Joy had been finding herself on pod duty more often thanks mostly in part that she would sign up for shifts that Gabby was on. Having a friend as dear and close to her heart as Gabby was always made the most boring of tasks way better. The intermediate moon could say the same (quite easily) about Seren but she didn't want to take time away from her Love Team.
"'Day, you read any good books lately?" she asked of the sun trainee, seemingly out of the blue.

Pao: Gabby was of the same mind set, though she couldn't always request the same shifts with Joy given their difference in rank she certainly tried as often as she could. Pod duty was, thankfully, something the Moon was more than willing to sit through with her, and she loved having family nearby so it was an overall win-win type of situtation. She was flipping through an old issue of People when Joy asked her a sort of random question, and she blinked. Setting the magazine down, she looked over at Joy and shook her head. "Not since I woke up, 'te, why?"
-----
Huni: "No reason, really, but you have read, like, romance novels yeah?" Joy answered, she herself wondering why she brought up such a topic. "Apparently the library's got, like, a whole lot of 'em that you can check out. And it's got these really weirdo stuff," she couldn't help but laugh whenever she remembered all those dinosaur romance books. There were other variants too but Joy figured she'd give those a look see when she was in the mood to just laugh at the absurdity of it all.
-----
Pao: She furrowed her brows and thought back to all the books she's ever read, eventually coming to shake her head. "No, but 'te, books aren't really my thing I guess? I read recommendations if someone really asks me to, but I've never picked one up on my own before." The girl looked curiously at her friend. "I read home decor magazines and DIY articles online, mostly." A pause, and her eyes went a little big, full of surprise and curiosity. "There's a library here? Since when?"
-----
Huni: "Ahahaha, I was super shocked when I learned we had a library too! Clearly we're better off out and away from Life, diba?" Joy laughed, raising a hand for a high-five, "I like looking through those magazines sometimes, but, like I'm not a big reader either. I lose interest super easy unless it's romance novels. Pocket books, or heck, the ones with the sex-bits." She giggled. "The copies I own have the fun-bits highlighted pa nga, so if you wanna borrow just lemme know~"
-----
Pao: Gabby rolled her chair a little bit closer to her ate, a huge and curious grin on her face. She giggled and gladly returned the high-five. "Clearly," was all she managed before quieting down and listening a little bit more, her head filling with a number of questions. A lot of questions...potentially too many questions...the more Joy talked about it. And her cheeks warmed at the thought of those kinds of books. "I... have never read those before, honestly," she admitted, blinking. "My sisters did, which was grabeng awkward when they were talking about it before bed." Remembering her sisters caused her smile to falter a little bit, but she recovered well enough and added, "But then they've also had boyfriends, so I guess it's not such a big deal for them?"
-----
Huni: "Huh, NBSB ako and a lot of the girls in my school were too by the time we started reading and sharing. It's super kainis when they don't give your books back. My ma would always complain that I already had a title that I would ask to buy and to be fair I did but a classmate borrowed it. Goodbye, books and money," she sighed with theatrical exaggeration. "Now that you mention those home decor magazines I shoulda checked the library for ideas about my kitchen, but oh wellz~" Joy didn't look too troubled by this, she didn't regret how the flat's kitchen came out. "You plan on living in the dorms when you get promoted?"
-----
Pao: The NBSB common ground was a little comforting for Gabby, though she was still clueless about these romance books all the same. "Ah, my sisters had the same complaints, actually. Pero sometimes I'd find books with names ng ibang tao so I guess other people complained about them, too." The girl giggled a little at the dramatic sigh as she propped her head on her hand. "Yeah! Well...that's the nice thing about decor, it's all changeable. Maybe not thing like wallpaper, at least not all the time, but towels and vases and things like that are totally things you can switch out depending on your mood or what vibe you wanna give. Like for Christmas! As for promotion...probably? I wouldn't have anywhere else to move, anyway, and I'd get to save some money that way."
-----
Huni: "Aaaay, bad yang mga sister mo!" Joy giggled, absently giving the pods another look because, well, they were on pod duty. "I couldn't stand living in the basement dorms. I got super lucky Kai was willing to split the rent at the flat, and really, apart from shoes I didn't have much else to spend my money on. And now I have a kitchen~" she trilled. "I might look into buying one of those player-thingies and a good tv so we can have people over to watch. More room in a flat than a dorm, diba? Something Cassie made me think about."
