Quote: Heavy snow had plagued Destiny City for a few days and it seemed to take ages for the clouds to clear. When they finally thinned, there was something more surprising than just the night sky: a glorious display of colorful light danced over Destiny City. A myriad of colors paint the sky, twisting colorfully. Auroras are uncommon in this area, but it’s something unique to see. Of course, ‘unique’ in Destiny City isn’t always a good thing… Sailor Lacerta was staring up at the sky in disbelief. The senshi of bandages had been dismayed by the constant snowfall that had seemed to plague the city. It had kept the senshi confined to her house as she didn't want to risk hurting herself just for the sake of keeping up appearances of being a good senshi. The teen though was now puzzled by the sight that was present up in the sky. The snow had stopped only that evening and she had expected to see a normal starry sky ... not this strange aurora-filled one.
Pacing the rooftop in which she stood observing the phenomena Lacerta was aware that to remain in one position too long was dangerous but she couldn't help but be transfixed by the shifting colors that danced across the sky. From her studies at school Izobel knew that aurora were caused by solar flares barraging the Earth's magnetic field. What was strange and unusual was the fact that they were visible here, in Destiny City, of all places. Weren't they too far south to see this naturally occurring phenomenon? It was a puzzle that Sailor Lacerta could not wrap her mind around. Thus the standing and staring. She wanted to be able to say that she was doing her job as a senshi but there was just a part of the teen that could admire the beauty in which she was observing.

At some point, Iduna had learned that when things were out of the ordinary in Destiny City, that was when you started to worry. The fourteen-year-old senshi stared at the sky in mild wonderment mixed with dread as she walked. Iduna was not a great senshi, by any means, but she tried to do her part, now that she was older and had more excuses to leave the house later at night. They weren't great excuses, by any means, but she could get away with it more.
She kept a loose idea of where people were on her radar, and came across another teen - this one a more 'adult' senshi as opposed to her chibiness - and stopped. This was not a senshi she knew, but she felt like a good senshi at least. And Iduna was not a short person by any means anymore. She was a good five and a half feet tall now and probably looked older than she was.
Except for the decidedly 'chibi' fuku.
"Weird... isn't it? The sky," she said, pointing up.

At first Lacerta had been so distracted by the colors in the sky above her that she forgot to pay attention to the internal radar that seemed to aid those in the magical war to find or sense others. Shaking her head at the lapse in her concentration Lacerta spun around at the sound of the voice behind her. Considering the energy signature of the one that had approached the senshi of bandages was almost one hundred percent sure that this newcomer was on her side of the war. In silence she took in the strangeness of the outfit that the girl was wearing before glancing at her own. There was a small difference between the way that they both looked and Lacerta almost blurted out what she wanted to ask. Instead her gaze turned back to the sky before nodding. "It isn't normal that is for sure. I don't think I can ever recall a time when I've seen the aurora in Destiny City. Not to mention the myriad of colors that we are seeing."
Pausing now the senshi glanced at the stranger again before plucking at one of her outfit's bandages. "You seem to be different than me. Are you not a basic senshi too?"
In her mind Lacerta was truly confused. She had been seemingly left alone after she had found Mel in that strange mirror pathway place and had taken to trying to figure out answers to her own questions but it wasn't always easy to do so. Biting her lip she thought of the one she had fought with before. He had seemed kind enough and they had worked well together. Was she talking to an ally or an enemy now ... only time would tell.

"Sailor Iduna, Chibi Senshi of Apples... though I'm not so young anymore," said the bluenette, having decided that Lacerta wasn't going to attack her, and was actually of order. And rather cold looking. Wasn't she cold wearing very little of... anything?
That did bring up an interesting question; how did one become not a chibi senshi anymore? Did you have to turn a certain age, or do a deed or what. No one had really taught her much of anything of that. Or much of anything as the case was. Iduna was honestly just working off of her own knowledge over the last three years.
"Otherwise, I can't tell you why the 'aura' thing is different," she said with a shrug.

Chibi senshi? That was a new title to behold. Lacerta glanced at the bluenette before shaking her head. Her gaze returned to the sky momentarily before giving all her attention to the newcomer. The shifting colors above could wait for a while. Lacerta could feel different questions brewing in her mind but settled on probably the most pressing one that she wanted to ask. At first though Lacerta realized that she had yet to introduce herself to Iduna.
Clearing her throat Lacerta grimaced before sighing. "It's nice to meet you Iduna. I'm Lacerta, the senshi of bandages," finally she shook herself from her mental musings and posed her next question.
"Iduna, how long have you been a senshi?"
That question posed Sailor Lacerta once again took a moment to study the sky. She wasn't feeling any hostile intent from Iduna and felt herself relaxing her posture.

Iduna tapped a finger to her cheek in thought, pondering the sky for a moment. She'd been... eleven? Maybe twelve when the very fluffy kitty told her she was a magical girl and gave her the senshi pen. So roughly three years, maybe creeping on four. It was odd to think about just how long she'd been around. Through that disastrous masquerade ball, being thrown into the Rift to do... something after meeting the mysterious man Caedus, then shattering her arm in that mass fight against the crazed general, and most recently landing in a world of mirrors, she'd been through an interesting few years. Her brother disappearing did not help anything, and the strain it put on her parent's marriage made home life tense. Now this aurora thing, and she was certain something was behind this, and it wasn't going to be pleasant when they found it.
"Three, maybe almost four years now. What about you Larcerta?" she asked, tilting her head to the side briefly. She really was curious if the older senshi was cold in her outfit. It sort of seemed rude to ask? Or it wasn't rude, but she felt weird doing so. Maybe Larcerta was self-conscious about the bandages or--
"Also, aren't you cold?" she blurted out, unable to contain herself. Well, that ended that mental debate.

This child had been a senshi longer than she had? Did that mean she had more knowledge of what things a senshi was supposed to do and just how to do things properly? Pausing once more to glance at the various colors that shifted above in the sky she gave a sheepish chuckle. She was still quite the newbie then it seemed. "I haven't been a senshi for as long as you have Iduna. I think I was awoken near the beginning of June so only about six months now."
Compared to the length of time that Iduna had been a senshi Lacerta would definitely be the one with green paint on her back. Her gaze turned thoughtful for a few moments before she heard the other question that was posed of her and she considered her reply. "I'm not feeling the cold that much if I'm being honest, although I'm not really paying attention to it. I don't know if that answers your question."
