Inspired by the passionate pursuit of art shared by Dixon Titanus and his associates, this building was one of the first began in the new city. It is filled with mostly Titanic artists at the moment, however the count has taken it upon himself to contact his peers with the aim of acquiring a greater variety of Ethian art. Until such a goal is reached, the history of this great nation is cataloged in vivid renditions of local folklore, oral traditions, poetry, etc. It is guarded by archers and an aerial unit. The museum is free to the public, and open every day from 10am to 9pm. *Event prices may vary. Streets

✺Forgotten Son EC: 100 All the class exhibited by the count exactly matched the place they were headed. He was sure to give a smile where it was due. Those who recognised him seemed to be well-dressed, or at least well-mannered. Clearly, he had been doing well for himself. Perhaps one of his favorite results of his comeabout was that he was seen as better by those who he inevitably--if indirectly--worked with to repair his beloved Ethe.
Some of the gents seemeed to be knowing in the way they tipped their hats; something about the smile, between a smirk, was the best way to convey the need for a drink and stories later to catch up--ah, but again, it was in that, as it was understood in code, why not, that the details were not required. These digressions, as they were unavoidable--perhaps the duchess had received a similarly functioning set of looks, to let her know that she had been doing A-okay on the arm of such a catch--limited the thoughts of the two. For Dixon, it certainly meant that each footbeat was music with the melodious smiles they could share as he pointed to the buildings, complete and not, and what they meant and a snippet of gossip too; he knew also that the sun seemed suited to her bronze skin better than his, and that as the floated through the streets he was having quite a good day, enjoying what was in the bounds they'd agreed upon.
The museum, standing taller than most other buildings save perhaps the bank and the church, was an interesting take on architectural themes of the day, making it any interesting piece itself. Inside, stairs of marble and inlaid alabaster and cloisonné on the walls to give a type of colored intarsia, Dixon pulled Chusi aside to a little-known door leading to a staircase. It led up half a story before jutting off to a smaller corridor.
"This," said the count with some obvious excitement, "is where our artist works." He gestured to a man, busy with chisel in hand, pounding away at a marble block with the beginnings of an arm emerging from its bulk. "He's just finishing the work for Antari's tomb."

Duchess Chusi Chhatrapaticlothing: HanfuChusi had never been to a museum before, not that many were around and since up until a few years ago she hadn't really left Solidon it was something to see. She looked back at the shrinking bank and then looked to her side to see a beautiful church, wondering if it was dedicated to that Onera she heard a lot about from travelers. She was surprised at how the new capital was coming along that she didn't have much time for on lookers. The few that she did manage to see she would smile at and give a soft wave once in a while until they where finally inside the museum. Taking a look at some of the art work Chusi was slightly confused and didn't have any words of critique or awe, she was never someone that took to much interest in the world of the artists and knew very little about it. That didn't mean that Solidon didn't have art as well it was just portrayed differently. The Chhatrapati family had a tendency to show their enjoyment of detail in the buildings they build, the grander the build and longer the time they took the more detail went into every stone and carving. So when she saw the artist at work on a large marble statue Chusi couldn't help the smile that came to her face "Though its just an arm I can see that its going to come out quite nicely" she said as she looked at Dixon, turning her head and letting her long dark hair fly around her head "If you like this I think you might like Nasr, its carved out of a desert mountain" she said to him but then she caught onto a word that made her confused "Antari? Did Bellris request a commission from Ethe?" she asked "Or is it for the Maude? If so its quite a shame, The temple of Antari is rather dark"

"The man is a genius," affirmed the count with some pride. As the sculptor kept on pounding at the inert block, large slates of marble were dislodged and cast aside wherever they fell. In the time it took the count to address Chusi's questions on the matter.
"That won't be a problem," he began, allowing his weight to rest on the railing that separated the open room below where the man was working. The space seemed to only have one door. "Having simply been told the space was shy of light, my man here has invented an arrangement of gems to magnify the light in a way to highlight the darkened form of Antari, who will be made out of obsidian and compressed ash." Next he gestured to the statue the man, covered in dust, was working on again. "He has already completed most of that figure in Bellris' Temple; now he's working on figures to supplement Antari."
"All of these are to be figures from Bellris' past--six in total--with the queen before Hysteria seen as most important of these." At this the artist struck a larger portion of marble away from the block, showing his confidence and skill, and stepped away to consider for a moment the form of his work again. "And this," rejoined the count with a cleverness about the idea, "is our note to the patron. That man, posing as a nameless figure, is history's recollection of the founder of my line--born before Ethe and Bellris were so different." He allowed her a moment to take all of it in. Something about it all made him so proud.

