"There used to be a mill far up in the outskirts. Rumor's that it's all that's left of a town that used to be there before Mistral."
The Old Mill is a sign of early civilization among the city and is at the hilltop of a large stream. This mill used to conduct energy through the water and also produce Dust in the early stages. Now, it is nothing more than a remnant of a town that used to be settled among the forests. Of course, like most places in the Outskirts, it is teeming with Grimm, but perhaps there are more secrets inside than meets the eye.

Fish scattered in the stream as a large pale hand dipped into the water and scooped a handful of the crystal clear liquid out and to the lips of the large, thirsty faunus kneeling at the bank of the stream. Tessa briefly lamented that some of her hair was now going to be wet as it had slipped around her and into the water, but quickly shrugged off the concern to continue drinking. She'd been walking for days, possibly weeks, she'd lost count a while ago...or possibly she'd just forgotten to count, but a trek from her clan's rural valley to the capital area was not a short one unless one had a vehicle, and even then it would take a couple of days.
Everything was unusually serene here, Tessa was used to the noise of her valley, neighbors chatting away, cattle mooing, the banging of hammers as the blacksmith worked on a weapon, and the consistent cacophony of children's voices as they trained or played after their lectures. Here there was just the noise of the forest and the babble of the stream. It was nice, and the nearby mill would make a fantastic place to nap if she felt one coming on.

The Hyena grim had been feasting on a poor refuge that took residence in the old mill. As it ate, a new scent hit its nose. As it ventured forward, the mill began to fall and crumble as the acid the grim secreted dissolved the foundation of the structure. Seeing the feast before it, it licked its chops as this one was definitely a meal for ages, being able to feed the grim for days on end. Its acid like saliva dissolved the surrounding area around the grim as its mouth watered at the enormous prey before it. It was twitching with anticipation as it waited for an opening to fell the meal in one strike.
Running towards the area where Freed's cat had pointed to she couldn't keep up with Freed seeing that he was much older and stronger than she was, she had lost him since he has sped by faster than she did."Damn, hes so fast..." Rain muttered to herself as she kept running forward until she stopped in her tracks as she saw an odd figure by the river banks drinking water, she was a bit further away from everyone so it looked like she didn't see her. Stopping she looked at the figure and saw that it was her dear child hood friend Tessa, right as Tessa was about to call out to her she noticed something coming up from behind, it was a grimm! Rain had to act quick before the grimm was able to attack Tessa from behind, Rain would flank around both Tessa and the grimm, hiding in the bushes and trees to mask her presence from both Tessa and the grimm. As Rain positioned herself behind the grimm she needed another way to attack the grimm without it being able to know her attacking it, she did remember her brother telling her that if she wanted to attack someone without them noticing to mask their sight as well. So she made smoke seep out of her helmet fast as it started to consume the old mill and part of the area Rain then became the smoke as her appearance disappeared along with her smoke. Rain then moved closer to the grimm as her smoke started to consume the grimm as well. She then took out her weapon in shotgun mode as the weapon appeared behind the grimm, then she took a shot at the grimm from behind to not only do damage but the force of the shotgun to push it out from the smoke and towards Tessa where she would be on full alert of the grimm that was behind her.

