Alphubel was a bit on edge these days. It was a year since all of that attacking poinsetta stuff at the botanical gardens, but he felt like something might be in the works again. He hoped not, after all, he hadn't awakened then, and in October when they went to the gardens again, he couldn't power up because his brother was there. It seemed like the Negaverse just liked to ruin anything it could grab onto, or make things up for ruining, like that new hospital. And his older brother had been looking forward to that to. That had been a terrible disappointment for his brother, and it had taken some time, Alphubel believed, before Tom had fully recovered from it.
So, Alphubel was keeping an eye out in case the Negaverse or its agents were up to something. He kept his lantern secured on his hip, making sure he didn't drop it somewhere and that he could reach it when needed. It was also getting colder too. There had been some snowfall, but not enough to last past the day, but it did signal that it was going to come, whether they wanted it or not, and Alphubel only hoped it would deter any agents for a bit.
That wouldn't happen tonight however. He had just felt it, but he felt the aura of an agent somewhere in the vicinity. He steeled himself, and headed from where he was, walking the path near his school, and going towards one of the parks that were near Azure Valley Academy. There would be no agents around his school!stari_maga Actually gave this a title if you want to change it in your records!

Did Sylvite want to be out here on dark and chilly night? No. No she did not. The Lieutenant much preferred to do her energy draining in cute, cozy shops that were the perfect temperature summer and winter alike, as well as being full of fun things and people who were distracted enough to not notice her doing her thing. Unfortunately, she'd had an off week and was behind on her quota, so here she was. The snow flurries had cheered her up for a bit, but now she was mostly cold. She'd wound up walking towards Azure Valley, the rich boy school. If she had to be out late, she might as well try to see some eye candy and drain some snobs. As if she wasn't having a bad enough night, she began to get that distinct sickly sweet feeling in the back of her skull. It took her a minute to recognize it, because she hadn't run into any of them in awhile, but yeah, it was definitely an Order aura. When she saw the guy walking towards her, she stopped and crossed her arms. When he got close enough, she gave him a once over, from his coiffed hair to his lantern to his fluffy skirt-thing. A weapon. That meant a knight. Gross. A senshi she might've tried to reason with, even in this weather, although right now she was not feeling it, but Knights could get eaten by youma. That would be fine. A very long second passed while she stared at him, chewing her lip."Hi, Mister Shiny-boy," she finally said in a mocking tone, her face scrunching up. She took three big sidesteps to the left and then kept walking forwards, towards the school. "Bye, Mister Shiny-boy." Hopefully he'd leave her alone?

Alphubel wasn't sure what all of the staring was about, but the agent certainly seemed to be judging him. It was quite awkward, and he was trying to come up with something to say that would actually make himself sound like he was super confident and unafraid, but nothing was coming out. He wasn't that afraid of her... probably. He was still wary of agents and hadn't had enough therapy yet to deal with all of it, and so he still flinched a bit when one was around. It was war though, and he needed to get over it.
Finally finding the confidence to say something, he was about to open his mouth, when he was called "Mister Shiney-boy" which gave him pause, enough to where she started to walk past him and even said bye to him. Shiney-boy? What's that from? He thought to himself as he tried to get his head back in the game. He shook it, trying to clear his thoughts, before going after the agent.
"Hey! I don't know what you're planning to do, but you need to stop and turn around!" He said in a more confident voice. At least he didn't say 'I'm not sure', that would certainly have sounded like he was hesitating. He was a squire already! An agent such as this one, who was only a lieutenant it seemed, should not be this intimidating to him! He ran back to her, and in front of her again, making sure to keep a tight hold on his lantern in case he needed to use it.

Well, it looked like he wasn't leaving her alone. Yeah, that had totally been wishful thinking on her part. When the knight called after her, she bit her tongue before saying or what. She knew very, very well that this was a war and that there were tons of horrible, nasty things that could happen if you got caught unaware in the middle of the night. They had happened. To her. This guy was stronger than her, too. This was... this was pretty bad. She stopped and didn't even have to turn around. He was already in front of her. He was really fast. Her gross memories were getting uncomfortably close, so... time for a mini pep talk! That had been then, this was now. She'd been training for this, a lot. She'd be fine. "Okay, okay, whatever," she said, mostly sounding annoyed. Her lips were pressed into a thin line. She summoned her lollipops. Compared to this dude's metal lantern, they felt a little like useless lumps of sugar, but they were cute, and they had a comforting weight in her hands. "Okay, um... sir shiny? Lantern boy? ...I dunno, I'm not loving these. Pretend I'm saying some really cool, smart nickname. It's gotta sound like I don't like you though, 'cause you're in my way. Also the whole space pirate thing." The words came out tumbling over each other in a matter of seconds. She took a quick breath and actually looked at him again. "Anyway, hi. What'cha want?"

