Despite the fact that he was the child of a socialite who adored hosting parties, Chase had never been one for them himself. Still, at the suggestion he had to admit it was a good excuse to get everyone in the same place and touch ground on some things.
Besides, in the wake of his more violent tendencies he felt that it was important to remind everyone that despite such things they were a team and a unified front.
As he had told Prissy and Regan, they were stronger together.
This was the first step in reminding them of that.
The manor was decorated appropriately with Chase having paid a team to come in and take care of such things, he didn't have the patience for such things these days despite his effort, and he'd hired a caterer to provide an array of food including several that were tailored for his more sensitive stomach.
He'd gotten better at eating more 'regular' foods, but he erred on the side of caution and was aiming to avoid anything that could trigger a foul mood and leave the fortitude around his beast weakened
Chase did not, however, dress for the occasion outside of a dark red v-neck and dark jeans as the affair was mostly casual.
Well, and he had something up his sleeve for later.
Everyone who had been invited was either presently a personally assured wolf in his pack or was about to be indoctrinated, as was the case of Trey.
There was no time like the present to reacquaint everyone.

Traveling to the party involved all of descending down the staircase, yet Priscilla still managed to make herself fashionably late to the affair. Hair fixed down and every curl in place, it was hard to imagine that not long ago, they'd been at risk of being pulled out by one of the very attendees to the evening's Christmas soirée.
If she'd been in charge of the invitations, surely Suri's would have managed to find its way missing on en route to the mailbox, but Chase had wisely taken most of the planning into his own hands, including the invitation list.
Ah, well. There was always the lovely chance that maybe the little blonde hag would end up eating something she was allergic to, thanks to the magnificent looking job the catering company had provided.
"I think you'll be the most dashing among us tonight, Teddy darling," she cooed softly as heels made their way down the staircase, one hand lifting up to offer scritches to her sweet little candy kitty's chin. "If that mean old Silk starts to pick on you, you come directly to me - you understand? We're not going to let that oversized rat ruin our evening."
No... no one was going to ruin their evening, not tonight.
After all, she had two Christmases to celebrate; there wasn't any way she was going to let last year's dud of a date go by without compensation!
Regan hadn't had a proper christmas since she was 4 or 5 years old. After he mother left, her father made sure that money was for gambling and drugs and beating the s**t out of her. Her christmas's had been spent on the streets if she could escape the man before he got his hands on her.
That hadn't changed when her uncle took her in. She had still avoided anything with the holiday as Paul made sure to make it the most miserable days of the year. The idea of family and anything positive for it was ruined by the abusive father.
Even now, she struggled with the invitation to come to the party for the wolves. Her body still sung the sweet rejection of her leader until she was stronger but....If Dia and his Beta wolf were there, plus Silk, then Regan was sure that it'd be okay.
She had no christmas gifts, since she didn't know what to get strangers. She let herself in cautiously though, as to not disturb their violate general just in case.

When it came to social functions, Suri was never known for being the most active participant. When required or expected, she would of course make an appearance, as brief and terse as she could manage, but strong impressions were simply not the woman's forte, and she wasn't about to start making the effort simply because Chase wanted to emphasize that they were all a team.
It was ridiculous--they'd already established that without his magnetic presence, these people were doomed to drift about their separate ways, likely to better endings. What could possibly be accomplished, when Prissy had already made her opinions known, and the rest of the team was unknowable and distant? It certainly had nothing to do with Zircon's extended leave of absence following Labyrinthite's disappearance, the way she'd emotionally isolated herself in a time of the team's greatest need, or how she'd left the country and let the team decay into a disorganized mess. When she'd been offered a position as second-in-command, she hadn't ever actually imagined that she'd one day need to wield that authority without Labyrinthite's guidance. Why would she, when her general seemed so untouchable, unstoppable, immortal?
Suri knew better now.
She'd arrived early because she thought she might be able to assist with some of the setup, only to realize that Chase had already handled every affair with a caterer and proper planner. Setting a copy of the Ellis family Christmas card on a free sliver of counter space, Suri had since retreated to a corner of the parlor under the steady light of a lamp, a pocket notebook in hand and a pen between her teeth as she considered a page full of notes in a neatly pressed script. She didn't glance up to acknowledge the presence of the pinkette as she descended the banister, but her eyes narrowed over her words all the same and she crossed her legs, tucking the prosthetic away from view. With the cut of her sensibly-heeled boots over slacks, all of the metal below her left knee was covered and hidden, but all the same she shifted in her comfortable loveseat until she felt suitably protected. Suri did lift her gaze for a second woman, white-and-blue haired, but only for a moment's assessment before she returned to her work, passing the pen to her hand so she could make a quick edit to her notes.
She wondered if it was too early to break into the wine.

