Though the night with Chase had wrapped up well for the kitten, the news that had been delivered had been nagging at him. When the next day rolled around, Silk was quick to leave Chase's manor and go on about his planned business. He needed to find out what needed to be done to upgrade a senshi, and speaking of senshi, it happened to apply to one in particular that he wanted to check up on...because, yeah. Out of the entire team, he did like her best. She wasn't snooty or stuck up or PRISSY. She was chill and cool and give him pets and to hear that she had been seriously injured because of Chase did bother him.
From his time at the house, he'd been able to gleam all the information he needed about everyone, and so it wasn't too hard to locate where Regan worked. Hopefully she'd be there. The kitten sat outside the shop for a moment, golden eyes narrowed thoughtfully at the place. He was actually out and about today without his signature fluff---after all, he didn't want it to get dirty---and it also made for good sneaking.
Like now!
Silk shot across the pavement as one of the garage doors started to open, and before it even made it too far up, he was under and in. He slunk his way to some shelves, hiding underneath, and then took to peering around the garage for Regan.

Silk would see the powered down corrupt sitting off to the side of the garage being slightly lectured by her uncle. The man's tone was soft and his was a look of concern. He was gesturing to the injury on her arm that was put there by Laby though she knew he had no idea of it.
Her uncle still refused to believe his own brother was dead, and with Regan still coming home with injuries, was sure the man faked it and was still haunting her.
A first aid kit appeared and he made a move before Regan flinched, drawing herself tighter around her.
"Okay. Don't worry kid." He set the box down and stepped away, "I'll leave it here and you can change it yourself. Just make sure if you need help to come and get me." The man stepped away again and smiled weakly at her before gathering up what little workers there was today and shooing them away. The garage now empty, with just Regan and the first aid kit and a hidden kitten earned a deep sigh from the starlight haired woman.
She rolled up her sleeve where the old bandage from her wound was and proceeded to remove it. The gash had some small stitches in it still and was still pink and fresh but generally looked clean. She worked quickly to take care of the cleaning so she could get back to work.

The kitten's ears swiveled in the direction of voices, and he continued to slink further under the shelves to draw closer. Ah! He stayed where he was, watching the older man and Regan, and gold eyes focused on the injuries she had. He cringed. Yikes. He soon got his chance to talk to her though, as the man left, and the garage was empty. Silk slid out from underneath the shelves, and padded over near Regan's feet. "Hey!" He called up to her. Silk didn't stay on the ground for too long though, and his bottom wiggled as he leapt onto a shelf near the woman, perfect for getting a better look at her arm. "I heard about what happened---" He perched on the edge of the shelf, wobbling a bit, and peered at her arm. "That looks gross." He told her bluntly, and then looked at her face. "You doing okay?"

Regan didn't flinch as she saw the black kitten streak over, though her heart sped up a little. If Silk was around, then perhaps it meant the general or Chase was around and neither of them were on her 'wish to speak at the moment' list.
"Hello Silk." she greeted the cat as she continued to clean her wound. "Is he around?" She looked over his shoulder and then around the garage.
Since she didn't see the half moon glint of the scythe or the pink streaked hair, she relaxed a little bit.
"No." She offered and then went about wrapping it so that he didn't have to look at it. "It's a bit gross, but It'll heal fine. I always do." She cut the bandage, tying it and hissing a bit at the small sting of pressure before cleaning up the mess. "He didn't send you did he?"

"Is he---huh?" Silk's nose wrinkled in some confusion as she said she always healed well, like it implied this kind of thing happened a lot. At the last question though, Silk focused on that. "Oh, no, he didn't---I came by myself so, you know, he shouldn't be around either, I think." It made him feel uncomfortable to be talking about Chase like that. Like it was a good thing that he wasn't around, but he kind of understood? Especially for Regan's sake. Still. It felt weird and it felt wrong. "I asked him what happened and he said he couldn't control himself..." The kitten trailed off for a moment, his little brows furrowing. "You didn't say anything to him to set him off, did you?" Honestly he really doubted it, because let's be real, Regan was like a Barbie and stuff but, well, he just had to ask.

A tic worked in her jaw at the mention of her setting him off, and she knew it was because the kitten didn't understand that sometimes....
People were just violent to others because they could be.
"I asked him if he was okay." She looked at the kitten before setting the kit down. "And then I was attacked." She rose a brow. "He treats you the same then?"

Silk's tail drooped as Regan pretty much confirmed what he already knew. Of course she didn't do anything to set him off. It was simply because she was a senshi, and youma didn't like senshi, and youma had rubbed off on Chase. "Oh...no." He shook his head. "He doesn't..." Now he actually felt...this weird emotion. Guilt. He felt guilty that Chase hadn't snapped at him for simply being what he was. "...I don't get attacked because I'm not a senshi thing...He told me why...did he tell you?" Silk wasn't sure if he was supposed to be sharing that or not, but he really wasn't trying to stop himself either. She deserved to know why if she didn't, right?

"Not yet." She offered.
"I have not been told much about his situation besides that he has come back from the rift with afflictions.." She stared at the cat, "And that it was causing some distress with him and us corrupt senshi."
Regan sighed.
"I cannot change that I am a senshi. I do not think I can stop him from killing me if he really did try again."

