Quote: Heavy snow had plagued Destiny City for a few days and it seemed to take ages for the clouds to clear. When they finally thinned, there was something more surprising than just the night sky: a glorious display of colorful light danced over Destiny City. A myriad of colors paint the sky, twisting colorfully. Auroras are uncommon in this area, but it’s something unique to see. Of course, ‘unique’ in Destiny City isn’t always a good thing…
Winter was always one of the worse times when it came to patrols. Sharp gales of cold wind cut through Cadmus like a knife, chilling him to the core. Yet, duty called, and he wasn't one to go against routine.
Trudging through the thick blankets of snow across the rooftops took a lot out of the eternal. While it did cushion his falls from stumbles, it did little to keep him warm. The right side of his face was numb from how many times he's become acquainted with the snow. Pushing himself up from one of those falls with a groan, Cadmus sighed, and wished he had brought his coat along.
Foresight, Cadmus thought, is definitely something I lack...
Just before Cadmus was going to wax thoughtfully as to why the cosmic weavers didn't consider turning eternal buttwings into something, like, an eternal puffy coat or something, a waft of light pulled his attention to the sky. His mouth dropped in awe as the darkness was overcome by shifting striations of blue, green, purple. While the beauty had caught him, his stomach shifted nervously, provoking him to his feet. While downright pretty, it was also suspicious...
Deciding to take a closer took, Cadmus made his way downtown and to the belltower he used to frequent when a chibi. He'd all but abandoned the place now that his patrol route had changed, but it was the best place to see the auroras up close. Jumping up to the steeple, the eternal clasped the pole and peered at the dancing lights.
"The heck is going on...?" he muttered beneath his breath, confused.

Winter was one of Mimosa's favorite times of the year. She liked the bright white snow and the crisp cold air. Something about the season really made her happy too because it meant she saw her parents a little more then normal AND Uncle Hurst took her out more and she got gifts.
Especially cause her birthday was actually Christmas so it made double-y amazing. As such though, the girl had no problem going out in the cold! She wore her bright puffy white jacket, and did her best to stay warm in the cold since her outfit didn't really...suit winter needs.
A hand came out, shielding her eyes as she peered around the buildings for anything BAD but ended up seeing a treat instead! Clouds started to part and she could see something lighting up the sky. Since she was low levelled, she jumped up higher, using the super powers she had until she was right on top of a bell tower where a blinding aura hit her. Once she saw who it was though, her face brightened.
"Cadmus?" The girl waved, and slipped at little before righting herself, "Hi! Do you remember me?" She smiled at him and then her head tilted up...fur..further then it had before. Had...had he gotten taller? She adjusted her jacket before looking up to the sky again. "Um, It's super pretty, isn't it?"

Cadmus slipped a little as well, but his hand tightened on the pole, preventing what seemed like the teen's imminent death. Honestly, beyond foresight, he also had to stop getting spooked whenever someone said his name. Then again, he never expected company even when the chance of running into another when on patrols was relatively high.
He shifted his chin over his shoulder, turning carefully on his heel, and considered the person in front of him. Apparently... she knew him? His eyes squinted in thought, trying to match the face to a name, and when something dinged a small smile spread on his face.
"Mimosa!" he cried, a little too jollily. "I do! It's been, like, forever since I've seen you! Hey!" Little reminders of his time as a chibi always seemed to warm his disposition. He followed the chibi's line of sight and nodded. "Yea, it is! But.. I dunno, kinda suspicious too, yea?" He tilted his head. "I mean, auroras don't happen in cities like this. At least... I don't think they happen in cities like this. But nothing's happened yet, so I'm not too worried."

Since Cadmus had been her first friend during her chibi life (which she was still living) she would've been heart broken if he hadn't remembered her. Understanding but still heartbroken. As he said her name though, relief shot through the little girls body and she relaxed, coming closer so she could also hold the pole for steadiness. Walking in heels, even little chibi ones in snowy rooftops was so hard.
"Sorry!" She said sheepishly, running a hand through the bottom part of her hair nervously. "School and stuff...I started middle school so, you know..." She tried to shrug but her face fell. "I didn't mean to not be friendly or anything. Or...or forget powered up stuff you know?"
She looked back at his face though as he said something about the Aurora's being a concern and then thought hard about it. "I...I guess they only happen in places like the north pole...right?" She hesitated, "Do you think something would happen?" She crossed her arms, thinking long and hard about it. "Like...like...the bad guys set it up for um...distraction or something?"
Her uncle would say that it would be a perfect plan. Pretty AND deadly!