It wasn't hard to notice the others lingering in the living areas, Regan with her beautiful hair and somber expression and Suri with her.... existence.
Eyes wandered around for the man of the hour with no immediate success, so she subjected herself to joining the others where they sat or stood, her hand slowly lowering itself from her sweetheart Teddy's chin.
First up was the youngest, who looked about as excited to be there as one did being in a dentist's office, awaiting a root canal.
"Regan, sweetie, you look absolutely darling tonight." Hands went out to collect the starry-haired girl's, squeezing them gently as she gave the other woman an inspection. While she didn't look exactly festive, she was there, which was a big step considering the events that had occurred between Ada and Labyrinthite not too terribly long ago.
Baby steps, baby steps.
Her head turned to acknowledge the other woman in the room, making no effort to move in her direction.
"And, Suri."
There was a pause, as if Prissy was attempting to force out a polite comment, but the name lingered in the air without any follow-up. A forced smile, teeth and all, was offered before her head turned back towards the kitchen in search of the General responsible for bringing them all there.
"Chase, you're being rude. Don't you know that some of our guests have arrived?"
Because mentioned! Will tag in the others as they appear/don't wanna spam <3

Regan blinked and looked down at her starry blue sweater, the only one she had thought was appropriate to meeting the group. She was no where as dazzling as Prissy was. She took the compliment though, her hands squeezing back.
It was the first time she had been so positively reacted to by another girl.
"Hello Prissy." The girl turned her head at the one named Suri and nodded to the other woman. Since there was catering and food, the girl made her way to the small snacks and to take a seat.
There was some unspoken heat between Suri and Prissy and she would rather watch from the side then be in the middle.
"Good evening General." She said instead to Suri before quietly sitting.
"Is that a cat puked pile of tinsel---Oh. No. It's Prissy. Merry Syphilis." Silk trotted by the woman, sparing her only the briefest of glares. He happened to have some slices of meat in his mouth as well, and sported a deep red ribbon that matched what Chase was wearing instead of his usual fluff and black ribbon. The man had requested he be somewhat civil, so Silk was trying to tone it down some. Trying.
He didn't care to linger though, and had noticed Regan come in. He felt this odd need to make sure she was doing okay, despite the fact they weren't senshi things right now and thus Chase should be fine. Should be. He made a beeline for the woman, who happened to take a seat next to another woman Silk was somewhat aware of, but hadn't actually met face to face yet. "Rehghan---" His mouth was full this time, and he didn't ask for permission as he wiggled his bottom and then jumped, catching onto the end of the woman's sweater and pulling himself up. He seated himself on one of her knees, and dropped his meat there as well. Like he owned her lap.
He did.
He then stared at Suri.
"Yo. Are you cool, or are you a bubble gum brained trollop, too?"

