He wasn't out for trouble, not really. Rather, the man was out walking the street scrabbling for some meaning to things -- hiding extra features under bandages and makeup and a hoodie, but as he entered a less populated area of town, he found he was less inclined to hide.. And more inclined to remove his covers and wrappings, finally sitting on the fire escape of a particularly tall building to watch things pass. He wasn't feeling very great with himself, but he was doing... Better, at least, and the half-youma sighed, lighting some sage if only for a spot of soothing. It was something at least.

That was a Negaverse officer. Almary knew it, but a really creepy one. The Chibi senshi had been half-heartedly trying to go out on a patrol, hoping it would net him some much-needed experience toward finally becoming a real senshi. He hadn't expected to run into a real threat like an officer, let alone an officer that - that looked like he'd had a bad accident with a teleporter and a spider! A terrified squeak escaped him from where he had paused on a roof to get a look at the signature he had noticed, and he stumbled back, very nearly sitting down on the spot. A spider officer? ... He really hoped that guy didn't bite!

Coffinite was more than ready to address the signature coming his way. A small, young... What was it a baby senshi? Was close, and for a moment, the agent wondered if he need fear attack... Beforte hearing a most undignified squeak, and he frowned. Ooof course. "You know, I can hear you, so you might as well come out of hiding." Coffinite rumbled.

Darn, he'd been noticed - not that it was really that surprising, but that he was being addressed instead of attacked was... different. Especially when it was by someone who was apparently half-spider and all nightmare fuel, at least for Almary. The chibi senshi found himself... somewhat doing as told, though later he'd not be able to really understand why. Maybe it was because he was just that scared of what someone made of spiders might do if he disobeyed. He'd seen enough scary movies to be afraid of that! "...You're not gonna eat me?" Almary asked, peering out of hiding without truly leaving it. Just in case the spider Nega was hungry. "You swear? I've already had enough spiders trying to do that for one year..."

"I'm not going to eat you." Coffinite raised a brow, blinking. "I don't even have anything to do with those other things." Coffinite sighed, rubbing a temple, but offered him a hand. "We're fine. I'm Coffinite. May I ask how old you are if you think you'll be eaten?"

"You're part spider, it's not hard to tell that just by looking at you," Almary said stubbornly, but with a wary glance accepted the offered hand. The spider-nega was being weirdly nice, but it could be a trap... If so, he could probably use his magic to get mud in his eyes if he needed to get away. ... He'd try to be civil first, though, because Mama had raised him to be polite. "Fourteen," he said, then sighed. "I - I know it's dumb, but. Spiders have always scared me and I saw this movie a while back and..." He trailed off and shrugged. "Sorry. I sound like I'm still nine or something, don't I. I guess... you're not out here to do anything but burn your plant-stuff?"

Fourteen?!" Coffinite sputtered, and stared before groaning. "Who would bring children into a war... Please, tell me you can protect yourself." He then paused. "And what do you mean still sound nine? Was that when..." The half-yiouma paled. " WHY?!" Well, he put two and two together, so.

"I'm... starting to take lessons?" Almary offered, blinking. Was... this guy alright? (For a given value of 'alright', anyway, after all he was at least half spider and that had to be awful.) Though... most people seemed to get really upset hearing about chibis, which was understandable but it wasn't like he could do anything about it. He'd awoken when he'd awoken and that was really it. "Because a cat came by, I guess? Sometimes we just do, but we don't have or full strength or anything." He paused, then frowned. "...Not that most of your side cares - if anything, we're easier targets when we're little, and nobody on our side wants to teach us how to get out of trouble once we find it." It was dumb and awful and he wanted so badly to fix it... he just didn't know how.

Cats. Cats cats CATS! First Laodica, now this boy?! The lieutenant snarled, a deep low sound before rising and turning to Almary. "Show me what youknow. What can you do?" He said, tone a low snarl. "I will spar to see where to recommend help. No child needs be out alone wqithout self defense-- or a protector."

Was... this really happening? Was a Nega trying to help him? A half-spider Negaverse officer??? Maybe his was dreaming! That might explain all of the weirdness that was going on today. Still, though, an offer was an offer, and Almary nodded. "Those of us that awaken early - chibis - we're not... very strong. Not just our overall power level but our magic is weaker, I think it's supposed to be a training stage or something except nobody has ever even tried to train me and my friends." He sighed and huffed. "Which is dumb. Not everybody on your side is nice enough to hold back for little kids... a-anyway. How do you want me to start?"

"... If you say so," Almary said, frowning. He still wasn't sure why a Negaverse officer-spider-person-whatever was willing to help him, but so far it seemed pretty genuine. So he took a breath, unleashed his magic in all its short-lived muddy lack-of-glory, then aimed a kick at Coffinite's shins. ... why did he feel as though he ought to apologize for this? Sailor Almary extends his arms and crosses them at his wrists, ‘aiming’ his hands, which are fisted, at a target. Keeping his arms crossed, he flips his palms open, which summons a spray of viscous, gloppy mud that hits a target up to four feet in front of him. The mud doesn’t hit with enough force to hurt the enemy, but if he aims it right it can hit eyes and otherwise obscure vision. The spray lasts for about five seconds at this level.
There's nothing particularly special about the mud - it's just sticky, and tends to glop together, which can obscure vision and make an enemy stagger momentarily.

That... Well it was a start, but he winced as the mud splashed his face, getting in eyes and masking him wince as he tried covering them to wipe it away... And barely dodged a kick. "A good start... Let's see. I'm not going to harm you-- but let me test your skills out." The lieutenant then swung, trying to grab the boy swiftly. He was probably the wrong person for this. He might hurt this kid.... This kid... Who was close to his age when he lost his mother. No. He couldn't kill him. He couldn't truamatizer him if possible, either.

Almary yelped, trying to duck under and away form the grabbing arm, but he didn't manage it and found himself trapped, wobbling in the officer's grip. "Okay," he said, frowning and wincing. "I have no ideas from this point on. Um.... help?" What was he supposed to do when his first response didn't work and someone caught him anyway? He didn't know! Maybe... maybe bite...? Or... something? Kick? This wasn't like someone trying to kidnap; it was different and weird and... "...Erm."

"Joints are weak points." Coffinite explained, lifting Almary carefully in his hand. A second joined it. "Biting is also acceptable. Other agents may cheat." And saying that, he hissed. "Because unlike mer, they have no sense of integrity nor do they care. So you must cheat back. Now, do what you must to get loose." The lieutenant didn't grab limbs, but he did twist his wrist, trying to spin the chibi roughly (but not too roughly!). "Fight, fight hard. I know you can."