After sneaking off, snagging some vintage whiskey, drinking it most of the way down, Onyxia had settled down in the Old Mill to sleep. At least that was her plan since she was somewhat forced now to go to the academy and having to put her vengeance on hold. She had been passed out for a while, sleeping in the upper most part of the Mill, what had woken her from her slumber was the sound of Grimm and people trying to fight it. "you have got to be kidding me..." was the low sound, coarse voice, hung over speech of this teen. Stumbling to get up she eventually looked out a hole to see the Grimm. With a sigh she slowly climbed out and fired openly into the air. "HEY!…UGLY… your mom called." Looking at the Grimm before opening fire on it.
A rumble .. Tessa looked over her shoulder at the mill and cocked her head to the side as she watched it crumble like a house of cards... It didn't look to be so structurally fragile that it would collapse at any given moment....strange. A rustle...Tessa tensed as she heard the telltale sound of paws on the fallen leaves. something was here, something just out of sight, probably watching her... Then gunshots and smoke, the sudden activity caused the faunus to leap to her feet and threw her arms, activating her weapons. Metal slid over metal for several seconds, covering Tessa's arms as she stepped into a shallow defensive stance with her arms held close to her body. She had no idea where the enemy was but knew she needed to be ready to move at a moment's notice. The faunus turned her head at the sound of a body landing next to her, a woman with a helmet and full body suit. Newcomer, that was fine, but she still had no idea where the enemy was, then she heard another shot. Smoke obscuring her vision was definitely the worst thing in this scenario and she needed a clear view of the area, high ground was what she needed. without warning Tessa grabbed the person next to her by the arm, she couldn't recognize them from the helmet yet they felt oddly familiar, and with a grunt threw her overhead toward the hill where the mill once stood. With the other hunter out of the way the Faunus planted her fists on the ground on either side of her as she crouched, narrowed her eyes as she felt the earth rumble beneath her, and took a breath. Then all at once, the ground erupted as a large stone pillar sprang up beneath Tessa as she simultaneously jumped, and set off the rounds inside her gauntlets. The combined force of her semblance, weapons and strength send the large huntress in a high arc toward the hill with just enough time during the height to see the area where she had just been. The force of the blast from her weapons had cleared a considerable amount of the smoke and for a moment she noticed an irregular shape in the foliage, a grimm. Tessa landed and rolled before springing to her feet and cycling her rounds. After a second the faint click of the grenade being loaded sounded, and the faunus raised her arm toward the area where she'd seen the grimm, and fired the round. There wa a satisfying thump as the soil and leaves were thrown up by the explosion and another click as the weapon cycled a fresh round into the chamber a second after firing. "Eyes sharp" the faunus hissed "I don't know what kind that is, but don't ease an inch until you confirm that it's dead!"

As it looked for an opening, the area soon filled with smoke. It howled in frustration as it could no longer see, but soon cackled as it didnt need its eyes. It could smell them all. With the first shot the Hyena zigged to the left of the shot, taking off into a crazed sprint forward. Hearing the voices of something else it moved in an erratic fashion from the shots, though they took some of the black bone armor off of it. The a rumble, and soon the sound of eruption. Not knowing what was there it ran into it, and briefly yelped, but soon realized it was something to climb. Like a coiling snake it zoomed up the pillar and out the smoke. It watched as its primary target landed just as it was perched at the top, it firing something from its arm and then a boom. At the top it had full vision, and letting out a cackling hiss as, shaking its body like a wet dog, releases a wave acid rain. Once done it began to fire acid blast at where it saw the three tastey morsels, positioning itself to leap off the pillar at a moments notice.
As Rain took shot after shot at the Hyena looking grimm she then jumped out of ehr smoke wanting to mask the hyena of their rpesense, jumping out she landed in front of Tessa as she smiled from behind her helmet, while her helmet showed. ": D""Tess nee chan! Watch out this Grim...." She was caught off as her arm was grabbed all of a sudden and thrown over head and over on top of a hill, being thrown she landed on her feet but in a crouching position as her visor showed. "@_@" Being caught off guard from being thrown up to the hill to get a better look from the smoke she made, she mainly made the smoke to mask the hyena's sight but she just now realized that it was bad since Tessa couldn't see through it. Rain then watched Tessa land next to her as she rose up from a pillar and shot a grenade to the floor where the hyena was, hearing the faint click of another grenade being loaded Rain stood up and put her weapon to sword mode as she watched the Hyena start coiling around the stone pillar and get on top of the pillar. Rain then saw the hyena get on top of the pillar and stare at the both of them, Rain took in a deep breath and out as she placed her sword in front of her in a defensive stance. Rain then looked to the side to see someone yelling at the grimm and firing shot at it, Rain squinted a bit and saw that it was her ex girl friend Onyxia, whom she thought was dead this entire time. "??!!" "O...Oxy chan?!"Rain muttered to herself as she was shocked to see her but she soon looked back at the Hyena just as it was firing acid blasts at both Tessa and herself, and at Onyxia as well. Rain then yelled out."Watch out!" Loud enough for Onyxia to hear as well, Rain then pushed Tessa away from her at the same time diving away from Tessa so that the acid blast would miss the both of them at the very least. Rain then rolled after her jump to the side and stood up quickly firing her shotgun, while it was still in her sword mode towards the grimm wanting to do damage to it and or disorientate it enough to draw in the grimm's aggro to put attention on herself, so that Tessa can attack it's blind spot.