When directly addressed, Suri did look up from her reading, hiding the rest of her expression behind the notebook like it was a fan. "Priscilla," she responded coolly, every piece of her posture coiled into a tight knot while she looked at the hostess for the evening's events. Another young woman sat beside her and her expression only mildly relaxed, glancing down and back up. This was the...stardust senshi? Another of Chase's projects, but at least one with the sense to recognize authority.
"Good evening," she repeated back, but she did the other woman the service of closing her notebook, leveling her amber gaze in quiet assessment. For just a moment, she opened her mouth to say something, only to get interrupted by a piece of fluff with a full mouth. Suri's head snapped to attention, watching the Mauvian maneuver around Prissy and into Regan's lap. Without her notebook to hide behind, her closed lips twitched at the hint of a snicker.
She sighed through her nose, puckering her lips until the smile faded. She was supposed to behave.
Her eyebrows raised when the cat set its sight on her. "Neither," she shrugged, sliding her notebook and pen back into the purse at her hip. Suri could look for trends in data another day, when there weren't talking cats willing to socialize. She knew in her brain that they weren't really cats, but rather some glamoured amalgam creature from a distant planet. Still, when her heart saw triangle ears and a small fluffy body it said cat. It was a weakness.
Suri tried to think of conversation, but her head was full of numbers instead.
"I'm going to get a drink," she announced, pushing herself up from the couch. Prissy had last been seen heading for the kitchen, but it was worth the risk for a cup of anything to ease the shake of her nerves. As an afterthought, she glanced back to Regan and the cat who had claimed her. "Would you like anything while I'm up?"
The invitation had been greeted with a sense of pleasure Trey had amused even himself with. It was a sign that the ingratiating he had been doing was paying off, earning him entrance into what was a far more private and personal affair than anything else thus far.
He wasn't entirely sure what tonight would entail, but decided to play it safe; dress well and bring a gift for the host (and hostess). The chance to meet the people Chase did consider friends would offer valuable insights and the designer's son was well prepared to smooze himself to exhaustion, if need be.
The large mansion he pulled up to was decorated with tasteful elegance, making Trey wonder at the 'casual' setting Chase had claimed when they talked on the phone. The lights and the greenery made him feel oddly under dressed as he slid out of his Lexus, a bottle of wine under one arm and a box of Belgian truffles in the other. He'd opted for nothing more than a dark navy cable-knit sweater with his winter coat and slacks, rather than his typical shirt and vest with tie. At least it was comfortable... and in deference for it being a holiday party, his ears sported small silver bells to go with the one on a chain around his neck.
Hopefully he wasn't too early... there weren't as many cars out front as he would have expected, but maybe this was a more intimate party than he'd thought... or they'd found other transportation to arrive in. The curiousity tugged at him as his breath steamed in the chill air and Trey reached for the door bell, juggling his 'presents' in his arms.

Prissy's calls to her boyfriend went unheard and if she thought she would find him in the kitchen, she would be disappointed as he was no where to be found.
Chase had at some point been in the living room, where the tree sat and he definitely had moved towards the kitchen even if he hadn't gone into it (he still had reservations about it as the renovations had to wait until the new year), but had some how managed to disappear despite the people occupying his home. If someone asked one of the caterers if they'd seen him, they'd get a shrug and an unhelpful answer.
As it was, the man had mysteriously disappeared despite any watchful eyes.
--
Theodore was practically preening in his mistress's arms, cuddled against her bosom and purring like a happy kitten as she praised him. "Of course I am," he chirped, clearly pleased with himself and the pinkette who scratched his chin just right. "I'm with you Miss Prissy." It didn't matter what anyone else wore or how they'd been done up, the candy pair looked the best.
Clearly.
Absolutely.
Duh.
Pink eyes blinked to survey the guests that had arrived, from his headcount he could tell that almost everyone, of importance anyway, had arrived. They narrowed when they caught sight of that hairball disguising itself as a cat and he hurmphed as he was carried past. "Don't worry Miss Prissy, I'll be fine!"

