Feast Of Plenty ORP! A very special thanks to Midnight Holographic, Lady Angel Heart, the artists of the shop, and artist of trinkets to come! Without them, this event would not be possible! The region of Fall’s Harvest has always been plentiful. Harvest Town especially sees countless hauls of crops year round. During the month of November merchants and travelers alike from far and wide come to partake in the festivities. The town’s abundance of commerce, trade, and atmosphere make it the ideal location to celebrate the Feast of Plenty. Each day into November more and more ponies come pouring into the town to sell their wares from every corner of Everchange. This is the best time of the year to purchase some exotic goods and treasures, making the Feast that much more popular within Harvest Town. Due to this massive popularity, the holiday often tends to overshadow that which just came before it. This year particularly the town folk forgot about it all together. It's look as though the feast this year will be the biggest yet and with extra reserves of energy from the lack of an eventful Night of Frights, which for some reason was remarkably un-noteworthy, it's left the towns folk eager for the Feast. However not everyone is beaming with feast time spirit, as the town's folk soon find out. A foreboding air is creeping through the village. A restless presence stirs the crisp winds at night and beckons an ere fog ever closer. They will not be ignored. Some things should not be forgotten. If the town folk won’t celebrate the Night of Frights, then the Frights will have to come to them.

Ponies from everywhere have gathered in Harvest Town in anticipation for the Feast of Plenty. This year preparations happened far in advance, but now that it's the day of you can see everypony's hard work come into fruition. Bales of hay, dried corn stalks, yams and autumn flower bouquets make up the majority of the displays, but each pony has created something unique and different to decorate the front of their homes and stores. Last minute preparation and cooking has filled the street with the smell of food to come making everyone in town even that much more stoked. Thankfully with sunset on fast approach the last of the preparation to be placed were the tables for the feast itself. Just behind the town hall in the park because the streets themselves were filled with merchants and no house would be large enough contain all of these guests meant that a line of tables would have to be set outside. Together the townsfolk set the tables and once set ponies came forward each one bringing something to add to the feast. By the time the tables were set the sun had gone down and the torches were lit surrounding the park illuminating the celebration. Local ponies and travelers alike came together in the park surrounding the large line of tables ready to finally eat. How to play: People posting will be added to a quote list for story updates and action prompts. If you miss action prompts that's okay. You can still roleplay and have a chance at winning prizes. Just act like you've been there from the beginning, or followed with what someone else was doing. However missing action prompts can take away from your chances at prizes. Keep that in mind. Mingle and have fun!
Prompt: Which pony will you be bringing to the event? Are they from town or did they travel to the event? If so where did they travel from? What did they offer to this pot luck style feast? Use these questions to introduce your character into the setting and feel free to continue roleplaying with others until the next update. The feast has begun so enjoy yourself and dig in!

"Check, check.... Cheeeeck."
A frazzled looking pony paced up and down the copious amounts of decorations that looked as if hours of work had gone into putting them together. A clipboard, aglow in pinkish-blue energy, floated in front of her as she made sure everything was in its place. With a long, drawn out sigh, she scanned her surroundings, looking just about done with the whole even before it had started. This had been a lot of work to put together and without the amazing and enthusiastic ponies, it would have never been finished in time.
As the guests started to make their way in, she cleared her throat, "Welcome! Welcome!!" She trotted to the ponies eager to take part and get at the food. "I'm Wisp! Please enjoy the Feast of Plenty! Our host, uh...." She looked around. The Alicorn in question was late of course. "Our host will be with us shortly! But in the meantime enjoy the festivities and have some fun! Eat! Enjoy!"
With that she went to prop up a sliding decoration against a hay bale before milling around, hoping the guests would enjoy themselves.

