No GlowHerd: The Traveling Reenactment faire (Originally the Badieh Badawie
About In the faire, one of the smaller members of their troupe is one of the most enigmatic: La Bruja Blanca, the White witch. She was a member of the Badieh Badawie culture, stationed with a cave on the eastern mountains near the edge of the canyon selling her services and wares with her familiar companions, though too many feared the witch to even try except in the most dire of circumstances, or to attempt to get her to curse their neighbor, which she insisted she did not do.
The Faire however, just starting to leave the lands once all they could access and preparing to host their first faire beyond what had once been a great ice wall, asked more when she offered her services during the volunteer portion of the preparations, trying to find a place to set up and local allies to help them with their venture, and readily accepted her services at the faire.
When everything was over and the faire packed up, she at first gathered her things and began to head back toward her cave, both happy for the experience and saddened to return to her solitude -- only those of the Faire had purchased her wares, the locals still too frightened of her appearance to believe her spells and charms were a form of blessing rather than a hidden curse.. When offered the chance to go with them, the small mare and her few friends jumped on the opportunity to take their curandera on the road, and packed up everything they had and left with the faire.
Beyond her home and the rumors that surrounded her, her frightful looks became an attraction, bringing soquili and familiars alike to her tent to buy her charms and wards and pay for her and her curandera's services, and her reputation as being La Bruja Blanca, the lifter of curses and savoir of unlucky, became well spoken of in the faire.
Additional information• Only shares her true name, Aldonza, with her closest friends. Those who learn it by accident do not get a response if they use it prematurely, other than perhaps a furrowed brow and a slight but stern frown with a flash of the light in her eye.
• It is however requested of her closest friends that they only use her name in privacy, and to call her "La Bruja Blanca", "La Bruja", or simply "Blanca" in public. Because of this, this is the name she goes by most.
• Her bells are hidden by the roses. .
