Lysander hung around at the bar a lot. It was mostly out of a sort of vain hope that someone would leave something behind that he could eat. Rep tolerated it so long as Lysander stayed well out of the way for the majority of the time, nursing a glass of water in a booth or sometimes even washing dishes. In exchange, he could eat whatever leftovers he felt like in the back of the bar. Lysander didn’t really feel any shame about this, it generally meant that he got some fried chicken or other junk food and washing dishes wasn’t too much hassle all told, it was something even he’d figured out with a bit of being shown what to do.
It was just when things were quiet on the food front that he was left without, and today was unfortunately one of those days, leaving the tall man perched at the bar a little grimly, hoping things picked up more towards lunch, his stomach rumbling. He’d lost a good bit of weight since coming to the island, not at all by choice, and though not skinny, his muscle mass had gone down a little. He felt like he was wasting away bit by bit and really needed to find a way to stop this happening.

One moment Lysander was alone, the next a rather lanky Mist trainee had claimed the stool beside him and was leaning into his side with amber eyes turned up to a face that was, she was sure, a bit thinner than the last time she'd seen it. "You know, some of us on the island might be a bit more generous than others, and need only the tiniest nudges in that direction." The smile that followed this little bit of advice was absolutely impish, and came with the tap of her finger on the side of her cheek. It was about as subtle as Soleil ever got, which wasn't saying much.

Lysander gave Sol a grin that was all perfect teeth. "I was never really good at nudges I think. I've been told I can be a bit ...overbearing. I try and keep it in check. With me there's never been much ground between I don't care.." he held out one hand. "...and you will do as I say." he held out the other.
He leaned on his elbow, propping up his chin. "What sort of nudging does it take for you?"

Soleil smirked back at him, humming in amusement. "Somehow that doesn't surprise me. You do seem the go-big-or-go-home type, for better or for worse." The hand at her cheek dropped back to the bar, nails tapping lightly at the varnish. "Me? I'm easy to please. A little attention, a peck on the cheek." He shoulders rose in a small shrug. "Could be worth a drink, ou l'enfer, something off the menu." Resting her elbows on the bar, she knit her fingers together, chin resting on them lightly.

Lysander nodded with his usual unhurried decadence. "It becomes second nature when most of your life to date has certainly been very very big." Though of course these days things were a lot smaller and a lot more restricted than they had been.
She did however earn an eyebrow raise for her comment. "Just a peck?" he said. "That's not going very big now is it?"
He was really really hungry.

She shook her head, grinning up at him. " At least a peck, but I'm not here to make grand demands." She drew her hands apart to hold them palm up in a helpless, harmless gesture. "But you do gotta give a little to get a little, tu sais? La réciprocité."

Lysander wasn't in the business of hesitation and as soon as someone so much as hinted that restraint wasn't getting a good response he very easily switched gears. It was however very much like he had said, without a lot of middle ground.
"Well." he said. "Then you will have to buy me a very big dinner."
And inclining himself towards her, he captured her lips in a kiss that was certainly a whole grade up from a peck.

Soleil could only smirk as he leaned in to catch her lips in a kiss, and she met his enthusiasm, matching it. Not at all concerned about the inevitable bar bill, because hell, wasn't that what she'd sat down for in the first place. She caught her lip between her teeth as she drew back from him, settling comfortably on her stool and looking altogether too smug. "Hmm, good. I wasn't remembering wrong." There'd been a lot of kissing the evening of the dare or dare game, and she'd started to wonder if they'd all been as nice as she remembered them. His, apparently, didn't disappoint. "So," she leaned forward to pluck a menu from the condiment rack, and lay it flat on the counter between them. "What are we thinking, food wise?" Lucky for Him, Soleil quite liked the usual pub fair. "And don't hold back."

Lysander gave Soleil a lazy smile as they parted, completely unmoved by any glances from the bar staff for the PDA. It still felt strange to him being so open with anything romantic, he'd never really been much of a social butterfly, strictly monogamous to his wife until their divorce and with her as his only partner up until that point. Since coming to the island though it had been easier to simply think why not when faced with intimacies. HIs wedding ring didn't mean anything any longer and things here didn't line up the same with the world outside.
Plus fast food was so so desirable.
He eyed the menu hungrily.
"How about we start with some fried chicken?" he said. "Oh man, coke too. Two glasses of coke. Fries! Loaded fries!!"
He couldn't help but get excited about it all.
"Can I get a dessert too? After?"

"That all sounds just fine." Fried chicken and loaded fries was the epitome of pub food, though where she'd come from they'd called the fries poutine, and she rather doubted these would come standard with gravy. Though perhaps she could ask for a side. And a shot of rum in her coke. She was contemplating this when she glanced back down at the menu, looking for the desserts. "Like what?"

Lysander couldn't look more pleased if he tried at the prospect of a good hearty meal.
"Man... a little bit of everything?" he said. "If not, then chocolate cake, man I'd kill a man for some chocolate cake."
"You are the absolute best."

Fingers knit, Sol rested her chin on top of them, smiling smugly. "I am, aren't I?" She certainly thought so, at least. "You can get whatever you want, we'll share. And you can take the left overs as well." It was such a little thing, but it was making him so incredibly happy. She had the money, so why the hell not?
