It was another night of STOPPING CRIME!
Well...more like trying to bust Nega agents, but it was pretty much the same thing in Sedna's book. The night had been rather uneventful so far, but no sooner did she have the thought that she sensed a chaos signature. It was right around her level, so the super senshi felt confident in charging at it head on. She quickly zeroed in on the signature, and when she rounded the corner, her mouth opening to say something good doers said, she was frozen in her tracks and stunned speechless.
She just watched the Negaverse captain crush a small youma under one of his fabulous heels.
...Negaverse agents got rid of youma!?
Sedna just stood there, her mouth hanging open, and a finger partially raised and looking more like a hook instead.

It had been an accident.
Really, he hadn't meant to step on it. It was just a tiny wisp of a thing, really, something that had scrambled across Annabergite's path, so really, it was its fault, because Annabergite wouldn't have stepped on it if it hadn't gotten in his way.
He coughed stagily, hastily stepped back, and tried to pretend that all was well.
At least until he felt the power signature. Annabergite slowly turned.
"Yes, hello," he said, with as much brightness and charm as he could possibly muster when a senshi had just caught him stomping on a youma with his own admittedly very nice heels. "I'm sure you're, uh, but anyway - hello there, can I help you?"

Sedna still couldn't help but continue to stare in stunned silence before it registered that hey, he had noticed her! The senshi shook her head, also completely thrown off guard by how chill the agent seemed to be when confronted with someone of Order. "Uh---" Sedna straightened and finally lowered her crooked finger, her hands resting at her sides for the moment. "I uh---see that you're a Negaverse agent so I kinda hate to ask but you ummm---haven't been stealing people's energy or star seeds, have you?" Well, he probably had, let's be real, but Sedna wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt! "Because if you have and or are planning to---then I'm going to have to stop you." She informed him solemnly. kuropeco aaaaand I'm dead thank you

There was a long pause in which Annabergite stood there, smiling a little too brightly, and the senshi stood there, staring open-mouthed, and the youma dust gently fluttered away on the convenient breeze that swept between them during said pause.
Annabergite cleared his throat, put his hands on his slim hips, and said proudly, "Well, of course I have! That's what I do here in the Negaverse, and really, I'm quite good at it, thank you very much. I'm sure it's a little too much for your senshi self to understand - " He put a hand to his chest, positively radiating sparkles. "But I'm a very, very, awesome Negaverse agent."
He continued to smile brightly at her.
Very brightly.
It was probably a little blinding.
Except now it was Annabergite's turn to stare, except his expression turned to one of suspicion after a moment, instead of incredulity.
"You're not going to stop me," he said, some of the brightness dimming, but not extinguishing completely. "You're not going to do anything, because you're just a senshi, and I'm a Negaverse Captain, and that's all there is to it, because I'm better than you are."

His smile was too bright. It was actually hurting her eyes a bit. Ow. Sedna squinted at him, oh, sorry, she leo-squinted at him, frowning. She was really hoping that it wouldn't come to this. "Well...now see, I am going to do something because I am a senshi, and because you're a Negaverse captain...and it has nothing to do with who is better---" She clapped her hands together and then held them out to Annabergite. "Sedna's Sinister Sinking!" Her magic shot forth, taking aim at the captain then. kuropeco /ded Super Sailor Scout Attack: Sedna’s Sinister Sinking Sedna claps her hands together and then holds them out, releasing an aura that takes the form of a fleet of ships, no taller than her, sailing out around herself that spans 10 feet. An ominous feeling of sinking and being short of breath envelopes those in range and lasts for 35 seconds. Can be used three times.

Annabergite looked immensely affronted at the idea that it had nothing to do with who was better.
"Of course it has to do with who's better, which is clearly me, which is very clearly not you, and it's definitely because I'm in the Negaverse and they're definitely better than the senshi, but also I'm a Captain, and that's definitely bettter - hey!"
Her magic smacked into him - Annabergite had a moment to realize they were boats before he felt himself start to sink, his chest feeling tight, his breathing coming out in labored gasps. He gave the senshi a startled, betrayed look because they'd been having a conversation, and here she was, throwing him under the bus.
Or ship.
Or ships.
"That's just - " He paused to drag in another breath. " - rude. You're rude."
Annabergite, sniffing indignantly, managed to drag the two daggers from wherever they were stored in his pocket of Negaspace, the flowered hilts appearing in his gloved hands. He took a wobbling step forward, then another, heaving for breath, feeling as though every movement was making him sink further and further into the concrete.
This was really inconvenient. Annabergite took a swipe at the senshi once he was nearer.
"Stop this. Let me go!"

