Sajahka had managed to get in the first strike on each of their previous battles, but despite that had never managed to hold his ground through to the end. So, as he darted in this time, it was reassuring at least to hit before the Talean could skip out of his blades' reach again - but he still knew it was only the first step, and he couldn't let his attention slip as before.

Ozzrick began with a grin, which only just faltered at the first none too gentle nick of his opponent's knives as he darted sidelong just a step too soon. "Ah come, what's with the serious face?" He pulled his blades to either side of him. "Warming up to miss again?"

When he swung forward, he knew he made contact - but only barely as the fish rolled, coping with hit with a snarl.

"No hard feelings. I'm sure you'll eventually get the hang-"

Sajahka whipped forward, springing from near a full crouch to directly in the man's space, around back and - with a blade to his throat. He could feel the quick pulse there, and it would have been easy. But there was not real animosity here. Not enough to open a throat, anyway.

The swallow was reasonably satisfying, though. He grunted near to an absurdly long ear, pressing the blade in just enough more to remind the man he'd lost.

Ozzrick had been doing well.

Until, very abruptly he wasn't. He wasn't sure when the fish had learned to move so fast, particularly after two rounds already where he'd seemed to waste a lot of energy on darting around angrily and missing him. But, perhaps after two he'd gotten serious. Either way, it was difficult not to take a knife at his throat seriously.

"Ah- Nm- yes, right-" At the press, he stiffened. "You win."

This, fortunately, seemed to satisfy the mute.