Silk hesitated, the indecision clear on his face. He didn't think he was supposed to be sharing stuff, but...oh...damn it. Was it fun to be kept in the dark? He didn't think so. He didn't like not knowing where Chase had been for all those months. Adamantine hadn't either, he was sure...and not only did she have to experience that, but she got attacked, too, and she didn't know why. "Yeah---it's because he spent time with youma." The kitten blurted. "They rubbed off on him, you know? Youma hate senshi so---" Chase apparently kinda hated senshi now, too? "So don't tell him I told you, okay?" He narrowed his eyes at Regan. " I didn't tell you anything." He paused once more, and perked up, his ears alert. "Oh, yeah! Chase said you should get upgraded soon. I actually have to go ask about it---I'm doing that after I talk to you. Since, you know, once you reach the next level you'll have better chances of---" He wondered why he was trying to moderate his language around Regan, but he couldn't help the way he talked, so he finished his sentence. "Not getting your a** beat."

Silk was speaking at the speed of light now and Regan had to reach out and pet the poor kitten who seemed like he was upset he even said as much.
"Silk, How can I tell Chase...or even Laby without getting myself killed in the first place?" She sighed and then continued to help the kitten relax.
"Upgrade?" She didn't know what that meant, but if Chase and Silk were looking into it, maybe it meant the general was still holding on just a little for her. Well not to kill her.
"Getting killed." She corrected, "Do you need my help Silk?"

Silk usually hated being touched. Chase was the obvious exception, but at the moment, he didn't think too much about the fact that he didn't mind when Regan did it. The kitten leaned into her hand, balancing precariously on the edge of the surface he was perched on. He continued to speak, not at all seeming to realize he was soaking up the affection. "Oh, I dunno." He rolled his eyes. "Last words or some s**t---yeah! Like...Super? Eternal? Didn't you know that's what senshi things do? You get more powerful the higher you rank up, so if you're upgraded, then----" His expression turned sour briefly. "Then yeah. You're less likely to get killed." Silk shook his head a bit. "No. Pretty sure you're...ready? We---Chase and I---just need to figure out some things on our end---but we'll know soon. Just sit tight and---heal or something I guess." He paused. "...You gonna be okay, Regan?"

Regan usually hated it too, but there was small comforts in petting cats, and even more so when they were understanding ones that actually talked back to you.
It made her feel a little better for indulging in comfort of Silk, because normally she wouldn't.
"I don't know much about being a senshi besides that I am magical and seem to be hated by most of negaspace people. Which is why I joined the wolf pack." Beyond Chase, the wolf pack kept their senshi safe from the others who would think little of her kind.
"I don't know." She answered honestly, her face clouding with troubles. "I don't know what to do." She stopped petting him and then made a small sigh. "can you do me a favor though..."
She disappeared outside of the garage really quick and came back. A crumpled piece of paper and a leather jacket were in her hands. "Can you return this to Chase?" She folded the jacket, placing it in front of the cat. She wasn't sure how he'd get it there but guardians were just as magical if not more so...so....maybe he could.

It's okay, Regan. Silk didn't know as much as he should about senshi, either. He was trying to learn, though. "...What the ********!?" The kitten cried. "Senshi things are hated by others in the Negaverse!?" He gave her a wide eyed look. "...That makes no damn sense! We're all on the same side!" He hadn't been around others enough to have picked up on this prejudice yet, so really, this was news to him. The kitten was stewing in these thoughts briefly as Regan asked her question. "Huh?" He stared after her, about to complain she was leaving him, and that was rude, but she came back. As she presented the jacket, Silk stared at it like it offended him, and then stared at Regan, offended. "Do I look like an errand boy!?" He asked, and despite the fact he was bitching, the kitten grabbed sleeve, decided he definitely couldn't lift it, and instead started to do a few circles around the coat. He bundled it up, and then it disappeared into Negaspace. "Well..." The kitten sat back down on his bottom on the corner of the shelf. He didn't know what to do, either. "We'll..." His brows furrowed. "...We'll figure it out, Regan." He said kind of lamely, but he meant it.

"Even though I was awakened this way....I am still what they think of as a betrayer." She shrugged. She didn't really care either way, Chase was the only one who mattered for the negaverse work.
"But we're on the same side Silk." She reached out and gently pet between his ears. "No but you are the only one that can get close to our general." She watched as he circled around the jacket before it disappeared in subspace.
She was amused.
"Thanks Silk." She reached over and touched her nose to the kittens. "I look forward to what you can do for me, Guardian Kitty Silk!"

Silk didn't really understand that...and added it to the growing list of stuff he needed to find out. Ugh. This sucked hard. He leaned into the petting again, and briefly scrunched his nose when Regan drew it close. He seemed somewhat baffled as she touched her nose to his (her's was warm, and decidedly not wet), and if he could have blushed, he would have. He was this weird mixture of embarrassment and...well. Flattered. "Yeah, yeah---" He grumbled, not at all unkind, staring off to the side and trying to shrink his head back into the fluff he wasn't wearing. That made his shoulders hunch a bit instead for a moment, before he tentatively leaned forward to press his nose back against Regan's for a moment. That was a little too much mushy for him though, and he slunk a bit down the shelf edge before turning to look at the woman over his shoulder. "Talk to you soon so...just get better, okay?"