Salem stared. She stared long and hard at the entire scene before her. She had come because it seemed only natural for a pony like her to take part in fall shenanigans, but now she felt that familiar regret. Why did she ever assume this was going to be fun? She always did this! This wasn't her scene! There wasn't any gore, or chaos, or anything equally as edgy. Alicorn's.... she was a walking stereotype. Still, her interests were not this, and yet here she was.
Except, there was food, and Salem did enjoy food. Free food, especially. When you choose the nomad life of lacking any form of consistent shelter you often took what you could get, and Salem was absolutely going to wreck their buffet. This event was going to rue the day they invited a pony like her.
occ:// She is up for interactions with anyone!

Sandbar had decided to come to the feast, mostly because of the food. Honestly he probably wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for that, after all, his life belonged to the beach and warmer climates. Coming here just to go to a huge celebration? Not his thing. However, some of his friends had insisted he come along, and so he did, not wanting to disappoint them. But he did warn them that he might not be there for long. Surfing was waiting for him back at his home, he didn't want to miss it. However, they had been required to bring something to this potluck event, and so he had decided on some coconuts that had been harvested from the trees and he had bought at the local marketplace, making sure that they were as fresh as possible. It had been about half a days journey after all, and he didn't want to give anyone rotting food! When he had gotten there though, he noticed that not too many other ponies had come yet. He must have been early. Good, more food for me. He thought to himself as he placed his offerings on the table along with the others. Whether people wanted to shave them or use the juice, he didn't care, he just wanted to stuff his face for right now. He noticed that there were quite a few alicorns here already, nothing that bothered him. However, it seemed one of them was already trying to devour what was on the table. Sandbar was glad he came here early then! He decided to introduce himself as he strode up to the alicorn, who seemed to have eyeballs in weird places, and smirked a bit. "Hey, I see you're enjoying the buffet. What do you think is the best?" He asked. Food was always a good conversation starter. ((open for interactions!))

Honey Cinnamon wanted to prance with excitement over the event, but doing so would likely make his dish topple. He'd been so happy for fall to come; the Feast of Plenty was his favorite holiday! Which probably made sense to anyone who knew him since he was a chef. This year, he'd whipped up a rather large dish of something he called baked corn. There was milk and eggs mixed in with a ridiculous amount of cheese and of course, corn. It was one of his favorite dishes, something he'd been making since he was big enough to work the oven. What he was really anticipating was seeing what everyone else brought to the feast. Honey was always on the lookout for new and exciting dishes he could try to make himself and to perhaps put his own spin on! Not to mention he enjoyed meeting new ponies, even if he was a little shy.

Joel waited patiently as his wife put the finishing touches on their booth. He and Rosaline had arrived a few days ago from their village in Spring Rain and were just now setting up. There was a lot to see and do after all. The years prior there wasn't much reason to make such a journey but this year was different. Together the couple had managed to open their dream shop selling their handmade goods and this was the perfect opportunity to test the market. Joel was a skilled woodworker and his lovely wife Rosey was wiz with a sewing machine. Their booth was covered in various trinkets ranging from carved wood figures to hand painted bead jewelry. They had brought a lot with them but the things Joel was most proud of were the quilts Rosaline had made in honor of the festival. It was starting to get dark and Joel could see the crowd had began to make a beeline for the grand banquet. Come on Rosebud if you don't hurry up we are gonna miss all the food! As much as I love to eat your cooking I recon we should let someone else try it.

the ghast walked slowly a small cart attached to his body as he walked in to harvest town having come all the way from his home, not located in any of the towns though he did live in fall's harvest. his tale opened and gave a bellowing growl, as he smelled the food, his tail just as ready as he was for the feast. he had brought along some pumpkin cake, not like normal cake, it was almost like a pumpkin custard, topped with a crumble of sweet crust the smell of pumpkin spice filling the air around him as he took the cakes to the table, having made at least 4 of them big enough to feed a lot of ponies. his tail had been naughty trying to eat them but he bopped it with his back paws and began to have his tail move them to the table. befor he then began to wonder around to see the stalls and festivities.

