New age stores were absolutely intriguing to So Sheen. They had some wonderful teas and incenses, but they were also a good place to simply...listen. Observe. Get a feel for the neighborhood they were in. And get an idea of how receptive folk might be to her divinity. Not that she was planning a repeat of the events over a decade ago. Oh no. She wasn't risking her freedom. Not until she had a way to keep from being imprisoned again.
The little place she'd found might cause her to look a little out of place, in her very pale and prim clothing, but she wasn't going to be anything but herself. Folk could stare all they want. She circled the little store once before contemplating a little windchime with suns carved out of quartz and a silvery metal for the tubes. Oh! Now that would be nice to put on her balcony! Whoever was running the place had good taste. She would have loved a little store like it back in Seattle.

He could use his glamor right now, to work among people, and today he needed to pretend. He was thinking - wondering if feeling human might help him understand Laodica's upset... Was he truly blessed sill if his karma was gone? He didn't know, but he didn't miss a customer in the store, and the half-youma was simply cleaning some singing bells as he worked, quiet and careful before testing a note idly. Only then did he look up, blink, and stop to stare. No. Gods be good but it couldn't be... Could it? The Goddess come to his store? One of her acolytes had shown him hope when his mothber was killed, but to see Her... he White Goddess in mortal body... His jaw dropped in shock, and he stared. Gods be good, it couldn't be.

It didn't take long for her to notice she was being watched. The woman raised a brow and looked up, putting on a sweet-but-confused smile. "Is everything quite alright? I was just admiring the windchime here. Truly, whoever is in charge was very smart to include such pieces." She looked back to the windchime, taking a deep breath. "This place is very well done. Very peaceful and inviting, very zen."

Such praise he was unworthy of, and the half-youma-in-glamor returned to maintaining the bowl, nodding. "I try to see to it my shipments are of the quality I used to find at home." Coffinite explained. His tone was quiet, and patient. He dared not offend, and it was no lie. It was not possible to trulyt lie to divinity. "I'm glad it's too your liking, my lady. If you seek protection from ill spirits such as the chime, have you interest in the candles? I also offer a meditation chamber, and other ilk."

"Oh! You're the owner! Well, I'm glad you are so meticulous about it!" Ah, to be among those who appreciated the well-made and beautiful. "You've quite the little store here! I'm sad there wasn't similar when I was living in Seattle. There were little stores here and there, but nothing quite so extensive as what you have without sacrificing a welcoming atmosphere." And...oh ho! He did call her 'my lady'! "Now what did I do to deserve a 'my lady'?" Oh, she certainly knew she was divine, but rarely did she hear 'my lady' from anyone's mouth, unless they were acolytes. Well...had been acolytes.

"Ah, I give my home away. I'm from Seattle. I... Began learning other paths after my mother passed." He sighed, closing his eyes before smiling. "I'm sorry, you remind me of descriptions some friends of mine gave of a woman they called the White Goddess, and I see no cause not to be polite in the very least, dear. Ladies deserve what goodness they can in a trying city." He smiled a bit and placed his task down, motioning. "I simply tried making this little place as close to home as I could. I want to make sure people are provided for. Those following divine paths, or simply curious. There's more to giving of warmth than the barren, soullessness of some places." Warmth? Here?...She didn't feel anything wrong? It was oddly comforting, even if he gave himself up for a damned soul.

There was a sharp intake of breath from her. There was no coincidence there; from Seattle, and reminded him of a 'White Goddess'. He had to be speaking of one or more of her acolytes as his 'friends'. So he did recognize her divinity. She made sure no other customers or employees were overly close by, then smiled in a sharply bright way.
"There is no need to be sorry. I am who you think I am. And what is the name of the one who has begun to prod at the edges of My Light?" It felt so good to be herself for a moment.

The goddess was. He breathed slowly to calm himself, offering the smile of one whom was beaten down and tired, and nodded. "My name doesn't mean much, but you may call me Nathan if it suits you." He said, voice shaking. He was so tired, and let it slip through letting his body sag slightly, the curl of his lip seeming to flatten so in a sad smile. "I'm afraid then I may not be the best walking any path -- I fear I've tainted my karma just enough I'm seeking... Well. I seek to find a road to follow again really. But I'm more than happy to offer tea and someone to speak to." A friend, if she wanted. It... Might be nice to feel normal once more.

Oh. Oh now what was this? Another lost, broken soul seeking the light of the Goddess? Or thinking they weren't worthy of Her Light? Well. She would have to see where this went. She wasn't a cruel Goddess, so long as things were not...muddled.
"My Path is always open to those who seek it, Nathan. Even if you do not think yourself worthy. I am afraid I do not have what once was Mine, but I am still here. If you have the time, I would like to take you up on that offer of tea. You need not speak of what weighs you down, but let My Light bring you a little comfort, that you may return to the world a little lighter for it."

"I would like that." Coffinite responded gently, and motioned. "But shall I check you out first?" He had a business, after all, and the half youma wasn't forgetting that.... He just... Wow. It meant a deal she'd let him treat her to tea, at least... And company would be nice.

"That sounds lovely." She moved to follow him, windchime in hand. Ah...this was turning out to be a much better day than originally expected already! A potential new follower, some [hopefully] delightful tea, and a wonderful windchime to make her apartment much more homey! Add that to the treats she'd found for Anwnn, the day was getting better by the second, indeed!
