Lauren possess the ability to manipulate matter on a molecular level. The opposite of her brother, she can compress molecules together.
Techniques:
โAir Compression - At its lowest level, Lauren's power allowed her to compress the air in small spaces and move it. This allows her to push things in many directions like pushing a bag of popcorn out of a vending machine slot with a wave of her hand.
โShield Generation- A stronger level of molecular compression is used to generate shields. She usually does this using air only as it's the most abundant and the easiest to manipulate. Her shields are strong enough to deflect bullets and divert away oncoming cars.
โFenris Force - Unknown to her - By combining her powers with her brother, Lauren can feel the molecules around her in a different way. She and her brother begin to perceive everything together. Their ability contracts and then expands the space between molecules, creating a massive force of energy that is strong enough to put a major dent even in something as strong as a wall of adamantium. For most things it would reduce it to ash or rubble.
Weaknesses:
โMovement - Lauren has to concentrate to compress the molecules to form a shield. This usually means she's fairly immobilized while maintaining them.
โConcentration - Manipulating the air around her is the easiest. Other elements are much harder and require much more concentration from her. That means that more time is needed before she can condense the space between the molecules to manipulate it. These other shield constructs do not tend to last as long nor are they as durable as the ones she makes from the air.
โHand Movement - Because of the level of concentration, Lauren finds that it's nearly impossible to use her powers without moving her hands. She moves them in half circles to compress molecules in order to move it. Or she will rise her hand up to help form a shield. Because of this, when her hands are restrained her ability to compress molecules is severely crippled. The movement itself is also a tell.
โSight - She can only manipulate within her field of vision. If she can't see where she needs to put her power, she can't use them. An example is if she needs to compress air to move an object, she has to be able to see the object that she needs to move with the compressed air.
โEndurance - Using her power takes a toll on her body. It seems to use her energy and can exhaust her if over worked. Another effect is that this isn't just her body that becomes exhausted as her mind is affected too. If she pushes past this limit she could potentially cause other side effects that have yet to be explored.
Skills:
โEducation - She is currently in her senior year of High School. Her grades have always been good but she doesn't take anything like AP classes.
โTraining - For the last three years, Lauren has been secretly training herself. That's why she is able to do anything. Though much of this training has to be done on a small scale so she doesn't have any real combat experience.

In the late 1940's there was a brother and sister team named Andrea and Andreas Von Strucker. They were the older siblings of Wolfgang Von Strucker (A man who would go on to be one of the heads of HYDRA). They called themselves Fenris and they were two terrorists with the Hellfire club. Throughout the fifties and sixties the Von Struckers were involved in many terrorist attacks in London and Rio de Janeiro. It was said that when they held hands to use their powers together that they became unstoppable. In reality when they held their hands and focused they were able to merge their individual powers and perception into a greater force - the Fenris force. This force allowed them to manipulate molecular structures on a near atomic level. And with the X-men facing issues while SHIELD was drastically underdeveloped at that point, they really did seem invincible. However, their son Otto despised the fear and horror that his parents brought everywhere they went. No matter how they tried to raise him he refused to partake in their acts of terrorism. And so he ran away to America and changed his last name simple to Strucker.
Otto was far away from his parents by the time that the X-men started to hunt them down, forcing them into hiding. Which is probably why he was able to conduct his own work researching the X-gene. Like many before and after him, Otto Strucker wanted to manipulate it; he wanted to suppress it. Eventually he was able to do it with one child - his own son. The cost was that as he was injected the serum he made to stop the x-gene from fully manifesting in his son, his son was gravely sick. For years the doctors thought he might have leukemia though no matter what tests they ran they could never find an answer. It was around this time that Otto's wife moved away with their son, Reed, due to domestic issues in the family. Feeling guilty over what he put his child through, Otto stayed away from Reed Strucker as he grew up.
For the most part Reed Strucker did not face nearly as many issues as his father did. He was able to move on with his life after years of being sick. Reed was able to throw himself into his academics and eventually was able to get into a good law school with many hard earned scholarships and grants. He graduated and began to work as a prosecutor against mutant criminals completely unaware of his family legacy. He married his wife and fathered two children - Lauren and Andy Strucker.
Lauren was born in 2020. Her family was fairly well off as her mother was a registered and working nurse and her father was a prosecutor for the state of Georgia. Her mother stopped working when Lauren was born so that she could focus on raising her young daughter. Not two years after Lauren was born, Andy was born. This only extended their mother's leave of absence from the working field but she never showed any sort of contempt at all. In fact, one could say that Lauren had a perfect childhood.
Every summer she and her family would go on a small vacation together. Sometimes it was camping, other times it was traveling around the state. However, as the years wore on without the X-men, the Avengers, and all the other superhero teams there to help, the world continued to fall into choas. The latest generation of mutants had started to come into their powers without many ways that they could learn to harness their abilities. Many of them that couldn't pass as human or had destructive abilities ended up getting in trouble with the law. This put more pressure on lawyers like Reed Strucker. Which meant that Lauren saw less of her father the older she got. She knew that he tried and she never really blamed him for working so hard. She rarely even considered the work that her father did. At least not until her own mutant abilities manifested.
When she was fifteen, on the way back from an event, Lauren and her family were almost killed by a car accident. Because of the life threatening moment, as adrenaline rushed through her body, her mutant abilities woke up. She was able to instinctively throw up a shield which deflected the car from their own, saving all of their lives. To this day no one in the family knows that she did it as she instantly recognized that she could get in trouble for what she'd done.
Since that day, Lauren has had to take a hard look at what it means to be a mutant in society. She knew that she was lucky in the regard that she looked completely normal and that she didn't have to deal with the hardship that many mutants had to. She also knew that she was lucky given that, with the exception of the car incident, she had to actually concentrate and mean to use her powers for anything to happen. Not many mutants her age were so lucky.
Lauren practiced her powers in secret, away from her family and everyone else. It was even to the point where denial became second nature to her in public. She even ignored what happened when she and her brother were at the park with their mom and dad. She had been attempting to get onto the skate board at Andy's behest. When she started to fall, Andy caught her hand. In that moment as they synced together their perception became one. It sent a rush of power through Lauren that she tried for the longest time to deny. It's been less than a year since that moment and she's done everything she could to seem normal.
This is my younger brother. I'm not really sure what to say about him beyond that. We're just like any other family. I know that he's getting bullied at school but there's not much I can do that without drawing attention to myself. I feel bad for him but I don't see a lot of sisters going out and playing white knight for their brothers so I know I would stand out if I tried to help him. But if I can help him to be less of a target or something then I'll do it. He's my brother after all; the insensitive jerk that he is.