Fortunately the sun was setting as the feast began to start. Murky Lurky wasn't able to handle the harsh light of the sun. Her eyes hurt too badly and she would often get a headache from the sun's light if she was out before sunset. She had made sure to travel from the swamp, Whispering Willows, far ahead of time so she would have enough time to get here in time for the feast. She had some premonition to come to the feast while luring unsuspecting ponies to a watery grave in the swamp. She had heard them speak of the feast and how excited they were for it. Apparently they were in the swamp looking for some rare ingredient for their dish. After leading the pair further into the swamp she pondered their words. She felt as though something was going happen, something that she would enjoy more than helping Weeping Willow in the swamp.
She had set out not too long after that. Traveling only at night made it hard to cover vast amounts of space. It also made it hard to prepare a dish for the feast so she had arrived with nothing. There was no point in even trying to get someone to make a dish for her to present as she also had no money. No use for it in the swamp. Now if they wanted some raw fish... that she could have supplied save for the fact that it would have spoiled by the time she arrived.
She lurked about in the shadows of the feast her eyes still shut, save for a peek here and there. The smells were quite different than what she was used to, rotting things and water the primary scents that were the norm for her. She was waiting for the sun to completely set before leaving the shadows. Ponies still weren't used to seeing a Bat in their presence. While she normally loved to play on their fear of her kind she wasn't quite ready to spook the feast-goers just yet.
She scowled a little as she heard sounds of many ponies having a good time and in general just being joyous, kind, all the things she pretty much despised. A young pony stepped too close to the shadows she was lurking in and she hissed at him showing her fangs. He squealed in fright before running off to his mother. She quickly moved from her spot to another shadow, just to make it seem like the colt was spooked over nothing. She waited listening and smelling until she could open her eyes to see. She hoped nothing happened until the sun set... and not before she got a chance to try some of the food. Preferably some fish or fruit.((Feel free to spot Murky Lurky and try to interact with her! I'm also going to probably throw in another pony some time in the next day or so if I can decide on who))

Hopscotch loved the feel of a large-scale event such as this one, and though the air was a little colder here than their summery home, it was well worth the long trip.
They had gone well out of their way to make a large batch of caramel-dipped apples and had painstakingly coated every single one with edible glitter in the usual colors of fall, delighting as each one sparkled under the sunlight and thinking the sweat and tears that went into making them in an unheard of amount were well worth it.
Even now, Hopscotch was wandering from one pony to the next while walking casually on their front hooves, a skill they had been gifted with thanks to the blessing of good balance from their youth, a tray of a few of their juiciest apples being held up with a combination of tail, head, and sheer luck that gravity didn't want to interfere yet.

Rosaline couldn't help but fuss over the placement of the decorations and wares on their booth even with her sweet teasing husband behind her calling her away for dinner. "Just a moment sweet pea, I can't decide where to put these tea cozies."Settling for an example cozy being placed on a teapot the rest were put to the side of it. She hurried as best she could to organizing table quickly so they could be off to dinner, but found herself caught up again at knit picking the layout. "I'm looking forward to trying some local food. It'll be nice for a change to try someone else's cooking wouldn't it?"Carefully she placed the fatter more stable objects at the front of the table while keeping the taller less centered objects in a place where there were less likely to be knocked down by curious hooves, but at this point should could feel a playful huff building up in her husband that she knew that it was time to go. "Is it okay to leave our booth like this?" She thought out loud, before answering her own question. "I'm sure it is, lots of sellers have already left for the festivities."With one last glance over the set up she then trotted towards her husband who was waiting patiently just behind. "Oh I nearly forgot!." Running back to the booth just after she had gotten away from it Rosaline made a quick grab for the the basket of food she had prepared to bring to the dinner the night before. "I hope what I made will suffice, it's nothing terribly special. Without much of a cooking space I had to settle on making a sweet potato pie. I'm so thankful that the inn we're staying at let me borrow the oven this morning to bake it. With so much food provided I don't think we'll hear any complaints though." Once at her husbands side again she gave Joel a warm smile suggesting she was ready to go. "Sorry for making you wait. Is there anything you look forward to trying?"

