So you're interested in owning a character with excess magic? Awesome! Here is the thread to try and do so! However, there are a few rules, so please read them before rolling. Keep in mind that while, at the moment, batteries main purpose are to help the infertile, there may come a time when they are more useful elsewhere!

If you do not know what a battery is, go here.

Gen 1 Dolls/pure Dolls cannot be batteries, as they are all infertile.

Battery RNG Form:

RNG 1 - 40. If you get a 32, 34, 36, 38, or 40 your character is a battery. Any other number means the character lacks the excess magic.

A NM/DD born before June 28th, 2016 must be rolled here, no matter how they were won and where.

Customs and bribes won after June 28th, 2016 can automatically become a battery if you so wish. Anything else must be RNGed here, including breedings, contest wins, and frankens.

You may only roll once for one character. For example, if I roll for Eques and he fails, then he cannot become a battery and I may try again with a different character.

Do not delete posts. Deleting posts will raise suspicion of cheating, and you will no longer be able to try to RNG for a battery.

Batteries are not stronger in magic. They simply have better endurance and an excess to offer to those lacking magic. If you wish your character to be able to help someone infertile to imbue, please sign your character up _____

If the character is rehomed, the new owner may try to RNG a battery chance again.

Only those who are freshlings and above can RNG here. Stones and infants cannot RNG.

Above and Below are full of ghosts, however, the normal eye cannot see, interact, or hear them. Those who can are called mediums. Until recently, a person had to be born a medium to possess the ability to see ghosts. It wasn't until recently that a person could train to become a medium. This thread is to determine if your character was naturally born able to communicate with ghosts.

If your character does roll successfully, then you can decide the limits of their power. The most a medium can do is speak, hear, and interact with a ghost (you cannot touch them in their normal state. Necromancy is the only magic that can make them solid in state). However, a character can be a medium but with limitations, such as only being able to hear them, or only being able to see them. This is up to you!

Keep an eye out for how to train your character into becoming a medium! This feature will be released soon.
