's buttons and that didn't help with the stress the young man felt. So she took it upon herself to keep said mau looked after and in control, much like a mother.

"Mmm, I didn't actually! I was going to get something after patrol finished." Which would probably work out for the mau, maybe they'd hit up a food stand or something on the way home. "Though you do know that it's not a big deal if you want something a bit costly, right? I can easily pay for it."

Though now that she thought about it, would it be uncomfortable for the mau to eat someplace a little pricey? She knew Zach couldn't afford much, and wouldn't allow her to chip in on food money even for Itsuki, so would that affect Itsuki's choice in eating out?

So lost in thought on the matter she hadn't even noticed that Itsuki had gone silent until he was calling out to her. Jumping in surprise, Lacrimosa moved to see what had excited her cat-son so much. A civilian??

"That young lady with the blue hair?" she asked, peering down and trying to determine who he was looking at exactly. "What about her?"

Why would he be interested in a civilian? It wasn't like he could tell she was a senshi without her being powered up, right? Oh.

"Oh! She can be awakened, right?" No hesitation as she scooped up the cat and moved to jump from the roof. "Let's see if we can't get her attention."

It was an opportune moment, really, given that Caitlin’s route home was a bit more secluded than one of the main thoroughfares through the city. Itsuki and Lacrimosa could have an important conversation without as much risk of interruption.

Itsuki wiggled happily in Lacrimosa’s arms, the energy of Hypatia’s unawakened starseed gleaming crisp and white and wholesome in her body. It was brilliant, despite her inability to see it just yet. “Gomen nasai~!” he started, hopping from the senshi’s arms to stretch and bow before the soon-to-be-senshi. “Watashi wa Itsuki desu~ And this is Lacrimosa~! I couldn’t help but see your beautiful starseed from up on the roof~ It’s my job to find people with beautiful starseeds, just like you! Miss, would you want to help save the people of Destiny City like Lacrimosa-san does~?”

Best to ask permission before suddenly granting someone magical powers. Even though he’d done a few awakenings himself, Itsuki learned with each one.

“Lacrimosa-san is a beautiful, strong and kind senshi~ She helps save the people of Destiny City~ And you have the power to be just the same! If you want, of course. Oh! And… gomen. It’s pretty weird to talk to a cat that can talk back, isn’t it?”

Briefly, Caitlin entertained the notion that she was actually having a particularly vivid dream.

Let's be honest, she decided immediately. This isn't even the weirdest thing I've seen around town.. She was still, admittedly, a bit nonplussed by the sudden appearance in front of her, but she wasn't disbelieving of it. Okay, a talking cat. Just an average Sunday in Destiny City.

Of course, it wasn't just a talking cat. It was a cute talking cat. And it (he probably, she decided) was...offering her...power? A small smile crept on her face. Her gaze shifted to Lacrimosa briefly, then back down to Itsuki before she spoke, "Honestly, a talking cat seems almost normal for DC." It was a statement meant to give her time to collect her thoughts a little better.

She shook her head slightly, a bit of a baffled smile on her face. "You're gonna have to explain what you're talking about, though, uh...Itsuki?" She didn't understand Japanese at all, so she was guessing the name from what Lacrimosa said. "What's a starseed? And what do you mean save people? Are you talking about, uh," she paused, considering the best way to put it, "Dealing with those monsters that show up sometimes, and, uhm...whatever that weird gang war thing is?"

She wasn't really opposed to the idea of saving people, but Caitlin did not have a conception of what exactly a senshi was, so she hesitated to agree.

"We are what is called Sailor Senshi, which I believe translates into Sailor Warrior?" A quick glance down to the cat almost as if to make sure she was using the right translation. "As a Sailor Senshi it is our duty to protect this planet from those that would seek to harm it. Or that's how I've come to understand it. Order versus Chaos."

She didn't want to possibly scare the young woman with talk of war, even though that's what it was. But was putting it so lightly fair to the young woman?