You're always worth the wait and I'm sure it looks great! At least now I know where you snuck off to this morning. Joel looked the pie over. He had no doubt that whoever took a slice would instantly fall in love with it. Once Rosalina caught up the couple began making their way to the park. It would seem they were one of the stragglers as most of the vendors had already cleared out. No worries though, there was still plenty of time before the ceremony started. The view from the park was spectacular. Never before had they seen so many ponies in one place, or so much food for that matter. Joel's stomach grumbled at the site. He hadn't eaten all day and was hungry to say the least. He helped his wife unload her basket onto an empty place on the buffet table and got in line for the feast. There were so many unique dishes and he wanted to try them all! "There sure are a lot of pumpkin dishes here" Joel noted to his wife rather excitedly. A lot of spring dishes contain fresh fruits but pumpkins were a rare treat since they came from Fall's Harvest. All the pumpkin treats were very tempting but Joel was on a mission. A mission to location some Japaleno Cornbread. He had talked to a pony earlier while Rosalina was setting up who brought four trays worth with them. Joel looked at the line of ponies ahead of them and sighed. This was going to take awhile.

Story Update Ponies began flooding into the park and soon each table was full with both the feast and guests. The taunting smell of foods that have been teasing the nostrils of everypony all day were finally inches away from their mouths. A screech of the microphone echoed from the podium speakers, causing all chatter to hush. "testing..testing.." A tired yellowed eyed earth pony with a sly grin stood looking over the crowd. "I know everyone is eager to dig in, -I know at least I am-, so I'll be brief. I would like to extend a warm welcome to all who have came to attend this year's festivities. I think this has to have been our largest turn out to date. I wish to thank everypony for making this feast the most plentiful yet! So without further ado let the Feast Of Plenty begin!"Action Prompt:The tables are set and the guest are here. What does your pony decide to eat? Do they enjoy the food and atmosphere? This might be a good time to try talking to one of the other guests over dinner. Prizes:As a thank you for roleplaying everyone please go ahead and take one of each trinket for each character of yours attending the event. Trinkets can be kept, gifted away to someone else, or given to another pony you own, but you may only take one of each trinket for each pony attending. People just posting now may also take a trinket with the same rules still applying. Assorted Yams and Goards, Bread, Apple Cider, Pumpkin Pie, Turkey, and Red Wine. Larger Versions:Quote List Art provided by Hypnotic Dentist! A big thank you to them for all their help.

His tail drooled slightly at the smell of all the food. it became a little harder for him to control his tail as it lunged at the table. he, however, he managed to sit down on his tail keeping it in place while he took a look at the spread of food, not only of the pony who presented a feast prepared already. but that to witch some of the other ponies had brought to the table. finding a bread, with a glossy look. almost as if it were coated in honey, he snatched one up for himself while feeding some meat to his tail who happily swallowed each chunk it was given.while reaper ate the delicious bread having an apple filled with cider beside him " it's so good:" he muttered taking another bite.

Once the tray on their head was empty, Hopscotch placed it down near the table of food almost in a heartbeat, ready to get a grub on with the fantastic display before them. Of course, they walked normally when picking up food, taking no chances with dropping anything as they passed Reaper as he spoke. Hopscotch drooled, responding gleefully, "I think this is my new favorite event, all this food." They scooped up ample portions of yams, bread, pie and wine, setting them on the plate balanced on his head with his tail. At the last moment, they scooped up a turkey leg and snuck it to Reaper's tail with a conspiratorial wink, whistling innocently as they looked for a place to sit and enjoy the tray of food, deciding at the last minute that the ground, well out of the way of trampling hooves, was good enough a spot as any.
