Tadeos was sitting at the table in the house, starring at a couple of packages that were sitting there, debating on whether or not he should open them. Should he wait for Tyr to get back from her meeting with the Duarte or should he just check what was inside now? He knew who they were from, where they were from, and it was likely only to annoy his sister more then anything. As such he wondered if maybe he should hide the packages before Tyr got back. It might save a lot in the way of anger that was for sure.

Pushing to his feet he moved to pick up the two packages, causing a letter to drop out from on top of one of them. He starred down at it before setting the packages back down, reaching down to scoop up the letter, reading it over. As he did so he gave a slight wince over the contents of said letter, "Yeah, I should definite hide these from her." If it was from anyone else or hadn't come with the letter then it might be safe to give it over to Tyr.

Well... he supposed that he could give her the gift if she didn't get the letter as well, right? She'd probably ask him about where the gifts came from though... so maybe he was right to consider hiding said gifts.

Tadeos gave a slight jolt, his icy blue eyes going wide, before he turned to glance toward his sister who had seemingly appeared at what he would call the worst time. He looked at her, to the letter that he had in his hand, and then moved to tuck it behind his back. After hiding the letter he said, "Ahh, they are from... umm..." He was coming up with a blank now that he was face to face with her, not sure what to say with her about the gifts. It didn't seem to matter though since she was able to guess in one where they'd come from, likely from the look on his face.

"Yeah, it seems that dad thought it time for one of his random visits. He must have had some free time from work." Not enough to actually stick around but enough to come to Thelle to drop off the gifts. He looked between the two of them before he finally motioned to one of them and said, "That one is for you... though you don't have to bother opening it if you don't want to. One never knows what might be in there."

He could only imagine what it was that he might have gotten for the two of them since they didn't really spend enough time for the man to know them all that well. Something that bothered Tyr a whole lot more then it did Tadeos making him wonder if she might consider setting the gifts aflame.

"It seems that you've become a mind reader, Tyr. I was just thinking that you were going to consider setting the gifts on fire." Was his sister starting to get that easy to read? Words that he'd never speak out loud because he was certain that she'd do something crazy just to try to surprise him and free herself from a potential lull on her part. He gave his twin the best smile he could muster before he said, "Come on, Tyr. I know that he's not exactly father of the year, far from it, but you might as well at least peek, right? Maybe he will surprise you?"

That of it was just going to get worse because their father had picked up something that she really didn't care for. If that happened it it was really likely that things would be set on fire. He'd just have to make sure that she did so out loud and in a place that was safe since he wasn't really confident in his skills where burn wounds were concerned. He didn't want her to get hurt and he didn't know if she'd let him drag her to see Doctor Forthus given her current mood. Best he kept an eye on her and kept her safe in her current mood even if she was the 'oldest' of the two of them.

Tucking the letter into his pocket he said, "Probably best that I keep the letter. Don't you worry about it and just give the gift your consideration. If it's bad you can always have what he got for me if you'd rather."

"True enough." There were a lot of people that were always asking them if they knew what the other was thinking, feeling, if they could feel each others pain, and various other foolish things that didn't make any sense as far as real life went. No matter though, if they thought that as twins they had all sorts of magical powers then so be it. It didn't really bother him all that much. It didn't seem to bother Tyr either it would seem... or at least she was so focused on the box in front of her to really think of anything else.

"Might as well give it a shot." He said, stepping in closer as his sister took the box that was meant for her, dragging it over, and set to undoing the bow that was on it. Bows were far from what she tried to pass off as her taste but at least she wasn't cutting it up or throwing it on the floor. Leaning over the box when he saw his sister starring so hard at it he looked to see what was in the box, then glanced over at her, then after a moment he lifted a hand to hide a chuckle. He didn't want to be mean or laugh at her but the look on her face was amazing. She looked more startled then anything, like when one surprised a vedra. At least she wasn't making the same honking sound.

Giving a half shrug at her question, "Hard to say if he knows our exact ages but it could have been worse. Remember that year he gave you that fluffy pink dress that you ended up giving away within moments of opening it?"

"There are people out there that like such clothing even if one of those people isn't you."He said, watching as she picked up the box, putting the lid back on it, and he found himself asking in a curious manner, "You going to be keeping this gift or gonna give this one away as well?" The little stuffed animal was cute but maybe a bit too much so, as well as colorful, so it was hard to say what she might do with it.

Glancing toward his own gift with his icy blue eyes he said, "Yeah, let's see what he got me. I assume it's going to be a fluffy dress." He said it in as serious a tone as he could as he caught hold of the box, pulling it over, before he opened it up. It wasn't wrapped in as frilly a manner as the gift for Tyr which was how he knew that it was meant for him and not her. After opening the box he looked into it and then reached inside, pulling out a set of nice, leather pouches that one put on their belt. It was a good gift but one that he felt was a possible catch all gift, as though the man was hoping that it would be useful to Tadeos for whatever reason that Tadeos could come up with for it.

"I think I like it. I can put a lot of my medical supplies into it, the smaller things I don't want mixed in with the stuff in my pack. As such I take back my earlier offer to let you have it." He'd rather keep tiny things and sharp things separate from the rest since it would make finding them when he had need of them a lot easier.

"Yeah, I'm lucky this time around." One time he'd been given a knife because that seemed to be something that one got for a boy and he'd only gotten into trouble with it. As such he supposed some leather pouches were a far better gift. Especially now that he was trying to clean up his act and be a far better person then when a knife was the perfect present he thought to himself, watching as his twin sister moved away from the kitchen, heading instead for her room, "I'll be here."

Getting to his feet he took off his belt, setting to work putting the pouches in place there, before he put his belt back into place. He'd just gotten it back in place when Tyr reappeared and he turned to look at her, giving a smile, "I'm glad to see that your mood is at least a bit better. No burn wounds either, which is a relief. I haven't learned a lot about how to take care of those yet."

Leaning against the table he asked of his sister, "Any idea what you're wanting for dinner? Or did you have something like you were out training with Mister Duarte?"

"I guess it's a good thing that we missed him then." He wondered if the man had avoided them on purpose, knowing that Tyr wouldn't want to see him, or was he just too busy to stick around and chat with them? He couldn't say though, deciding not to think about it too hard since when he thought too hard on their father he tended to end up with a sick feeling in his stomach. He didn't hate the man but he didn't like him either, mostly on Tyr's behalf. She didn't like the man so he felt it his brotherly duty to dislike him as well.

"Just a snack? Alright, we should figure something out for ourselves then. I already heard from mom that she's going to be busy tonight so we need to fend for ourselves tonight." The two of them tended to be on their own a lot so it wasn't as though it would come as a surprise. Now it was just a matter of figuring out what they wanted to make. Neither of them were bad cooks after this long doing the job on their own so it wasn't as though they'd be suffering having to cook for themselves.

"Best that you didn't do that. You won't get any more frilly dresses or stuffed animals if you don't leave him in one piece, Tyr." Lifting a hand to ruffle her short cut hair he gave her a smile. He really was glad that his sister was in a better mood now, it was how he preferred her to be. He didn't want her to be in a bad mood, much preferring when she was in the mood she was in now. A nice, happy one, one in which she was distracted from fights and the desire to send random people his way in hopes of marrying him off despite him being so young.

He was going to do something like that it would be on his own terms and many years from now... but she wasn't really about to take that as a reason to stop with her antics. Moving to sit down he asked, "So you're cooking then? If that's the case then I'm fine with anything you're wanting to make." If he could getting out of cooking he was more then happy to... though he found himself wondering if that meant he had to do the dishes he was sure. Still worth it though if you asked him.