Cadmus felt inclined to wave both of his hands dismissively, but settled on one with his grip tightening on the pole. He fretted under her apologies with his own, clearly embarrassed by his lack of, again, foresight. "N-no! No, it's okay! I mean, I should be apologizing, too!" the teen said, two moments away from dancing on antsy feet. He dropped down to his haunches instead to steady himself, at eye level to Mimosa. "I mean, it's the same for me too, y'know? I started high school, and things got busy, and I was never one to keep contact 'cause I suck at it, and I feel awful, and I really wish I did! Really! But life sucks and... Yea..."
Internally rebuking himself for rambling, Cadmus swallowed thickly, and followed the current topic at hand. Auroras. Right. Talk about the auroras...
The eternal nodded his head. "Yea, I think so. So that's why it's so weird happening in the city. Unless there is a city in the north pole, which I guess there is, but... Well, you get what I mean." He clutched his chin between forefinger and thumb. "That could be a thing they're doing. Like, "Ooh, look at these shiny lights while we drain your energy," or something." Cadmus twiddled his fingers for added effect. "Or it could be a sign something's coming. I dunno, though. It's just strange."

There had to be a better way to stay connected though? If he was busy with high school, gosh she felt so young now compared to him, she was barely even in middle school! But...But there had to be a better way to stay in contact. As she thought of it, her body acted on her own and when he reached the eye level with her, she snapped her fingers.
"The...The Senshi phones!" She did blush a little because his eyes were level with hers and she was not very good with eye contact from other people. "Do..Do you mind if I take a picture? A guardian cat told me once...if you take a picture, it saves your contact information! Maybe...if we happen to be out on patrol?" She summoned the phone from subspace, the bright white cell popping out. "If that's okay and stuff, I mean I don't wanna bug you either!"
Her eyes blinked just a little. "Yeah! I mean we gotta be on the um..." She tapped her finger and tried to think of word, "Um my uncle would say it. We gotta be on the defense! Just in case stuff happens you know?" She waited for a second before noticing that he had...wings. "You have wings...." and with no delicacy at all, "On your butt?"

Cadmus suddenly nodded his head vigorously. Right! Of course! The senshi phones! Why hadn't he thought of that before?
Right, right. Foresight. I don't need to remind myself again of what I am LACKING...
Still, he was awfully glad Mimosa had brought up the notion, and agreed to it. "Sure, go right ahead," Cadmus said, shifting himself a little better on the steeple. He waved his hand and summoned his own; the red device materializing and plopping into his open palm. He then held his attention on the chibi, cracking a wide smile while awaiting the flash of a camera, but his smile waned in embarrassment come her mention of his buttwings.
He flushed a little bit and glanced at the gigantic appendages with a chagrin. "Yea, apparently you get them when you become an eternal," he said with a sigh. "They're, like, the worst things ever. You can't even fly with them. They just suck. You'll get them too when you become an eternal, too." His smile widened again into a playful grin. "Who knows, they might end up being bigger than mine."

She went straight to the camera, taking a picture of the cranberry senshi and smiling as he popped up with all his information and stuff. That was really neat what the cats did for them! She thought it was cooler then her NORMAL phone stuff!
She noticed his face change though and pocketed the phone back into subspace, watching it carefully in case she said something to offend him. He didn't seem upset though and was quick to explain his lovely things attached to his...uh...butt.
"Oh, well, I guess...maybe it makes sense?" But after hearing that you couldn't fly with the wings, her face fell a little in disappointment. They looked pretty, and she was sure Cadmus wouldn't want to hear that she though they were pretty, but not flying kind of sucked. "I don't want bigger ones if they are in the way." Her face filled with a bit of horror. "But they are um...cut...cute?" She looked at him and then away, "I'd be happy to power up though, since I am just....low leveled and stuff!" She looked back up to the sky, "Well...I guess we can come back another night and see if the Aurora is doing something?" She offered, "Since...Since we can contact and stuff!"

Cadmus's capture of her was a little more clumsy; taken at an avant-garde Dutch angle with obvious motion blur. Nevertheless, despite the quality, Mimosa's information registered in his phone, and he returned it to his subspace with a little relief. At least he had a means of contacting his friend this time.
He laughed lightly at her reaction to bigger wings, shrugging a shoulder at the mention of "cute." One could consider them a badge of some sorts for making it that far as a senshi, though Cadmus did have a few choice words for whoever's idea it was. Something cooler would've been better. Like... a helmet or something.
"Sure!" Cadmus said, smiling. "Anytime you wanna, you can get in touch. I definitely have to look into the aurora... Oh! But you can contact me for anything, really. Like, I can help you get stronger and stuff. If you're looking for a few pointers"—Cadmus puffed out his chest—"then I'm your guy!"

Mimosa clapped her hands and then smiled. "Okay! We can um...." Her uncle and Uncle Sergei said the word a lot, "Reconvene! Later!" She adjusted her jacket and then slid a bit down the rooftop.
"Okay, wow, that'd be awesome, I'll do that!" She waved as she started to leap away. "I'll text you if anything weird happens or if you want to patrol or something okay!" The girl was off though, smiling a bit more brightly.
Now she had a friend to contact about stuff too.