Duchess Chusi Chhatrapaticlothing: HanfuChusi smiled softly "oh I can see he is quite the genius" she said as she watched the marble fall with a crunch "To bring beauty to a place that I have not seen much from is truly an art of its own" she said before looking over at Dixon from the corner of her eye, taking in how he looked from the side. The slope of his nose and the shape of his chin before she looked back at the marble "I had heard that Ethen and Bellrisian Phoenix's had once come from the same roots but I never believed it, were so...different" she said to him "How can two cultures that vary so vastly be related to each other?" she asked more for herself but voiced her question anyway. As Dixon began to move so would she "so he's carving the last six queens?" she asked him a little confused "Wouldn't that be a little hard, none of us really know what they look like other then having blonde hair. I also heard at one point that their might have been some problems with the line of succession like...seventy years ago" she said a bit confused She would stop though and she would smile slightly "What does your founder look like?" she asked him softly.

"It is difficult to fathom," admitted the count with a carefree shrug, "but it is all true. The land called Titania was where Phoenix without labels such as 'light' or 'dark' made their homes." He turned to face the duchess now, quite content to let himself take the occasional dip into those eyes in their current rhythm. "It makes me think of the different regions of Ethe sometimes," he relayed with a certain pensive tamber. "We're so different; sometimes I..."
"Oh, never mind all that," Dixon seemed to become noticeably embarrassed by the way his mind searched for these things in the duchess' deliquescent mien. He immediately spun to face the view of the artist again, thinking it better to hide is incessant jabber in the point of the matter. If luck was on his side, he prayed, he would avoid offending Chusi and keep on going as though nothing was said against her people--that they weren't of Ethe...
But in that, he found, there was yet another insult; compounding was the trespass that cannot be avoided and yet is used as ground to treat the offended as though everything could and did in fact rile them--and so he was on eggshells, and totally against himself. The dumb smile of this total defeat found its purchase on that profile of his at last, and he was able to continue explaining the composition.
"That won't be a problem. You see, models will be hired to help the man simply invent visages for all the queens." Now utterly beside himself, the man turned once more to Chusi and did what he came her for: "... Which brings me to one question: would you do us the honor of modeling for one of these statues?" He didn't flinch, despite his timidness earlier. Eyes strong and smoldering, hands finding hands with a warm that stole from months in the future, "It is clear that we will need the most beautiful women in Ethe for such a task--can't very well allow the Bellrisian women to outshine Ethe's beauty." Whatever her answer, the count could continue on and answer Chusi's last question.
"I'm afraid most accounts are from oral tradition," he said. "It was said that he was quite tall, with eyes and hair black as obsidian. He was strong, but had no more mass than seemed necessary, and a strong jaw." Dixon couldn't help but laugh. "They told me I resembled him, of course, but such a thing is so vague... --they must say it to each new head to instill confidence."

Duchess Chusi Chhatrapaticlothing: Hanfu"If the statues are supposed to be of Bellrisian Royalty don't you think they might find it a little insulting of they were modeled off of Ethen women?" she asked him, however she didn't exactly say no to modeling as one of the queens "Despite supposedly coming from the same beginning we do have some rather...discernable features" what she said next was because she didn't know any better "Bellrisians tend to be a little bit more stocky, colder in stance, and have faces with more angles." Chusi brought a hand up to her face and touched her right cheek bone "People in Ethe...Though more diverse depending on region tend to have rounder faces, narrower eyes and builds that are more lithe in appearance. We look more graceful then they do when we do just about anything. We are walking flames while they, if we were once all Ethen as you say, long since doused that grace that we were naturally gifted"When given the description of what the first ancestor of his looked like Chusi couldn't help but chuckle slightly as she turned just a little and brought her hand to his hair "Well, you have the dark hair and eyes the same" she said, her hands were a little rougher then the normal womans would be, after all she was use to blades not sewing needles, she would then bring her hand down in a motion that would naturally fall into something like a caress as it moved down the side of his face and she let her finger tips, soft despite the last statement, slowly trail off of his skin almost like a falling leaf grazing bare skin "The chins not overly strong but it does have a rather shaped look to it, it shows that your not someone to just randomly mess with unless someones a lack witted" she said and smiled as she pulled her hand away "So...Whats this you sometimes what about?" she asked, not having been one to be thrown off by him saying to never mind about it, she was curious about what was so different.