Onyxia quickly reloaded her rifle, about to fire when she fell down. Turing to mist she moved to avoid the acid and recover from falling. She landed in a tree behind the other figures. She didn’t recognize one but the other... the other sounded very familiar. Shaking the thought she unleashed another magazine on they Hyena Grimm. Her glasses dropped, adding a thermal like lens to her, making it so she could track the beast better. After another quick reload she switched to her sniper rifle, the rounds becoming stronger. Firing a shot at the broken chunk of the Hyena's armor. Hoping that would wound or kill the damn thing.
Running through the forest, El was trying to catch up to this beast as quickly as possible to minimize the damage. He’s seen the chaos that Grimm can cause due to Grimm attacking his settlements out in Vacuo. He was tired of losing people to these creatures.
”This thing is going to die today. I just hope it hasn’t done too much yet.” El arrived at the Old Mill, following the sound of explosions, screaming, and gunshots and found a torrent of destruction in wake of the Grimm attack. A lot of the environment seemed to be degrading some from a green liquid falling from the sky. It had to be the dog looking Grimm from the MEIS academy that had that green tint to it. There was also remnants of smoke, which seemed to be clearing.
“”Acid of some sort? I better steer clear of this stuff.” El noticed the remnants of a fallen building of sorts, degraded by this acid substance. Without a doubt, this Grimm is already doing damage. A giant pillar would stand in front of El and atop it was where the commotion was coming from. He began running toward the pillar, unveiled Agamemnon and turned it into his Illiad (Greatsword) form. He jumped, and used the ranged function to blast a shotgun shell, propelling himself into the sky on top of the pillar. El placed the weapon in front of him to defend against any of the falling acid he noticed falling earlier. Then he saw the black and green Grimm attacking two people who seemed to be fighting it off. There were gunshots also coming from a distance, but he couldn’t see too clearly due to it coming from the forest.
As he reached his peak in the sky, El noticed someone with a sword shooting at the Grimm had its attention. The other person was shooting from afar. El couldn’t even activate his semblance yet, so he knew he would have to rely on sheer fighting at this point. What was difficult was this acid; however, el noticed the Grimm was a bit damaged on its back right leg. El, pointed the tip of his sword away from the Grimm, and fired a shotgun shell to propel him toward the Grimm. Coming down at an incredible speed, El would deliver a slash to the Grimm’s weak point, on its back right leg, created by the break in its armor, in an attempt to cut its leg off. After his attack, he would also shoot another shotgun burst at the Grimm’s weak spot, at its back right leg, to do damage, but would also propel him backwards to put some room between himself and the Grimm. He would to the right of the Grimm, now about twenty feet away, and some distance away from everyone else.
“I’m here to help! Focus on this things legs and we should be able to get the job done!” El would brace himself, awaiting for everyone else to make their move.

She had seen it from far away, the large beast that seemed to be currently plaguing the area. Soft wings flapped as she would fly fast, her arms hanging down as she grasped a bag between her fingers. A large white box with a red cross on it as she figured the huntsmen in the area would most likely need her help. Flying high as she would survey the situation, her keen eyes trying to figure the best way to approach the individuals fighting, "Oh my, what to do." her voice was soft like bells almost inaudible to the untrained ear, especially since she was so ridiculously high that she doubted anyone could hear her. Drifting down a bit closer on a draft she would try to see for anyone that had been wounded or injured, fully planning on helping where she could outside the battle.
It was near pandemonium, gunshots, acid splashes, and sword swings all to take down this one thing. It was ridiculous, the faunus had fought a deathstalker with just her mother at her side and everything turned out alright, somehow this small creature was giving them trouble. All the same, it was distracted and needed to die. Tessa took advantage of the chaos and sprinted down the hill , running close to the stream as she made her way around to the flank of the monster while the soft soil muffled her footfalls. Another hunter, lot of strangers popping up in this neck of the woods, managed to cut the creature's leg and fire more rounds at it, while Tessa slid to a stop just five meters from the creature and placed her hands on the ground. The soil yielded to her strength easily as she dig the claws of her gauntlets in and gave a great push straight down. The pillar beneath the grimm, along with the ground beneath it, crumbled and collapsed as the faunus used her semblance to create a sinkhole beneath the monster while simultaneously turning the hard stone to loose, fine sand. At fifteen meters deep and ten across, the sinkhole created by Tessa was nothing short of a chore for anything to climb with the steep angled walls covered in sand , yet still she wasn't satisfied. With a growl Tessa clenched her hands tight, willing the sand in the pit to move, creating immense crushing pressure around whatever appendages the grimm was unfortunate enough to have submerged in the sand. "Kill it!" Tessa roared as she brought up her gauntlet and aimed it into the steep shaft and fired a shell from her weapon into the pit , resulting in an explosion that bloomed from the trap like a flower.

