-'Make friends', his mother said. 'Try learning about tech', she said.
Trinket's mother was seemingly determined to keep her son from staying home and learning her way for now. Trinket was not the least bit happy about it, but he was just as determined to be good and listen to him mum. Of course, this meant actually trying to find tech-related extra credit classes for kids his age, and them actually having spots open.
The setup for this class was apparently simple; Partner up, figure out how to navigate around a computer.
The hardest part, apparently, was finding another kid that didn't already have a partner.

-It wasn't the park, nor was it the library. The computer lab was actually full of kids, and all of them seated in pairs at the numerous desks. Somehow, she'd gotten the courage to sign up for something that wasn't nature-related, and so far she wasn't sure if she'd made the right choice. As if the sunlight fueled her energy levels, she was strangely subdued as she looked for an empty desk.
Well, the one she did find wasn't empty, but the seat next to the mass of hair was.
"Um..." She started just before realizing the kid was a hallowed. Oh dear. "....Is this seat taken?" She ventured, hoping her hesitance wouldn't be caught.

-Turning, the bell on his ear jingling softly, Trinket's eyes widened a bit. This had to be one of the absolute prettiest kids he'd seen around school, and the fact that she was a Kumiho made her even prettier in his mind. The race had always fascinated him, and it didn't help that she, in his eyes, looked to be made of stars.
"N-No..." he was a little lost for words, and as such didn't even notice her hesitance. "You can sit." In a show of how he meant it, he patted the chair next to him with a hesitant little smile. His ears wouldn't stop twitching involuntarily, so his little bell just kept chiming for now.

-"Kay!" Already she could feel her energy levels rising again. It felts good, really, to sit next to someone to learn about something neither of them probably knew about.
But...where to start? The screen was completely black, and she wasn't even sure the...what was it called? The tower? Was turned on. This kid must have just sat down, too, because the rest of the kids already had theirs turned on and exploring what was in the machines.
"I'm Astarii!" she exclaimed almost too loudly, earning a 'shhh' from the head of the class. Her ears flopped down a bit as a sign of apology, and she reached a hand over for her new partner to shake. "We're gonna have a good time together, I can feel it!"

-Astarii. It was perfect.
This wasn't at all the first time he was awestruck by another person, it just happened to be the first time it was towards someone around his age. And oh, how awestruck he was. Her name fit her like a glove, in his eyes, and he couldn't help but smile, his still-growing tusks and fangs flashing a bit.
"I'm Trinket. It's not really fancy." But, he liked his name. It's what his mum called him, and she had good taste. "But, um! Yeah!" His attention turned back to the PC they were supposed to be playing around with.
"...do you...know how we turn it on?" He questioned, suddenly feeling very stupid.

-"Hmmmmmmm..." pursing her lips and squinting, Astarii made a show of looking at the computer screen with great interest. It took her a full minute to properly stare at the screen and make her diagnosis on their situation. She had to think it out thoroughly, and make a sound deduction.
"Nope! No Idea! But I bet if we pushed all the buttons we can, we'll find out!" And, as she suggested, she started pushing buttons one by one. Not frantically, but one at a time, waiting to see what happened before going to the next one.
Eventually, she won and the computer slowly booted up! "YAY!"

-That worked.
"Yay! Now...um...what did we...?" He hadn't the slightest clue as to what he wanted to get done, or what they were meant to try out. He took over quickly enough, opening programs, closing them again, searching through files. The students before them had installed several game on the machine already, though none of them so far looked too interesting to him.
Realizing that he'd taken over the machine, his ears lowered and he looked over to his partner. Surely he'd be forgiven for getting excited, right? It wasn't like he'd pushed her aside on purpose.
"Oh, um, Astarii? Do you see anything you wanna try?"

-It was actually kinda cute, watching another kid who didn't seem to come from a 'city' family get into a computer. While she was excited to try as well, she also didn't want to interrupt him, it was fun to watch things open then close anyways! Besides, if he clicked on something wrong and made it shut down again, she knew how to turn it back on now!
"Huh? Oh!" she hadn't expected him to stop, really. "How about that game? The um...World of Something?" It looked interesting and the title sounded oddly familiar to her. How it was familiar, she didn't know. Maybe she heard someone talking about it at some point?

-Booting up the game she suggested, Trinket was met with a character selection screen. Already other students had made their own characters, filling up what seemed to be one server already. So, because he didn't want to risk upsetting someone by deleting one already there, he went and chose a different server to start there.
"Well...We can be male or female..." that seemed restrictive. "...and I guess? Red or blue?" He wanted red. He really wanted to be red. He loved the looks of...what were they called? Orcs? But Astarii deserved a choice, too!
"...Wanna be red or blue?" he asked her with a smile.

-"Blue!" It was the easiest answer she could have given in her life. Who didn't like the color blue, really? "And I really liek the purple ones! No, the ones near the top. Yeah those!" Night elves, they were called apparently.
"Dunno how much more time we have...But we can stay late!" Not only was she excited to play the game now, but she had a friend that she could talk to and play with. Besides, it wasn't like she had a home to go to, and she'd end up just staying behind anyways.'
Of course, it wasn't until hours later that she decided she needed a PC of her own, and this game, since she wanted to play, herself. And she really needed to not be yelling 'GET OUT OF THE FIRE' every 5 seconds!
