Droka may not have been the loudest of her siblings nor the most energetic, but she liked to argue that she was the brightest of the bunch. She liked to think of herself as the most likely to succeed, whether it be in hunting or, when the time came, in battle.
It was thanks to her mother's influence that she often remarked to her siblings that she was going to be the most impressive... what did her father call them? Oh, right! The most impressive Shuko to be seen in the Nergui, once she got there, of course.
"It's like hunting, Dad told me." She had reported to her siblings. "Except it's not limited to prey, whatever that means." She had shrugged it off at the time, but what she had attached to was that if she wanted to impress her father, when she was old enough to be evaluated for the Nergui, then she, and all of her siblings, needed practice.
So, she had told all of her sibling to meet her by their usual play area (which was near a rock that was perfect for climbing on and hiding behind) and asked them to meet her there. They needed to work on their hunting after all and Mother always told them that lions were to hunt in groups. So, hopefully, her group would arrive soon, so they could get started.

Broxigar was the only boy in the litter, fluffy and scruffy and always sleepy as his cub energy only game in spurts and leaps, right now it was taking downtime. But of course one of his sisters wanted to do something fighty or hunty when he wanted to sleep. Ugh. And it was his boasty sister too....uggggghhhhhhhh.....
Dragging his paws underneath him as he stared at the dirt as brown as he was amidst all this green grass, the little male pondered to himself if life would be quieter with these Nergui that his father lived with. He certainly hoped so, but only silently...he also wondered if there'd be enough space between him and his noisy sisters. As said pale sister came into view he groaned and sat himself down near the rock of their play area.
"Droka, couldn't this have waited till we'd had some food or something?" He grumbled, rubbing at his face with one of his paws.
