Name: Jacques Lécuyer

Nickname: Jack

Age: 18

Birthday: 3/28

Sign: Aries

Gemstone: Aquamarine

Blood Type: O+

Fav. Food: Crepes of all sorts. He'll probably eat the whole plate of them before anyone realizes they are there.

Hated Food: Greasy fast food. He can tolerate some take-out foods like Chinese, but don't expect him to eat burgers or fries.

School: Destiny City University (College, accepts all ages) - Double Majors Biology and Geology

Hobbies:
Ceramics - It's surprising to some, but Jacques likes to do ceramics and can often be seen in a studio in the city making his own collection. He isn't rich enough to collect antiques, so he likes to put that want into something he can actually make, and ceramics are fun enough to do. At least if one messes up during the wet-shaping process it can still be fixed! Whenever he had electives that he could take in high school and non-major electives in college, he took and will take them. He also loves how the different types of earthly materials are used to make the coloring for the pieces as well, and eagerly awaits seeing how his mixes will turn out when testing them. Sometimes he sells his wares at the local market, and at the local Ren Fest, though in the latter he typically dresses up a bit more.

Interior Decorating - Also surprising coming from a guy like him, but sure enough he'll help those out who want his advice on how to fancy up their apartment a bit! Or theme it in a certain way when they're on a budget! Sometimes he'll even make special ceramic pieces for them to go with the them or style of the apartment at a small discount (no, he doesn't take "exposure" ). Though if there's one thing he tells everyone, the first step to a good looking apartment is a clean one, and then getting stuff that you actually like with a budget.

Painting - Though this one mostly goes with his ceramics, but he does like to test out patterns and such on paper or canvas first before putting it on a piece of actual ceramics. Often he'll get ideas wandering outside or through public gardens and such. Or sometimes he'll even get ideas from watching others do things such as playing video games or reading books. That dragon-themed vase came out pretty well, at least from his perspective.

Virtues:
Ambitious - Jacques has a very strong desire to succeed in everything he does. He knows that there will be setbacks, sometimes mistakes, other things he just won't be good at, but he won't stop until he has made sure that he's tried his best or when he finally makes it because he knew all along that he could do it. If he has to work with others, he'll try his very best to make them want to succeed as well. It's such a great feeling after all!

Charming - To succeed in this world he knows he can't do it on looks alone, and he knows that turning up the charm can help things quite a bit. Who can say no to him when he's just so pleasant and attractive? Usually this is only something he uses on the ladies, but he can work wonders on the men too in terms of being pleasant. He can easily make friends and connections through his charm.

Flaws:
Won't let anyone get in my way - Since he is very ambitious, then he isn't going to let anyone get in the way of it. Is there someone who's not working on the group project as much as they should? We'll he'll do their part, though he will mention it to the teacher. If he feels that someone is holding him back on going forward, then he will do whatever he can to get them out of the way.

Arrogant - He often can be found to be most like this when talking about his ceramic pieces of his interior decorating skills. He "knows" that he's the one everyone comes to, that everyone eventually finds themselves asking for advice for and acts as though everyone else already knows it.

BUT those are just suggestions, honestly, if you just have an idea for an outfit you think would look good/royal, then I would love it. But you don't have to actually do 17th century aristocracy styles for outfits.

HOWEVER, they need to look different from this or this senshi lest I be accused of copying. If you have other ideas for outfits, that is fine. Just make sure they don't look the same! I've been accused of copying before, I don't want it to happen again.

Your MAIN COLOUR should dominate. Your SECOND COLOUR should be used for trimming.

Attacks:
Sailor Scout Attack: Behold my Splendor
With this attack, Versailles says the name and snaps his finger and a brilliant light shines down on him. A target within a 5 foot radius is dazzled by his splendor and suddenly confused as to who they are and who their allies and enemies may be. They feel no urge to attack. Lasts 15 seconds. Can be used three times in battle.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Share the Splendor
With this attack, Versailles snaps his finger and let's off a brilliant light shines down on his opponent. A target within a 10 foot radius is suddenly put in fine jewels, gems, and/or other things that would make the target feel splendor and would distract them. Lasts 25 seconds. Can be used twice in battle.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Surrounded by Splendor
Versailles bows and suddenly those within 15 feet would suddenly see themselves surrounded by their version of "splendor", whether that is a palace full of jewels, Scrooge McDuck's money vault, the deck of the Enterprise, etc. and feel no need to attack for 30 seconds. Can only be used once.