"Perhaps," countered Dixon with a soft chuckle, "but the subtlety of his hand will disguise the inspiration."
What came next was something that was quite a surprise. He did enjoy on some level how affectionate the duchess had become. A lesser man might have been completely swallowed by the effervescence of her caress; Dixon found himself smirking playfully. "I hope that's a good thing."
"Mm?" Perhaps playing dumb was a custom in his land. She'd never know, right? Dixon, eyes suddenly cervine, corrected himself and recalled what he was musing about just a moment ago. "Oh... It's just that--well, our skin for example--" and, why not, he rolled to the side of the duchess and compared the shades of their arms--"yours so dark and mine so translucent, one couldn't help thinking Solidon and Titania were two different peoples as well."
"Unlike us, you seem to glow. I might be a bit jealous if I was inclined." His laugh was soft but genuine. "Come, I'll show you the exhibits." And so the count would lead, if there wasn't anything else, and head toward a hall with a small door. A similar staircase would lead down to the main hall, where there were paintings, mostly from Titania, hanging and thoughtfully lit. Most of these were of classic scenes from Ethe's poetry.

Duchess Chusi Chhatrapaticlothing: HanfuChusi looked at their arms and frowned slightly in confusion "Yes...but Solidon has been part of Ethe just as long as Titania, but I guess that thinking we are different because of skin and be forgiven, none ever see what diversity Solidon truly holds. The people are pale and golden and dark and look like both moon and night" she grinned at him, clearly proud of her people "We even have a few people that carry the same hair color as the Queen, they call themselves the Yue" she said before she would take his arm and walk with him toward the exhibits "I would like to model for you by the way" she said to him before she started looking at the paintings. She noticed that most of them seemed to be in the same style and she tilted her head slightly "Maybe you should collect art from all over Ethe" she said "Other then that it looks lovely" she said

Suffice to say, the woman knew Ethe. Dixon, at the end of his knowledge on the subject, seemed content to lead Chusi along as he was told to do for ladies regardless of station--even more pleased to here she would model for him--his artist! rather...
Standing before the paintings, Dixon was under the impression that all works by Titanic artists were simply better than those of artists from other regions; though they had sprawling subject matter, the duchess was impressing the count a fair bit with her ability to pick out the common style between them. "You think so? Perhaps I could get introduced to some artists from--"
"Count Titanus??" A louder voice--light, eloquent despite its urgency--cut the placid air of the gallery. It was attached to a slight--one might say svelte--young, blonde man with a jacket that would betray a certain level of status--heaving, standing on the strength of his shadow, blue in the face, it would seem, in the rationed light of the space.
"Hail," nodded the count, somewhat startled. "What can I--"
"I would like a word regarding the rivers..." ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════Quotes

Duchess Chusi Chhatrapaticlothing: HanfuChusi smiled softly, seeming to have guessed what he was about to say "I don't know about that many artists in Solidon, we're not well known in that regard but every province has an odd duckling. We most likely have some obscure ones my brother may have left notes about" she said to him before she looked over at the blonde man and raised an eyebrow, if she wasn't wiser she would have mistaken him for a young blonde girl, which reminded her, didn't Dixon have a ward? Chusi looked the man over once before looking over at Dixon again. She had been taking up quite a bit of his time so far today "If you'll excuse me I think I found a rather interesting piece of artwork that might be of Solidonian origin." She said to him as she let her fingers trail down his arm as she curtsied meekly to him, suddenly portraying a lot more etiquette then she normally would have in privet "I'll be just that way" she said as she began walking toward a painting that was fairly unremarkable in comparison to the vibrant colors of the other pieces that surrounded it but the way the painting portrayed the desert in warm hues it was like you could feel the sunlight coming from the artists work, she was also clearly still within earshot.