Once again, Sedna kind of forgot that even captains had DANGEROUS WEAPONS. The sensei's eyes went as wide as dinner plates as Annabergite produced his, and she was having sudden awful flashbacks to Captain Pointy Sticks who then upgraded to General Killer Q-Tip. She was up creek without a paddle! Or was it down? About to go over the edge which was a waterfall with sharp and pointy rocks at the bottom? "I'll never let go JaaaaAAAACK!" She squealed in panic as he took a swing at her. Thanks to her magic, he was delayed, and she jumped back. Only to clap her hands again and hit him once more with her magic. "Sedna's Sinister Sinking!" Because maybe if she kept it up for as long as she could...it'd give her an advantage!? kuropeco We're only a few posts in and I'm not sure I can take anymore awesome

Annabergite was astounded that anyone would be so rude as to give him this magic in the first place. He felt as though he'd just run ten miles, which was a hellish thought in and of itself, and also every step made him feel like he was slowly being swallowed up by the earth.
He definitely didn't want that.
Even as he felt the magic beginning to wear off, she cast it again. Annabergite let out a squawk of pure indignation this time, swiping at her again with one of his daggers, trying to at least get some part of her. His arms felt heavy.
This really wasn't fair.
"That's - " A breath. " - playing - " Another breath. " - low." Another breath. Annabergite wheezed out a sound and made a slashing gesture that was more just a pathetic arm wobble in the senshi's direction. "I can't - believe - you're - being - this - rude."

He advanced, and she kept retreating. Both terrified of those knives and the fact she only had one use left for this spell. How was she supposed to combat knives!? Really, this whole Negas get death objects and Senshi don't was very inconvenient! Should she start...carrying some around!? That was a thought... Sedna heard a tear, and let out a gasp as one of his blades had snagged her coat. The blade cut a nice streak in it, but luckily no flesh! Not yet anyways. "It's rude that you take people's energy and their souls without permission! I kind of think this is the least of your concerns!" When she felt that the spell was wearing off, she cast it again for the third and final time. "Sedna's Sinister Sinking!" Ok...now she REALLY needed to think of that to do next! kuropeco Annabergite is the sun -cries-

He made a triumphant sound that was half a shout, half a yelp of glee as one of his daggers managed to - finally - make contact. Annabergite grinned, then realized he hadn't actually managed to wound her, and felt that this was entirely unfair.
So was the magic. How come senshi got badass magic, and here he was stuck with two flimsy daggers?
"Oh, come - on - !"
Annabergite flailed his arms, swiping without actually looking where he was swiping, because everything felt heavy, and he was pretty sure that any moment, he was going to keel over and this would be very, very unpleasant, because he would lose and that would be terrible.
He jabbed a dagger somewhere towards the senshi's arm.
"No - you're - ruder!" Annabergite wheezed out. "Totally."Lucyal /longest stare into space

Sedna yelped once more as he started to flail his arms around, and she gasped as he managed to swipe at her arm. Once again, she heard the sound of fabric tearing, and this time she felt a small sting. One eye closed briefly as she cringed--- HEY WAIT! The senshi clapped her hands together once more, and pointed them at the captain. "Sedna's sinking!" While this magic wasn't as strong as her other spell---it did the same thing pretty much, and had more uses! Yes. She was cheesing this fight pretty bad, but she would milk it for all it was worth. "Ruder or---- rudder?" A pause. "Because you know, it's a ship part and---" kuropeco Sorry but not sorry LOL Sailor Scout Attack: Sedna’s Sinking Sedna claps her hands together and then holds them out, releasing an aura, that takes the form a small feet of ships half her height, around herself that spans 7 feet. An ominous feeling of sinking envelopes those in range and lasts for 30 seconds. Can be used three times.

Aha he'd managed to snag her!
Annabergite gave her a triumphant look - then found himself sinking again as the magic slammed into him, not quite as strong as the other magic, but still a complete nuisance. He stared at the senshi for what seemed like an endless moment of incredulity.
"What - is - wrong - with - you?" he demanded, and then lunged, the sinking sensation making him feel heavy and wobbly and off kilter, but really, he was very tired of being submerged and breathless, even if the other senshi was clearly very proud of herself.
Annabergite kicked out a leg, aimed towards her shin.
"I'll - show - you - a - rudder!"

"I can keep this going all night!" She wished she could...but he didn't have to know that it had very limited uses, right!? "So you better turn in for the night, or I'm never going to let you go!" Sedna was making it a point to stay out of his range, but he kind of changed it up a bit when he tried to kick her. He connected with her shin, and the senshi did a hop back on one foot with a yelp. Once again, when it looked like her magic was wearing thin, she cast it once more. "Sedna's sinking!" A pause. " Are you going to go home for the night?" She tried to sound as threatening as possible.

He did not appreciate that she could keep this going all night. In fact, he appreciated even less that she could keep doing this all right, because that was totally unfair, since his weapon didn't have any magical abilities and he was stuck trying to wade through this feeling of sinking and basically it was all very unfair.
Annabergite had at least managed to kick her. That counted for something.
Until she cast her magic again.
He let out a yell of frustration and exasperation - then finally gave up and winged one of the daggers at her as hard as he could, letting it spin through the air towards her legs. "I'M - NOT - GOING - HOME!" Annabergite bellowed, feeling breathless and annoyed. "WITHOUT - KICKING - YOUR - BUTT - FIRST!"
He kicked out again, more out of desperation than actual ability.
"STOP - THAT!"

For some reason, it never occurred to her that he could throw one of his knives at her. Sedna let out a rather undignified squeal as he proceeded to do so. Despite her best effort, as the knife winged by, it managed to knick the side of her thigh. "OW!" The senshi cried, reaching down for a moment to press her gloved hand against the wound. It wasn't deep---just a surface scratch, but it still bled, evidenced by the fact that the palm came back red. It was at that moment Sedna's shot her head up and stared at the captain like a deer caught in the headlights. She hadn't cast her last spell---and she had let up on him.