Afternoon, Bros!

It looks like you're off to a great start with all of the information that you've gathered together for your quest, but before I can drop off a trial stamp there are a few things I'd like to discuss!

For the civ side of things, let's take a look at his flaws:

Ambitious - You start out pretty strong with this trait, but the last sentence takes away the negativity that makes it a flaw. Assuming that asking them politely or encouraging them to do better isn't an option to get them out of his way... He won't murder, won't do anything illegal, but what would he do? Would Jacques sabotage people? Even his friends? What is it about Jacques that makes his ambition negative? What about this has the potential to make his friends resent him or turn people away from him?

Arrogant - I believe you're limiting yourself with this flaw if Jacques is only arrogant about what he can do. You've stated that his arrogance is harmless, but if it is harmless than why might others think less of him for it? Is Jacques the sort of guy who needs praise for his work or does he simply know that he and his work are the best and he's just waiting for everyone else to catch up and come to that realization too?

Helping us see how other characters may view these traits as flaws will really help us get an idea as to how it might negatively impact him and his interactions with others along the way, so any additional information that you can provide on how his flaws might turn a character off from wanting to be around him all of the time would be super helpful!

For the senshi side of things:

Splendor is such a grand sphere that you might be selling yourself short in regards to your attacks and I think it's important that we work together to differentiate Splendor from Radiance, who is currently in play as one of the Zodiac Senshi.

While focusing on the splendor of Versailles himself for his basic attack is just fine, what would you think of having a light wash over him like a spotlight at the snap of his fingers, making him the center of attention?

For his second attack you could build on that as you already have, but you could also broaden it. For instance, if his opponents were distracted by the appearance of fine jewels, gems and things (anything that might make them feel as though they're bathed in Splendor, really) on themselves it would leave him free to attack instead of forcing him into a situation where he would have to draw their attention personally. The last thing you want to do, unless you intend for him to be a support character for a team, is limit the way you're able to react during battle situations and we want to make sure you get the most out of your character!

His eternal attack seems to be where most of the overlap is with Radiance:

Leo - Radiant Light
Leo makes himself too dazzlingly bright for anyone else to bear -- this unfortunately can have friendly fire effects, but he suddenly emits radiant light from all over his body. This can suck if you're busy melee fighting him and are blinded. Lasts for a minute.

That being the case, what ways, other than a display of light, can you think of that might help signify Splendor? One of the first dictionary definitions is 'brilliant or gorgeous appearance, coloring, etc'; magnificence, with another good one being 'an instance or display of imposing pomp or grandeur'. Does that bring anything specific to mind for you that we might be able to build off of in order to restructure his eternal attack? I am here to help you with this and will do anything I can to keep things rolling for you!

Also typically senshi attacks work a little like a count-down according to cannon-- 3 attacks at Basic, 2 at Super and finishing up with 1 grand finale at Eternal.

Feel free to quote me with any comments or questions that you might have. I'm here to bounce ideas and help you in any way that I can. Once we've got this taken care of I'll be happy to provide you with a trial stamp!

Hey, Bros!

This profile looks good to me so I’m going to drop a stamp, but I just wanted to give you one quick note! This isn’t something that is going to affect the stamp, it’s just something you can consider when you are setting up the journal. Mostly, the attack durations are really short for a Senshi, so I wanted to propose that—if you wanted—you could up the durations from 15 seconds and basic to 25, the 25 seconds of super to 35, and the 30 seconds of eternal to 45. If you choose to make this change, just plug them into the journal when you set it up, but don’t feel pressured to do that if you like your attacks where they are!

Have fun!