Her nose wrinkled, the lack of the host's presence yet another perturbing addition to the evening. He's the one who insisted guests like Suri and Silk attend - so where was he to keep them occupied and out of her hair?
Better yet, where was he to give her attention??
Hmphing quietly, she stroked her furry child's back idly with one hand as her attention turned to the doorbell ringing. If the man of the hour wasn't going to bother opening the door, she guessed it was up to her to see to the door being answered.
Making her way to the door, the irritated expression was masked by sweetness as the door opened - and then became genuine when she saw who it was.
"Trey! Darling, it's so good of you to join us. Please, come in, come in!"
Stepping back (while eyeing the gifts in his arms at the same time, of course), she gestured for him to come into the foyer. "How are you doing this evening? I hope it wasn't too much to ask, for you to spend a little bit of time with us in between your busy schedule, I'm sure."
___________________________________________
Watching from the kitchen had become a hobby of sorts, to the young woman who'd once again found herself being roped in to helping her father cater yet another party. The holiday season was money making season for the Powers family and Queenie knew that if she wanted any sort of spending money during winter break, she had to at least pick up one or two jobs with her Dad to produce said money.
It hadn't hurt, of course, when he'd told her that tonight's party was hosted by a wealthy young man who, after she Googled extensively, wasn't wearing a ring on his left hand.
As far as parties went, this one had ended up being far more intimate than she'd expected it to - but that was okay, it made for less work on her part and Queenie was a-okay with minimizing her effort. She hadn't spotted the young man she'd seen from the internet searches, but the night was still young, right?
Carrying the tray of drinks out into the living area, she methodically began visiting each member of the party, extending out the tray of flutes towards the partygoers, a practiced smile plastered on her face. Approaching the two young women seated together, she offered her display towards them.
"May I interest either of you in some champagne?"

The cold rushed in around his ankles as Trey stepped through the door, sliding out of the way so the little pinkette could close it again. The chocolates he offered out and his dark head tilted to acknowledge her greeting.
His smile was as practiced as ever, but still warm for that.
"Priscilla. You look stunning! I'm honored that you and Chase would want to include me in your holiday plans. It was no trouble to push around a few things to make time, and in all honesty, I'd rather be here than playing wingman for my mother as she woos some new clients." Trey chuckled. "I hope I'm not too early."
He knew he wasn't, but with the few vehicles he had seen, it was a possibility in the social sense. He kept himself from trying to peek through doors as he shrugged out of his coat, unwinding the scarf around his neck as he juggled the bottle in his other hand. Hopefully the 'casual' theme was holding true, at least. He hated the faux pas of being wrongly dressed.
Suri did not have to travel far for drinks--she turned away from the stardust girl and the cat to find a tray of drinks presented before her in stylish flutes. "Ah, yes, thank you," she began, reaching for a glass of bubbly without any regards to the person holding them until her memory was jogged by a familiar voice, a swath of vibrant pink hair. It was only then that she gave the girl's face more than a passing glance, and with a more thorough inspection, her eyes widened softly.
"...Miss Powers?" Suri asked, pulling the flute close to her body to keep her hands from shaking. She wasn't expecting to see one of her former students, and struggled to find her teacher voice after she'd been so sure that part of her life was behind her, now that she was moving forward with Chase's company. "What a surprise," she added, straightening her posture and her hair, small touches to set her composure in place. "You're in...catering, now? How have you been?" There was a touch of professional warmth to her voice, but under that, a soft tinge of disappointment--while Queenie had not necessarily been the brightest pupil under her wing, she'd always made an effort to do her best, and in Suri's estimation deserved more than the burden of being someone else's decoration.

When Chase reappeared it was quietly, like the man had slipped out of the shadows without notice or suddenly manifested among the rest of the gathered. In his hands were carefully wrapped boxes, each in paper that seemed to scream who they were for. They were set on the table behind the couch and each had the recipients name on it, in case they were confused.
In each box was a sweater.
An ugly holiday themed sweater.
Even Silk got a sweater, which matched the one Chase had reappeared wearing. If anyone had seen him before he conveniently disappeared, they would have realized that he hadn't been wearing it before, which meant he changed.
Which meant that he expected everyone else to change into the sweaters purchased for them.
He said nothing, but his face conveyed his expectation as he stood by the gifts.
Silk would receive automatic pats from the star haired youth, as she watched the interactions. This was the full wolf pack. Everyone was here.
For some reason it made her even more nervous then normal
"Silk." The girl warned, pressing a hand to his head. "Thats General to you, remember?" As everyone filtered in and conversation returned, she finished her meal.
Her attention drew to Chase though as he entered, presents being disperesed among the group and opened. Her gaze landed on.....a...questionable sweater.
It then raised to look at their general, who clearly had a face of putting it on. It practically had an aura behind him that said 'put it on, put it on, put it on....'.
She removed her plain sweater folding it off to the side before sliding the new one on. It was comfy.
But that was about all she could say at the moment. "T...Thank you Chase."