Dixon nodded and let Chusi go with a smile, not rushing to the smaller man. "Now... What's this?" He seemed not to care for the tone of urgency, for he was rather overworked as it was.
"Forgive me, good Lord," said the blonde man, giving a quick bow. "I am Vohku Almin, baron of Zalto. The issue with the water supply to many regions has been made my top priority."
"Oh? By whom?" Dixon studied the younger man. Seemed to be a good lad, if a tad green. He was trying to place him, but could not find such a meeting in the past few years he'd been nobility.
"Myself, my lord." This earned an approving smirk from the count, who took a few steps toward the baron with the intent of speaking a bit more civilly.
"I should like to have this issue resolved as well, my good man, but I'm afraid there isn't a miracle cure for sure a rotten thing."
"I'd beg to differ."
"... Then, beg I, explain." At this, Vohku fished out a pair of herbs from his vest pocket of unknown species. They seemed odd, one having a purple stock and the other with a kind of flower that seemed to respond to the movement of the baron's wrist. From his other pocket came a notebook of some kind.
"You'll forgive me for being in a rush, I hope?" Dixon nodded, if only to hurry him along. To his surprise, the man began eating the herbs, chasing them down with some oddly orange drink. It wasn't too much longer after this that the baron began to show some rather peculiar changes. First his hair changed to become like the dark, flowing streams of Bellris' delta in a dim moon. His skin, molting and growing stony projections, gave him the look of a man who was more or less made of corroded or else poorly welded metal. "I'm an alchemist."
This along wasn't enough to stir the count save for the initial shock of the weirdness of the display; certain, "I would have believed you... My good man, why--"
"I would like to help to clear this poison out of the water, but I'm afraid I haven't the resources." Dixon waited, eyebrows high. "... If it would be acceptable, might I borrow some--"
"Absolutely not."
"..." Try again. "Oh... Forgive me for my presumption... It's only that I believe we could--"
"The answer is no, old boy." Dixon leveled a blazing glare at the baron. His skin seemed to do nothing to stop it from rending him through the polished floor. Almin turned and began to head away out the door to the city Dixon was building, devoid of hope or confidence.

Duchess Chusi Chhatrapaticlothing: HanfuDon't do it Chusi, be polite, be proper...nope, didn't work. As much as she would love to continue looking at art work the inner groan was a bit to much and she turned around and she walked back over "I'm sorry, I overheard. Baron Almin right?" she asked with a tight lipped smile. Zalto. Dragon, Zalto Zalto, Dragon was was thinking as she looked at the man "Duchess Chhatrapati of Solidon" she bowed her head to him as she retained that tight smile "you mentioned toxins in the waters. I'm afraid this is a concern of mine since a good part of the river flows though my territory. What would you do to clear the toxins from the water?" she asked him.

Dixon exhaled a quiet sigh and shifted away from the conversation. He simply hadn't the energy to push away the duchess today. She'll learn just what nonsense this was.
The baron, on the other hand, was mesmerized. His eyes jutted back to the count briefly to avoid staring, but to say he was taken with the duchess' beauty. The hanfu was just revealing enough to make her figure completely alluring, and her eyes... how the arrested his very atoms! "I..." SNAP OUT OF IT.
"Ch-Charmed, I'm sure," he somehow managed a smile. Normally he was the one doing the wooing. "My lady, I would endeavor to find the source of the river--at the point it was contaminated and undress--address!--the situation with whatever tools I had--that is to say m-m-magic!" Sweating necklaces for himself, the man laughed stupidly and smacked a palm to the side of his head. Dixon shook his and repeated his sigh.

Duchess Chusi Chhatrapaticlothing: HanfuThe Duchess looked at him quizzically as he spoke and when his words faltered slightly Chusi looked down and coughed slightly as she flicked open her fan and held it level with her chest in order to cover up the opening at the top of her hanfu. "Quite Charmed" she managed to say, she would move the fan slightly in the standard motion as she looked at the blonde man that by the way of his action seemed to be a fair bit younger then she "The source of the river is in Zalto, the fertility festival was held their the summer before last I believe" she said to him before hearing Dixons sigh. Chusi would turn her head slightly in order to look over at her companion and she would raise an eyebrow, wondering what had seemed to get under his skin, but she would ask about it later when they were in privet company. She would then smile back at Baron Almin "The sickness that's currently been spreading isn't something we've never seen before. From what I understand we simply just need to clean the rivers of debris floating down from the war and we will be rid of the illness in little under half a year, but if you can make this toxin leave us in a shorter time it would be appreciated" she said, her voice rather calm despite her roaring insides telling her to snap his neck and rid the world of one more dragon, but none of her inner turmoil showed on her face or in the relaxed state of her shoulders "If you are coming so far out of your way to visit Ethe then you must have some fair confidence in your magic's ability to do so, Is their a way that you can prove that you can remove the sickness from the water?" she asked him.