Alphubel was surprised at her summons. Lollypops, who would have thought. Why do they even let agents have those? He thought before trying to address her. She didn't seem to be running away or trying to attack him, though he kept his guard up since she had summoned her 'weapons'. "Uh... okay." Sir Shiny? Space Pirate? He wondered if she thought of her self as one or considered knights space pirates. Where she had gotten that idea from, he had no clue, but almost felt like he needed to meet whomever had put that into her head.
He tried to come up with words as to why he wanted to stop her. He didn't want to just go and attack someone who wasn't doing anything, though he knew that he really should be being harder on agents, but he also needed to see if she was up to anything. "I just... I want to keep an eye on you. I know you're a lieutenant, and that means you can be up to energy draining, which I can't allow in my presence." Or at least he wouldn't allow her to hurt any of his fellow classmates if possible.

And... now this was getting socially awkward on top of everything else. Tonight was going just awesome! Not. "Yeah, yeah. Maybe I am going energy draining. Is that a problem?" She put her hands on her hips to try to look intimidating, but that hadn't been working so far, and trying to get around him hadn't worked and she was kinda out of options at this point. "I know. You do think it's a problem. Sorry about that. I still gotta go. I'm saving the world and stuff, you obviously wouldn't know. So..." She looked him up and down one more time. He was stronger than her, yeah, but he wasn't acting like it. He was being kinda hesitant, so that meant that right now was her shot. "I guess we gotta fight!" With that, she ducked forwards and threw a punch at his torso, which was the easiest target according to her training. She was still holding her lollipops for a bit of extra oomph or at least distracting stickiness.

Alphubel furrowed his brows, and was going to say something, especially when she said she was 'saving the world', he wondered how agents were so clueless. One would think the side where they take people's life force away and their starseeds would be on the 'wrong' side of the morality equation, but somehow they convinced people.
However, he was unable to get any words out when she sent a punch towards him. He was able to dodge most of it, though he still got hit in the side, and it hit did add some extra power to it. He 'oomphed' as he was hit, but got behind her and tried to grab one of her arms to pull it behind her so that he could try to disable her.

Was this a good idea? No, not really, but hey, it was going okay. Sylvite's punch kinda connected. She had actually hit a for-real squire, someone stronger than her, and it was working! She grinned. She giggled. She was being a real soldier! And... suddenly she couldn't see him. He was behind her. He had her arm. She couldn't move her arm. Never mind. This was really bad. She had to do better. She had to focus. Yeah. "That's not very nice!" she squeaked. Meanwhile, she tried to take advantage of their close proximity by kicking out behind her.

I really need to take more self-defense classes. Alphubel thought as the agent sent a kick towards him, which made him push her out of the way, rather than him dodging. Hopefully if she had enough momentum and little balance she would fall to the ground. "Nice? You're a Negaverse agent. I can't exactly play 'nice' with you guys, especially since your fellow agents have killed two people in front of me." And that had been the end of him ever trusting Negaverse agents again. Fool me once, fool me twice and all of that.
"Why don't you run on home already? I won't follow you, but this is my area to protect and you aren't going to beat me." He wouldn't let that happen. Not again. Especially with someone who had less power than he did.

Sylvite had been trying to pull away from his grip anyway, so the push was totally unexpected and sent her tumbling. Her knees hit the frozen ground hard, and she skidded a little. "Ow!" Luckily, her awesome boots had kept her from getting any scrapes on her knees, but the sheer impact had left them throbbing. More than that, though, it was becoming even more clear that she was really outmatched. She groaned loudly and slammed her fists into the ground for good measure, looking every bit like a toddler on the verge of tantrum. "Okay, okay, whatever," she said, looking back over her shoulder. "No draining. Fine. I'll go home. You win." She stayed sitting awkwardly, rubbing her knees. Her eyes flicked between the knight and the path home. "But hey, you don't get to act all heroic just because your robe's all sparkly," she said quickly. "You wanna talk about what we've seen? Yeah, sometimes you guys act like we should just be friends, sometimes you tie me up in a cage for a week with no food and barely water, so... y'know."

Alphubel raised an eyebrow. "I'm not sure what my fellow knights have done, but I'm sure we have allies on both sides that stoop to horrible levels. I suppose... for what we figure is the greater good, for whatever side we are on." Not that it excused it, but he certainly hadn't seen any of his fellow knights torturing anyone. Though he wouldn't be surprised if there were some, after all, he had heard of knights going over to the Negaverse willingly. If one wanted to do that, then they clearly could do something as awful as torturing a Negaverse agent. As if that would help anything.
"Now go on home. I won't follow, but I'll make sure you aren't hanging around, waiting for me to go away."

Sylvite sighed huffily, although it was the squire's tone, which she felt was pretty condescending, as well as her general anger from the whole situation that was annoying her rather than what he was saying. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," she said. "I'm not having this conversation with you, mister..." she tried to think of an appropriate insult before settling with another huff, although this one was a bit more grumbly. Anyway, she was not about to admit to this guy that he was probably right. War sucked. She'd seen a couple glimpses of the darker part of the Negaverse. It was nothing compared to Order, though. They were not getting a hold of her city. Except... for possibly right now. "I'm leaving. Like you want. 'Kay?" She turned and jogged back the way she'd come before he had a chance to change his mind about letting her go. She ducked into some bushes once she was out of sight in order to power down. She was going home, but she was going to leave him guessing on where she was. Hopefully he'd be kept busy thinking she was sneaking around. Either way, she was going to sleep now. So much for going out at night.