"In order to fight these monsters and these agents of Chaos, the Negaverse, we use the power that resides in our starseeds which is what makes us Sailor Senshi. As Sailor Lacrimosa I use the power of cherry blossoms in order to fight." A small, nervous look. "Which, admittedly, doesn't do for much but as a distraction tactic but that doesn't mean I'm useless."

Even if she felt that way.

"There are plenty of other senshi in this fight as well, some good some bad, but there is always some one willing to help you. From going on patrol to learning how to fight or defend yourself. You can even visit the planet that gives you your powers as... Hypatia?" Brown peered down at the cat. "Is that what you called her?"

"Hai! Sailor Warrior!" chirped the cat, sitting on his hind legs to move his paws like a human might with their hands while speaking. "Caitlin-san, thank you for agreeing to this! Lacri-san and I will do our best to train you and keep you safe! okay, time for my part!"

Itsuki dropped to all fours and shook his furr, fluffing himself up in preparation for the customary Mauvian Backflip of Majesty. "Ichi, ni, san!" he counted, springing into the air in an impressive backflip. While it was completely unnecessary to produce the henshin pen Caitlin would need to transform, it looked really cool and that's all that really mattered anyway. At the apex of the arc, sparkling lilac magic coalesced into a solid form - a pen-like object - colored with sea and sand. Itsuki dropped to the ground to catch it in his mouth, walking to Caitlin's feet and placing it before her with a customary kitty bow.

"This is your henshin pen!" he explained, sitting back again on his hind legs to gesture with his front paws. "Henshin means to change or transform, and this is the item you use to become Sailor Hypatia, Senshi of the Reef! Try it! We'll make sure no one sees you. Just say, Hypatia Power, Make Up! Lacri-san has a pen similar to that~ All Senshi have a pen~"

Now to sit back and watch the first transformation of the Soldier of the Reef. Itsuki had seen this several times, but perhaps this would be Lacrimosa's first?

"Domo arigato for your patience, Lacri-san~"

Caitlin didn’t really know what she was expecting to see, but she was still a bit surprised by the backflip and materializing…pen thing. She managed to only express her surprise with raised eyebrows, and a small, “huh.” Once the pen was presented at her feet, she gave the cat a small smile. “Thank you,” she said as she bent down and picked it up. She nodded to Lacrimosa as she stood back up. “I’m sure,” she said with a small smile, “I will have a lot to learn, so any help will be appreciated.”

She turned the pen over in her hands a few times curiously. “It’s…not subtle, is it?” she commented. “So, alright. Here goes.” She gripped it tightly, having no real idea what was about to happen, and intoned the words: “Hypatia power, make up!”

What followed was more than a bit disorienting, but unquestionably pretty incredible. Light and energy swirled around her, and she felt her clothing change—she all at once was feeling much less practically dressed. Although, as she stood in sudden heels and short skirt, Hypatia did not feel as cold as she might have expected to be.

“Well. That was…different,” she said softly, looking down at her outfit. A hand lightly touched the coral lattice on her shoulders. “Definitely screams ‘oceans’,” she concluded after a moment.

"It looks really good on you though," Lacrimosa complimented, a sweet smile on her face. "It makes me wonder what it is your powers can do."

What kind of abilities did a Senshi of the Reefs have anyway? It seemed a little more broad then something like Cherry Blossoms in any case. Though perhaps a bit more telling then Themi's being the Senshi of the Lost.

As Itsuki took to bouncing around, Lacrimosa laughed softly, not bothering to hide it. There wasn't much of a point in doing so. She did wonder though... did he get this excited with every senshi he awakened? Ah, that seemed like a rather dumb question now that she thought about it.

"You only say that because you're biased," she teasingly admonished the guardian cat, smile growing a little more playful. Having Itsuki and Themisto in her live had certainly helped her open up just a little more. "But I would love to help in anyway I can."

A glance to the newly awakened Hypatia. "Though you do have food that's getting cold... Sorry for our interuption into your meal. I don't know if you wish to continue lessons here and now or perhaps move some place better suited to allowing you to eat while we discuss things?" Or she could even discuss things with her another day.

"Since it was our intrusion, I leave it all up to you." A glance to the cat. "Unless you have a better idea, Itsuki?"
