To say that the bombardment of snowfall in Destiny City over the last few days was unexpected was an understatement. One could
always expect snow this time of year but this… This was excessive, even for the Senshi of Frostbite. It felt like it took an eternity for the clouds to clear and for the snow to let up even just the tiniest bit- and that eternity was incredibly frustrating for a young and eager Senshi that wanted to get out and about. Realistically, she just wanted to be able to hang out with her friends and take her mind off of being kidnapped
yet again only a few short weeks before -- which… she should probably tell them all about at some point.
Walking to the park with the light snowfall and all of the lights strung up throughout the city was almost sort of magical, Skadi mused to herself as she meandered her way along the snow-covered sidewalks in her crystalline heels.
You were meant for this kind of weather, she had to remind herself over and over again as she wrapped her arms around herself for some warmth (because she too failed at thinking ahead to bring warmer clothes).
By the time that Skadi had arrived at the park, Oort, Chara and Euporie had already arrived much to her relief- she wasn’t a huge fan of being the first person at any gathering. Teeth chattering, the bluenette slipped up behind Chara to give her new (very warm looking) bff a tight squeeze-hug.
“Hiiiiii~,” she said sing-songy through a big grin as she eventually released him and shuffled around to greet the other two Senshi.
“I make no promises,” she added on to Chara’s comment about the cookies with a laugh. She may have enjoyed baking, but that didn’t always mean she was very
good at it. She was sure they followed the recipe properly though so… They were good, right? Whatever, cookies were cookies she decided as most teenagers would.
Purple-blue eyes glanced up to the sky and her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “That’s weird…” she murmured as she stared, awe-struck. The clouds were nearly completely cleared by now and the stars were speckled amongst a bright, brilliant display of a rainbow dancing in the nightsky. “Wow…” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
The dancing colors would probably be romantic, she thought idly and then made a half confused half disgusted face because she was really unsure how she felt about being
romantic with a boy.
A lot of things this time of year are romantic, her silly teenaged mind decided it was appropriate to add. A light flush covered her freckled cheeks, which she would obviously attribute to the cold if anyone asked.
“Have y’ever seen anything like it?,” she asked openly to the group as she pulled out her senshi phone to snap a few pictures. She was sure this was something out of the ordinary (which should be considered ordinary in Destiny City at this point), and she absolutely positively had to get it on camera. If she hadn’t lost her DSLR in November… Gosh, the pictures she could get of the sky with that camera.