Destruction seemed to be the only thing they ever knew. Was it always the same thing with every little plebeian sized rodent?To try and smell their proverbial balls and proclaim or display they were truly the best. That is what the case was in this retrospect. There was the Grimm who truly thought it was superior and then there was that Seven Foot Tall girl who thought the same about herself as she went and destroyed it's home. Crimson reptilian eyes gazed through the waterfall as amid all the panic and destruction, like a true predator, it made it's quiet move.
It never needed to worry about not being able to blend in. Spending time throughout the Outskirts, the River and the Caverns itself, it was truly fitting to the home it made. That came with the green hue on the scales to match the scenery of the grass and trees, the dark hue to math the darkness of the depths the Outskirsts had to offer and the gray to blend in with the water that fell at a rapid pace, creating a grayish-white texture. The water of which the Mill used to gather was not small by any means either. It flowed deep like the River it led out to and the Ocean therefore. So swimming came naturally for when something menacing in size needed to go down deep, the only obvious signs if anyone had ever paid attention being that the fish were scattering in fear. Then again, they were fighting the acidic Grimm. The Fish and other abundances of Nature were already fleeing. What was going on, exactly?
It certainly did not play out most of them were hoping it would go. There was no cohesion and thought to their initial aim. What it appeared to be instead were klutzes trying to go for bad but didn't know how to work one leg in front of the other and the audacity for any of them to throw up spats and say they were experienced. It certainly showed in how they handled the small neonic green hound of a Grimm as it spewed acid down upon them all like death from above. The first one, clad in a mask akin to that of a cat, fired smoke grenades left and right. That really served no purpose other than to confuse the living daylights out of everybody else and as result for their kind smoke assault, they were rightly hurled into the air. They landed of course and took the preemptive, gearing to come to the aid of their ally when the time had arisen. It was a noble cause, but there was huge plausibly fatal error their fellow sniper made.
From their lenses, they sought heat. What was not present within the Grimm's body was heat thereof. Rather, it's body functioned on the dispersal of acid, a substance that thermal could not pick up on. When she fired, it alerted the Grimm of her presence to fire a round of acid off only after taking a leap off the pillar itself, using the kind sword that was coming in the air from a male as a means to take a step and leap off even closer. If the blast missed, it would hit the tree itself would fall and it would be there, the seven foot tall female would found herself snagged if she did not move. She wasn't able to at all, her leg caught in the fray. The Hyena landed down on the fallen tree, ready to subdue victory.
It might have too. What it did not count on however was for the rock behind it to open up wide with rows of teeth as a clawed hand smacked it with a powerful force to crush past it's armor and kill it instantly upon the impact against the trees. Yes, it had blended in with the surroundings to make it's snout appear like it was nothing more than a rock with moss upon it. Slowly and surely, the full body began to rise out the river itself, water falling down as what stood before all the Hunters was a menacing fifty-foot tall beast of nature. The true kind had arrived and it was furious. Not at almost everyone in particular though. It's fury was on the Hyena and now the female underneath the tree. Far from being a dumb Grimm, it's grip grasped down on the large tree with force and it pushed it further, crushing Tessa underneath it instantly. With powerful stomps, it fully emerged out the water, tail swaying as it's sights were now set on everyone else that had impeded on it's territory.
O.O.C.: Due to Konaustin asking me, I wrote his character a death post. The event was to go a whole lot smoother than this, but as a result, it will end here. You all have finished off the second Grimm and are free to return to the Academy or help others. The goal for now within this thread is to flee and some of you have a lot of ways to do so given one of it's Trait's flaws.
Watching the giant winged dragon looking grimm come out onto the old mill made her freeze as she looked at it as she felt like her entire body just froze. She had never seen it so big before. Just watching it kill the grimm hyena without effort, even worse she watched as the giant grimm came right on top of Tessa killing her instantly. Nothing showed on her visor as she screamed. "Tessa!!!" Rain quickly ran to her as she could only see one of her gauntlets sticking out, she looked up to see that the grimm was looking at the hunters as she was way in out of her league, she had to run. She grabbed Tessa's weapon as she remembered what her family did with deceased weapons, wanting to take the weapon back to her family she slid the gauntlet off of Tessa's hands. Rain then ran back and looked at Onyxia and waved her hands telling her to leave, with that she looked at the other hunters there as she wanted them to live too seeing that they came to her aid. From her helmet she produced a lot of smoke as it started to seep out of her, then with her hands she shot out some more smoke to cover the entire area so the grimm didn't know anyone's current position. As the entire area was filled up with smoke she took Tessa's weapon and phased into the smoke as she left the area, hoping the others got out safely in time.
