Free sample of fruit cake? Cass wasn't really that into fruit cake. Wasn't something that she would tell people she liked. But free was free. Cass went into the strange store and walked up to the front where the samples were. The store was empty and there was no one around. But she felt like she was being watched. A strange feeling was washing over her. She took one of the fruitcakes and examined them. They looked alright to her. She turned them over and over in her hand. It looked like a normal fruit cake Nothing seemed to be wrong with it. She brought it to her nose and smelled. It actually smelled quite good! Cass took a tiny bite out of it. It was heavenly. She couldn't describe the taste of it but it was the bestest thing that she has ever tasted in her life. She threw the other half in her mouth. She looked around and saw that there was no one around and started to take up a whole handful of them and throwing them in her mouth. Before she knew it she devoured all the samples. She slowly walked backwards and made it to the front door. She opened the door and ran out of the store. She would return another time and see if they still had more of the samples.

She went home and started to watch some TV. She fell asleep and work up an hour later feeling queasy. "Maybe I shouldn't have eaten all those samples." She was hyper aware of everything. colors were brighter, music started to sound better. Even The Justin Bieber song that was playing on the radio sounded good.

The fact that Justin's music was starting to sound good was making Cass uncomfortable. She didn't know what to do. "I feel like.... I CAN'T describe the feeling." Cass thought about what she should do. What happened to lead up to this? She thought of everything that she did in the last 24hrs. She even wrote down a list of everything she had eaten.

She kept going back to the fruitcake she had. It was the only thing that she hadn't eaten before. All the other things she had. She started pacing back and forth and thought about what she should do. While it was kind of cool what she was expecting the downside is that first of all crapy music is started to sound good to her. Nope she was not having that. The Justin Bieber music was making her want to get up and dance and sing along to it.

The second thing is that everything is so too much bright. She couldn't take the brightness. She just wanted things to go back to normal. She got up with the intent to go back to the shop and see if they could do something about it. When she started to feel dizzy. She sat back down. The music started to not sound as good as it did before. It now started to sound like noise. Light started to be way too bright she tried to close her eyes but that didn't work. Smells were too overwhelming for her. The candle that her mom had burning started to burn the inside of her nose. She putted herself in the fetal position and closed her eyes. She did not know how long it was but when she opened her eyes everything was back to normal.
